Chapter 793: Chapter 566: Report Complete

The pale mask…

Fleeting in the eyes of the Imperial soldiers, yet deeply etched in their hearts.

Then, chills ran through their bodies.

They swore they had never seen a Federation soldier wearing such a ghostly mask. Could it be a newly supported super soldier?

However, when that figure charged violently with a shield, they had no more ti to think.

Damn it!

Trying to break through their firing line with just a body?

“Shoot!”

“Concentrate fire suppression!”

The remaining Imperial soldiers who survived the explosion quickly aid their guns at the charging figure.

Yet the reality was unexpected for them, as that figure moved so fast, far beyond their imagination!

Such mobility already far surpassed their understanding of the human body, even more exaggerated than soone wearing exoskeleton armor!

Most of the barrage missed, with only a few bullets densely echoing in front of Mu Fan.

However, Mu Fan, who charged fiercely with heavy footsteps, was like a heavy tank on a final sprint, carrying an unmatched deanor.

Mu Fan’s cold gaze swept the surroundings into his mind.

Fifty ters, thirty ters, fifteen ters…

Mu Fan managed to cover nearly forty ters while blocking the pulse rifle bullets with a heavy explosion-proof shield.

Then, in the opponent’s terrified eyes, he leaped forward…

Completely disappearing from their view.

Hmm?

Where is he?

“Watch the rock layers!”

After a soldier’s reminder, everyone realized they were in the stratified Fire Hills, and the enemy must have used terrain to hide in the layers.

Indeed, Mu Fan had swiftly entered the rock layers.

Moreover, upon landing, he discarded the almost-maxed explosion-proof shield.

Mu Fan’s weaponry was now reduced to two items.

A large pulse pistol holstered at his waist.

And a military manganese steel blade roughly forty centiters long, sheathed in the leg strap.

With closed eyes, the spiritual perception, enhanced by the pale mask and Dark Breath, spread out.

Not far above him, vague outlines of soldiers began to form in his mind.

What is a Martial Arts Grandmaster?

It’s not rely physical strength breaking limits but a comprehensive breakthrough from spirit to body.

This place…

Is his battlefield.

His right hand removed the manganese steel blade from the leg, and then both hands gripped horizontally, drawing the all-black, zero-reflective saber.

His gaze indifferent and icy.

Enemy, face-to-face, no death, no rest…

These eight words set the ultimate tone for Mu Fan’s confrontation with the Imperial soldiers.

Mu Fan gently stepped out, his figure slowly disappearing into the shadows under the layer of rocks.

“Mu Fan’s figure has disappeared.”

“The radio of the recruits remained in silence.”

“Captain, there’s already chaos in the Imperial infiltration unit.”

ssages began compiling in the voice channel, and Sergeant Daniel remained silent, from initially mistaking Mu Fan for a deserter to suddenly realizing he was pinpointing chanical Spider locations, to the explosion in the Imperial soldier camp.

Daniel felt he was watching an incredibly dramatic light story, yet when the intense vibrations constantly rose from his feet, even stirring warm rock fragnts across his cheeks, he was jolted awake.

All of this was indeed real!

Thinking of this, a fierce aura appeared on Daniel’s face, gritting his teeth, he said:

“Everyone take responsibility for one direction, prepare for counterattack and annihilation.”

However, at that mont, Bench, substituting Butter on observatory duty, suddenly exclaid in the channel, “Imperial soldiers beginning to experience unexpected losses!”

Unexpected… losses?

“What’s going on!”

“Captain, I don’t know. I just saw the two soldiers I was observing suddenly fall down without any warning—no gunshots or flashes. Did anyone fire from the B5 direction?”

The remaining four all said they didn’t.

Bench widened his eyes as he watched through the optical night vision device, seeing the two Empire soldiers who had been suppressing him with fire suddenly slump and stop moving.

It’s clear they were dead.

A shadow silently erged from behind the corpses, then disappeared back into the night.

