Chapter 783: Chapter 556: The One-Man Transport Team
Surrounded by soldiers ard to the teeth, the shuttle-shaped aircraft was under close watch.
Wearing the Federation’s signature blue respirators and holding OW42 pulse rifles aid downward, they, led by a Major, kept their eyes fixed on the aircraft.
The Major, looking at the single-person aircraft radiating heat, couldn’t help but find it amusing.
Had the person inside offended soone?
Using such an uncomfortable single-person aircraft on a planet with such harsh conditions and not even sparing a troop transport.
“Captain Chael, go help our friend open the aircraft,” the Major said with a laugh.
Just then, a hiss of white airflow sprayed out from the hatch as the person inside opened it themselves.
“It seems our new friend is in good physical condition.”
Amid the billowing white vapor, a young man dressed in standard soldier attire appeared, his respirator effectively filtering the corrosive scent of the planet’s air.
After scanning his surroundings with bright black eyes, he picked up a large backpack and jumped down on bended knees.
The Major narrowed his eyes at the young man in front of him, sneering inwardly, but his face showed a warm expression.
“Welco, Private Mu Fan! I am Major Gerry from the 149th Division, assigned to et you here.” A crisp salute was given, the posture flawless.
“Private Mu Fan, reporting for duty.” Another crisp salute in return, but Mu Fan was puzzled inside. The Falcon had told him there was nothing special about his identity, so why was a Major being so cordial to him?
Still, this made Mu Fan relax a bit, perhaps he was just too sensitive to the word “war.”
“We have the 149th Division’s forward base ahead, but I can’t take you to see Colonel Quinton right now. The fighting is fierce, and the Colonel has not rested for several days. I hope you can understand,” Major Gerry said with a smile.
Mu Fan nodded, indicating his understanding. It would indeed be strange for a private to et high-ranking officers casually.
“However, before you arrived, Colonel Quinton was already inford and had made arrangents. First, let clarify, Planet Epsilon E73 is a front-line battlefield, and as a private, you must familiarize yourself with the battlefield. Therefore, your assignnt is as follows—”
“The Fire Hills sector needs support. The division’s military supplies are ready, including two supply vehicles. You will accompany the convoy to the support area, and upon arrival, all actions are under the command of the Fire Hills area officers.”
His first mission was to escort supplies?
“Due to the intense fighting and limited personnel, this convoy will have only you as an escort. Don’t worry about the journey; two military robots will drive you to your destination. Your personal safety must be your primary concern.”
Mu Fan’s determined gaze t Major Gerry’s as he nodded firmly.
He quite liked this military way of speaking, although the mission seed sowhat demanding with him being the only escort for the supplies, it didn’t give him any negative feelings.

“Location sent, please report the status of the supply check.”

Major Gerry quietly listened to the content over the Sky Communication, confirming the process, while signaling with his eyes for Mu Fan to wait a mont.
“Mu Fan, a communication signal detected, it’s likely this unit’s internal communication. Stay within three ters of it, I need to synchronize with its frequency.”
Suddenly, Lord Black’s voice reminded him.
Lacking a public network as a springboard, Black could now only infiltrate through the force field of his watch, so naturally, he couldn’t act as freely as before.
Mu Fan subtly tapped his teeth to indicate he understood.
Then, as the Major across him connected to the military Sky Communication, Mu Fan stepped forward and walked directly toward Major Gerry, who was still on the call.
The two Lieutenants beside the Major looked over warily, wanting to stop Mu Fan.
“This is my identification docunt! Please check it, Sir.”
Mu Fan took out an encrypted Laser Dog Tag and handed it over with a sincere expression.
The Lieutenants’ wariness relaxed, they took it, and another one took out a scanner to gently sweep over the Laser Dog Tag.
A graphic information instantly appeared on the scanner.
Then the two Lieutenants sized up Mu Fan against the photo and took out a palm-print recognizer.
During this series of verification, Mu Fan stood upright about two ters from Major Gerry’s side.
During the call, Major Gerry glanced at Mu Fan and, seeing the situation, did nothing but nod slightly.
When Mu Fan’s palm print was recognized, a low command was also heard nearby:
“The supply truck is now departing.”
Then, turning off the Sky Communication, Major Gerry smiled at Mu Fan standing in front of him, “As long as the supplies successfully reach their destination, it will count as military rit. The intensity of the battle in the Fire Hills zone is moderate, I hope you grow into an excellent warrior!”
“Infiltration complete, this military uses mid-wave communication, the ground waves transmit well avoiding the high-altitude electromagnetic chaotic flows, I have left a backdoor in this troop’s supply departnt communicator. With this as a base, Lord Black’s grand plan on the planet begins,” Black said smugly.
Mu Fan took a step back, looked sincerely at Major Gerry, nodded vigorously, and saluted, “Thank you, Major! Private Mu Fan promises to complete the mission perfectly.”
Both of them had sincere smiles on their faces, but neither knew that behind those smiles lay another layer of aning.
Sotis, coincidences happen just like that.
When two heavy all-terrain transport vehicles appeared, the Major personally handed the 149th division’s standard equipnt to Mu Fan.
A set of Army Combat Uniform, an OW42 type Pulse Rifle, a tungsten steel dagger, and five units of standard magazines.
Then Mu Fan, with a huge march pack and this pile of supplies, boarded the transport vehicle.
Under Major Gerry’s saluting guidance, the supply transport vehicles rumbled away into the distance, leaving a long trail of dust.
As the two supply vehicles finally beca dots and disappeared from sight, Major Gerry’s lips curled up in a cunning arc.
The Colonel’s mission was perfectly completed, it was ti to return and report.

The rear compartnt of the supply transport vehicle was similar to a prison structure, with a narrow corridor in the middle leading directly to the back of the driver’s cabin, where there was an iron window through which communication could be conducted.
On both sides of the narrow corridor were doors controlled by electronic locks, and the doors and surrounding areas were made of thick steel plates, showing that it was indeed military supplies being transported.
Through the iron window, Mu Fan could clearly see the automatic driving robot in the driver’s cabin.
Its black mottled paint job was currently focused on driving.
“Hello, how long will it take us to reach our destination?” Mu Fan asked the front.
