"What?!"

"Two types..."

The two elders imdiately exclaid in surprise and stood up together.

"Jun Cheng, are you certain? What Martial Souls?!" The elder who had been facing the two urgently spoke out.

"Both of those Martial Souls are Long Shadows, one is a Golden Divine Dragon, and the other is a bloody Long Shadow!"

Li Juncheng briefly explained.

"Dragon Descendant?! You’ve encountered a Dragon Descendant?!"

The two elders looked at each other and cried out in shock.

Li Juncheng nodded, "Yes, and both Ancient Martial Arts were practiced by that Dragon Descendant!"

"What? He practiced two types of Ancient Martial Arts?!" Both elders exclaid in unison once again.

Suddenly, one elder frowned and said in a deep voice, "Do you an... to strip away?!"

"Yes, great-grandfather, although the Dragon Descendant helped us in the past, think about it, didn’t our dynasty fall because of the Dragon Descendant’s guidance?"

Li Juncheng urgently interjected, "He even had the audacity to talk about ’following the will of the heavens,’ which is just nonsense. If it wasn’t for them, our Huangluo Clan would still be the Supre Majesty..."

Upon hearing this, the two elders looked at each other and cold light flashed in their eyes.

...

Following Pu Liang, Jiang Chen and his companions traveled through nurous Great Daos.

Everywhere they went, the massive palaces of the Huangluo Clan inspired awe in Jiang Chen.

But when Pu Liang led them past a nearly ten-ter-high palace, a look of surprise appeared on Jiang Chen’s face.

What appeared before them was a small palace less than five ters tall, with just one main hall and lacking even side chambers or bedrooms.

The palace was styled in an antique imperial fashion, and it was evident from its age. The outer walls of the palace were cracked, and hanging above the main door was a plaque with the words ’Nurturing Residence Hall’.

Compared with the previous palaces, this was akin to comparing a villa to a thatched cottage, fostering confusion in Jiang Chen’s mind.

"Ancestor, they have arrived!" Pu Liang stood respectfully at the entrance of the palace and bowed towards the building.

"Co in!" An aged voice ca from inside the palace.

Creeeak!

A grating sound echoed as the palace door automatically opened, the noise of the creaky chanism proving that the door hadn’t been opened in a long ti.

As the door swung open, Jiang Chen keenly noticed the thick dust falling from the door crack!

"Yes!" Pu Liang, after the door was fully opened, respectfully responded and walked into the palace ahead of the rest.

Jiang Chen and the others stepped in to follow.

Inside the palace, there were no furnishings at all, leaving the main hall empty.

An old man with snow-white hair was seated cross-legged on the floor, his long hair carelessly spilling onto the ground, amassing in a thick pile.

The old man’s face was withered like the bark of an aged tree, eyes closed, giving off an air as if he was part of the woodwork.

"Greetings, Ancestor!"

"Greetings, Ancestor!"

Pu Liang, Cha Long, and Leng Ming all bowed in salute.

"Greetings, Lord Li!"

"Greetings, Grandfather!"

Supre Long Huang and Li Tianchong also bowed respectfully.

Jiang Chen paused, looked at Li Tianchong with surprise, and followed suit with a fist-and-palm salute.

"Child, is your progenitor Jiang Wuqing well?" the elder asked softly with his eyes still closed.

"Do you know my ancestor?" Jiang Chen looked at the elder in surprise.

The elder slowly opened his eyes and looked up at Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen’s heart quivered violently as he furrowed his brows. The elder’s left eye was normal, but in his right eye, he saw the figure of a Golden Divine Dragon and a Black Mist Serpent!

"Soul Devour species!?"

"Grandfather, your..."

"Elder, what happened to you?!"

People like Supre Long Huang exclaid in shock.

Jiang Chen glanced at everyone and surprisingly found that even Pu Liang had no idea that the elder’s eyes were like this.

"A hundred years, and I have finally waited for you!" The elder looked at Jiang Chen with contentnt and spoke softly.

"Elder, have you not left the Nurturing Residence Hall, never opened your eyes in this hundred years, just to wait... to wait for him?" Pu Liang spoke in shock.

Leng Ming’s heart throbbed fiercely, and a sense of dread suddenly surged through him.

Looking at the Elder’s reaction, it was clear that Jiang Chen was an extrely important person. If he had indeed made an enemy of Jiang Chen just now, then...

With this thought, Leng Ming’s hatred towards Leng’ao grew even stronger.

Boom!

Suddenly, the north wall of the great hall shifted slightly, revealing a man-sized dark hole, and a figure stepped out from within.

The onlookers’ expressions changed as they all looked up towards the hole.

"Father?!" Leng Ming watched the figure with surprise.

The person erging from the dark hole was none other than the current Family Head of the Huangluo Clan, Huangluo Junlin.

Huangluo Junlin nodded towards Leng Ming and the others, then stepped forward to the elder, bowed deeply to the ground, and said apologetically, "Elder, I’m sorry, we were wrong, we have... we have resented you for a hundred years, I’m sorry!"

"This..."

"What is going on?!"

Supre Long Huang and others looked at Huangluo Junlin perplexedly.

"Now that the Dragon Descendant has reappeared, it’s ti to tell you so things. Junlin, tell them what you’ve seen!" The elder spoke softly.

"Yes!"

Huangluo Junlin responded respectfully and stood up.

He then scanned the crowd, finally setting his gaze on Pu Liang, Cha Long, and Leng Ming.

"We were wrong, very wrong!"

Huangluo Junlin began speaking slowly: "Over these years, we have resented the Elder for not joining our fight to defend our Huangluo Clan’s territories, but in truth, if it were not for the Elder and Jiang Wuqing, our Huangluo Clan would have been annihilated long ago!"

"What?"

"What is going on?!"

"Family Head, what exactly happened?"

Pu Liang and the others cried out in shock.

"A hundred years ago, during the battle that brought down the previous dynasty, our Huangluo Clan was besieged by the Martial Arts Forces. The city was breached, and lives were lost. At that ti, the Dragon Descendant appeared and stopped the forces from eradicating our clan."

Huangluo Junlin’s expression was filled with sorrow as he continued: "But later, we discovered sothing. The many forces that had attacked our Huangluo Clan did so at the summons of the Dragon Descendant, and so, we have always held animosity towards the Dragon Descendant!"

"What? Was it the Dragon Descendant who summoned the forces to attack our clan?!" Cha Long’s expression changed as he turned to look at Jiang Chen and exclaid.

However, Pu Liang and Leng Ming showed little reaction, seemingly already aware of the matter.

"Yes! It was the Dragon Descendant who summoned the Martial Arts Forces to attack our Huangluo Clan, but there was a reason for it!"

Huangluo Junlin nodded slightly, gazing deeply at Jiang Chen, a trace of gratitude showing in his eyes: "Thank you, on behalf of the Huangluo Clan, thank you to your ancestor! Thank you to the lineage of the Dragon Descendant!"

Jiang Chen was sowhat confused, not understanding what had happened.

"Let explain!"

The elder then spoke softly: "Back then..."