Mu Fan had initiated radio silence, so he wasn’t aware of his teammates’ discussions about him on the channel.

He was focused on what he needed to do, such as…

Slowly drawing out the manganese steel blade that had cut almost halfway through the spine, then gently wiping the blade clean on the corpse.

Then, with a cold gaze, he silently eyed the next target—a frantic Empire soldier clad in a white combat uniform, firing madly.

Walking in the shadows, in the na of the Holy Hall.

An Empire soldier, shooting wildly in terror, had just blown up the opposite observer’s cover with his rifle, slightly soothing his fear.

He wouldn’t die. Although he didn’t know why the chanical Spider suddenly rebelled, he had luckily escaped.

Now, there were still more than a dozen Empire infiltration soldiers, and he was sure he could get out of here.

However, just as he thought this, he suddenly felt a slight weight on his right shoulder.

Hmm?

Instinctively looking over, he caught a glimpse of a shadow gliding across his shoulder in his peripheral vision.

His body instinctively tried to dodge, but a hand from behind his left shoulder tightly pressed him down, rendering him voiceless.

Soon, the cold blade easily pierced through the neck of the combat uniform, lightly sliding across the throat, leaving a line of blood.

The left hand released its grip slightly, and the figure silently withdrew. The Empire soldier could only make a faint “huh huh” as blood surged, filling his helt.

He never saw who killed him until the end.

Mu Fan rcilessly dispatched Empire soldiers with his saber, and the night patrol team that just launched a counterattack found, after killing four soldiers, a strange silence spreading across the Fire Hills area.

No more gunshots…

Only the distant crackling of the burning sea of flas remained.

What on earth is going on?

Whether it was ordinary privates like Bench and the tiger cat, or Daniel leading the team, they all felt a chill rising from their backs.

Calmly watching the chanical expert cautiously hidden in the crevice below, Mu Fan’s eyes showed no emotion.

This was the last one, and the saber in his hand was completely stained with blood.

The chanical expert hidden in the crevice, trying to sneak a peek outside, felt no approaching danger. He had just fled the release point of the chanical Spider and barely escaped danger.

Now, he was observing the situation outside.

It was a corner ford by two massive rocks, giving him an inexplicable sense of security inside.

Mu Fan stood, quietly watching below, then slowly squatted down.

“Mu Fan, he has a radio source on him. It looks like he’s related to those controlling the chanical Spiders,” Black “kindly” reminded, suggesting that there should be no loose ends.

After all, Mu Fan didn’t want to expose the thod that could make the chanical Spiders lose control, and Lord Black preferred a sneaky approach.

The chanical expert, peering intently outside, suddenly noticed a red drop appear on his helt visor, slowly sliding down, leaving a long red trail.

Blood…?

But how could blood fall from the sky?

Perplexed, the chanical expert looked up.

And what t his eyes was Mu Fan silently standing overhead, looking down at him, wearing a ghostly white mask with emotionless eyes.

And the dripping blood… ca from a saber.

The saber pointed straight down, quietly suspended overhead, with blood not yet dried, covering the blade’s original color.

“No…”

He could only utter this one phrase.

The chanical expert didn’t even have ti to wonder why soone dressed in Federation military attire was above him.

With a detached expression, Mu Fan leapt down, and the sharp saber plunged straight into the chanical expert’s view.

Piercing through the helt’s visor, it penetrated directly from the forehead into the brain, finally embedding in the throat.

Leaving only the saber hilt visible outside the helt.

The chanical expert died with open eyes, body unable to fall due to the crevice, stiffening and cooling, staring into the dark sky.

Mu Fan flipped open the radio with his left hand, and through the static, his indifferent voice reached his teammates’ ears:

“Private Mu Fan, reporting. Total of 24 survivors eliminated. Within a three hundred-ter radius of the blast point, the enemy… has been completely cleared.”

“…Report complete.”
