Chapter 791: Chapter 564: Can’t Be True, Right?

The intense sounds of battle were still ringing in his ears, and for a mont, Sergeant Daniel almost thought he had heard wrong.

“You said to kill him?”

He reached out and even touched Mu Fan’s forehead, “Rookie, are you sure you don’t have a fever? If chanical Experts were so easy to kill, would we still have lost so many people?”

“27th Infantry Regint is down to less than half its original number now, and I can tell you less than one-fifth died from formal artillery fire. Most were taken out by these annoying chanical Experts.”

As Daniel spoke, he was both angered and amused by his own words. It was unrealistic to talk like that in such critical tis. The rookie’s ideas were good, but the reality was harsh.

The cunning chanical Experts were heavily protected, hiding behind those chanical Spiders, certainly retaining all sorts of defensive ans like chanical Moths and Bomb Umbrella Fungi.

“Sergeant, I’m serious,” Mu Fan said earnestly, looking straight at the sergeant through the fluctuating lights of explosions, his expression not joking at all.

Daniel was really annoyed by the incessant background sound of explosions, so he distractedly fired a grenade, and the dense gunfire paused montarily.

That’s when he looked at Mu Fan equally seriously, “Rookie, I can tell you that if those chanical Experts were dead, we could wipe out the entire invasion force this ti. This has never happened in the past three months of night battles, but it’s simply impossible.”

“Then I understand,” Mu Fan murmured to himself as if pondering.

“Good that you understand; now, stay put… wait, what are you doing!” Sergeant Daniel suddenly exclaid in shock.

For Mu Fan had smoothly tucked his Pulse Pistol at his waist and then unexpectedly pulled out a dagger, which glead coldly as he clenched it in his teeth.

When Daniel looked at Mu Fan, the rookie even nodded at him and then lifted the explosion-proof shield he was holding with his right hand.

anwhile, Mu Fan glanced down and tested the unique geological texture of the Fire Hills region with his right foot.

What was he planning to do?

“Sergeant, I’m going now.”

The words squeezed through the gaps of the teeth clenching his dagger, then his body slightly bent.

“What are you doing?… Damn it! Get back here!”

Just as Mu Fan, with the shield, burst out into the fray, Daniel cursed loudly, even forgetting to shoot.

But Mu Fan leaped forward with such speed that by the ti Daniel had yelled half of his sentence, Mu Fan had already jumped seven or eight ters down to a different layer, disappearing from his sight.

This kid isn’t thinking of deserting, is he?

Damn it…

Right, a rookie unfamiliar with the terrain here wouldn’t possibly volunteer to strike actively.

So the only conclusion left was… the guy had fled!

Thinking this, Daniel felt a surge of anger so intense that he wanted to unleash a magazine of bullets the mont he saw Mu Fan, dealing harshly with the deserter.

“Captain, what’s wrong?”

“Boss, what’s happening there?”

Queries from the remaining soldiers mingled with the intense sounds of gunfire and explosions around him.

“No problem! Look after yourselves, adjust your positions to create a barrage, and locate the chanical Experts as quickly as possible.”

Suppressing his anger, Sergeant Daniel made the most sensible decision for the situation, focusing on confronting the enemy.

When he cautiously peeked out again, having lacked firepower suppression for over twenty seconds, the spiders had significantly increased again.

Taking out these spiders was not an issue, but the main concern was the clear intent of the opposite chanical Experts.

They wanted to flatten the entire minefield area.

Then the remaining night raiders could fully annihilate their Night Patrol Team.

Under Daniel’s direction, the Night Patrol Team quickly initiated targeted gunfire suppression.

Once Mu Fan leaped to the layer seven or eight ters away, he supported himself with his left hand on the ground, squeezing out his voice through the teeth holding his dagger.

“Black, are you sure just dodging bullets will suffice?”

“Lord Black never lies about these things! These miniature robots are clearly controlled by short-range electromagnetic waves, which ans their chanical Expert must be nearby as their control would also be affected by high-altitude electromagnetic chaotic flow, necessitating close-range remote control. Moreover, based on the intensity of the combat sounds you just described, it appears that their robots have excellent self-tracking capabilities and terrain adaptability…”

Listening to Black’s analysis, Mu Fan silently nodded. Black’s analysis was sharp, and it seed apparent that the technology of the opposing chanical Spiders was not low.

“The technological level of these chanical Spiders is evidently high, but… tsk tsk, the higher the technology, the less afraid I am. If it were purely chanical control, then I would actually be afraid. The wristwatch force field has a radius of five ters, maintain this threshold, and I will keep you safe.”

“That’s reassuring…”

Mu Fan gently pressed a button by the ear on his tactical helt, causing the respirator to quietly retract.

Listening to the rustling sounds in the distance, Mu Fan’s expression showed neither sadness nor joy; he closed his eyes.

His body slowly stood up, his left hand reached into his chest, and then he grabbed a piece of soft fabric to cover his face, letting the cold touch spread from his skin to his brain.

The hot air around him transford spontaneously into a calm, cold feeling in an instant.

When his palm was removed, an eerie face, pale as jade and cold as iron, erged.

A faint black gloss shimred from the deepest part of Mu Fan’s eyes, then an even colder and more serene aura enveloped his body.

At that mont, Mu Fan gently pressed the button by his ear again, and the respirator covered him once more.

But the Mu Fan at this mont was no longer the Mu Fan that Daniel and the others had just familiarized themselves with.

Now he had beco a humanoid weapon, completely devoid of all emotions and feelings!

His closed eyes opened, revealing a detached, cold, and rciless gaze.

His body temperature, human scent, and breathing sound almost disappeared at that mont.

anwhile, his ears distinguished all the sound sources around him clearly; his brain quickly mapped out the trajectories of the scattered bullets.

Subsequently, a gradually clearer small-scale three-dinsional battlefield map centered on him ford in his mind.

The night, provided him the best cover.

To survive…

He must fight again.

Ghost Energy surged into Mu Fan’s legs in an instant, followed by abnormal muscular movents, his body lightly pressed down, and then he shot out like an arrow released from a bow.

A shadow suddenly appeared in an unknown dark spot under the night sky.

When Mu Fan activated Dark Breath, his first leap covered over six ters!

Intersecting barrages filled the air; at that mont, Mu Fan’s body weirdly folded and twisted.

Extre Nine Forms—Inverse Bone Folding.

His body moved through the bullet rain in a posture that defied normal human anatomy, and then he landed in the next patch of broken rocks.

As he rolled again, Mu Fan’s left palm held a few scattered rocks.

Glancing casually at the position at ten o’clock to his left rear, his faint voice suddenly sounded in the communication channel: “Captain, there’s an infiltrating spider at 2 o’clock direction.”

Then, with a fierce swing of his left hand, two Rock Fire Stones were thrown directly, landing twenty ters away in a staggered rock crevice.

Huh?

This voice that suddenly appeared on the team communication channel made Sergeant Daniel startle, then he realized that the unfamiliar voice was unmistakably Mu Fan!

What does this kid an, 2 o’clock direction?

Boom, boom!

Two rocks shot out, directly hitting the chanical Spider that was quietly advancing along the crevice.

Two beautiful Fire Clouds ignited instantly on the hillside, illuminating Daniel’s stunned profile.

What exactly does this rookie want to do…

Could he really be telling the truth?
