Yue Wujie’s face darkened, and he bellowed out furiously, but before he could finish, he was interrupted by a cold voice.
Jiang Chen looked at the three Family Heads coldly, his voice frosty, "As the Head of the Jiang Family, how can I tolerate such provocations from your juniors? This is a challenge to my Jiang Family. Should I take it as a declaration of war from you to my Jiang Family?"

Imdiately after Jiang Chen’s words fell, Li Tianchong, Dong Tianchen, and Dong Yu swiftly stood out from the crowd, leaping to Jiang Chen’s side.
"Declare war then decla—" Lü Weicheng bellowed furiously.

The Lü Family patriarch, Lü Chengwen, his face changing color, yelled out, interrupting Lü Weicheng in ti.
The attitude of the Yue Family’s people had alerted him that sothing was amiss. After silencing Lü Weicheng, Lü Chengwen glanced at Li Tianchong and Dong Tianchen who had jumped to Jiang Chen’s side, his eyes shifting as he spoke softly, "Head of the Jiang Family, I apologize for the mistake my great-grandson has made to you."
The mbers of the Lü Family were all startled for a mont, looking at Lü Chengwen with surprise.
Lü Weicheng looked at Lü Chengwen with dissatisfaction, "Grandfather, why apologize to him? We..."
"Shut your mouth!"
Lü Chengwen scolded in a low voice, glaring fiercely at Lü Weicheng.
"Mr. Jiang, I apologize, I want to apologize to you on behalf of Cao Yan!"

The Cao Family patriarch and the Lin Family elder both realized that there was sothing wrong and hastened to bow and apologize to Jiang Chen.

Everyone glanced at the three Lü Zheming and started to wonder, was Mr. Jiang speaking only to the Cao Family patriarch because Cao Yan was a girl?

The Cao Family patriarch nodded.
"Please take them back!" Jiang Chen swept a look at the three elders and spoke softly.
The people from the three families all left with unsightly expressions, rapidly taking Lü Zheming and the others away, leaping towards the annex where the subsidiary families were housed near the square.
"Let’s all disperse!"
Yue Taizhong glanced at Jiang Chen, then turned and waved to the crowd.
"Head of the Yue Family, Venerable Yue, Elder Yue, and the other respected elders, please co inside for a further discussion," Jiang Chen said softly, glancing at the receding figures of the three families.
Yue Shaoting went pale, rembering the surge of Jiang Chen’s Inner Qi, and nodded slightly before striding into the annex.
Yue Wujie, the three Yue brothers, the two Yue Zhenting brothers, and mbers from the Yu and Zhuo Families all followed into the annex.
Once in the living room, the elders and family heads took their seats, while everyone else stood to one side.
"Li Elder, cover the annex with your presence and shield the sounds inside!" Jiang Chen turned and gave an order to Li Tianchong.
Li Tianchong’s expression turned solemn, and he gave a slight shake of his body.
Buzz!
An elusive yet powerful presence erged, enveloping the entire annex.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh!
Yan Hu, Spirit You, and Qingyuan Yingzi, one leaped to the window side, another to the door, and Qingyuan Yingzi went straight up the stairs.
The crowd was taken aback for a mont, furrowing their brows and their expressions turning grave. Such a move from Jiang Chen alerted everyone that sothing was not right!
"Mr. Jiang, what’s happening?" Yue Wujie spoke out, furrowing his brows.
Jiang Chen swept his eyes over the crowd, pausing to think.

A domineering presence erged as Jiang Chen exuded a golden light, enveloping everyone within it.
"Mr. Jiang, what is this...?" Yue Taizhong asked in astonishnt.

Suddenly, the aura emanating from Jiang Chen shifted, becoming violent and bloodthirsty, as a blood-red fog radiated from his body, shrouding everyone once again.
Everyone’s eyes revealed dissatisfaction, with their own auras erging, ready to repel the approaching blood-red fog.
"Do not resist!"

Li Tianchong let out a low shout, his aura suddenly surged, imposing an even more massive pressure on the people present.
Everyone’s expressions darkened, staring intently at Jiang Chen with obvious anger in their eyes.

The aura subsided; Jiang Chen retracted his aura and the blood fog, as did Li Tianchong, who now only emitted an aura that blocked sound.
"Ladies and gentlen, my apologies, the situation is severe, and I had no choice but to do this!" Jiang Chen apologized to everyone with a fist and palm salute as he stood up.
"Mr. Jiang, what is the aning of this?" Yue Shaoting asked in a deep voice, his complexion also looking rather unwell.
Jiang Chen glanced at Yue Shaoting and turned to Li Tianchong: "Senior Li, you understand what I’m doing, don’t you?"
"I understand!"
Li Tianchong nodded, glanced over everyone, and spoke softly: "As you all felt just now, Mr. Jiang has cultivated two Cultivation Techniques. One can counter the Soul Devouring Group’s Soul Devouring Black Mist, and the other can counter the Gene Organization’s life energy. Just now, Mr. Jiang was checking to see if any of us belonged to the Soul Devouring Group or the Gene Organization!"

The crowd’s faces changed, and they shouted angrily.

Jiang Chen was stunned, then abruptly looked up at Yue Shaoting: "Elder Yue, you... you could sense my Inner Qi fluctuation just now?"
