The Ge’er Family, despite relying on the Holy Court for martial strength, still possesses so foundations of its own. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been able to sustain such a large family, and the Holy Court wouldn’t station mbers in the Ge’er Family indefinitely.
What is called "reliance" is essentially finding a protector to signal to others that if they want to target the Ge’er Family by force, they must first consider whether the Holy Court approves!
"Let’s go to the racetrack. The family just got a batch of fine horses. Father asked to pick one to raise and play with, but I haven’t chosen yet," suggested Ge’er Yan.
"Alright." Jiang Chen nodded indifferently. He was actually more interested in exploring the dense forest behind the area, but he understood that since it was labeled as a forbidden zone, it wasn’t a place he could casually enter.
"Let’s take this. Walking there would take too long!" Ge’er Yan pointed at a golf cart parked by the roadside.
Jiang Chen and the others boarded the cart. Ge’er Yan personally took the wheel and headed toward the back of the villa area.
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at a sprawling grassland, with an asphalt road specially paved in the middle of it.
"This doubles as a golf course. When we’re done later, we can co back and play a few swings," Ge’er Yan said with a light laugh.
Yan Hu glanced at Ge’er Yan and spoke teasingly, "Scar, you remind of a joke."
"Soone invites a friend for dinner. The friend says he’s just about to get in the car and leave ho. Twenty minutes later, the host calls again, and the friend still says he’s about to leave.
Another twenty minutes later, the host gets impatient and asks where the friend is. The friend replies, ’Almost at the door.’ Is it the restaurant door? Nope, it’s his ho’s front door!
The host gets angry and accuses the friend of lying. But the friend feels wronged and says, ’I didn’t lie. My garage is 100 kiloters away from my house’s front door. Getting there in 40 minutes is actually pretty impressive. By outside standards, it’s practically speeding!’"
"Haha!"
"Haha..."
Yan Hu’s words elicited hearty laughter from Jiang Chen and the others.
Jiang Chen glanced at Yan Hu, understanding that Yan Hu had picked up on Ge’er Yan’s unease stemming from the earlier conversation in the Lin Ken car and was deliberately trying to lighten his mood.
"Ge’er Yan!"
Suddenly, a shout reached them. Ge’er Yan and the others turned to see several figures approaching from the golf course.

Ge’er Yan stopped the cart, furrowing his brows, and muttered under his breath, "Pu Losi... seems like he’s here to settle the airport account!"
Jiang Chen smiled faintly, "When soldiers co, we counter with generals; when water floods, we build dams. Let’s get off the cart and let the horses wait at the racetrack for now."

The group opened the doors and stepped off the cart, walking toward the approaching figures.
Six people were coming toward them: Pu Losi, Sha Wa, Ya Sha, a burly man, Ge’er Kusi, and an elderly man dressed as a butler.
"Father, Mr. Pu Losi, Mrs. Sha Wa, Miss Ya Sha, Butler Fei Lipu!" Ge’er Yan greeted politely.
Jiang Chen smiled lightly and nodded in acknowledgnt.
"Head of the Jiang Family, care to join for a ga of golf?!" Pu Losi glanced at Ge’er Yan before turning his attention to Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen hesitated slightly. Golf? What’s going on?
Both Ge’er Yan and Ge’er Kusi stiffened for a mont.
Sha Wa’s eyes sparkled as if she suddenly understood why Pu Losi had taken a taxi to visit the Ge’er Family. She turned and sized up Jiang Chen with fresh interest.
Jiang Chen paused montarily before replying softly, "Apologies, Mr. Pu Losi, but I don’t know how to play golf."
"Don’t know?!"
Pu Losi froze, staring at Jiang Chen with so surprise.
Ge’er Kusi’s thoughts churned, and he remarked aningfully, "Head of the Jiang Family, so things are indeed ill-advised to attempt when you’re still unfamiliar. Better to wait until you understand them before deciding whether to proceed. That would be the most appropriate timing!"
Pu Losi was montarily taken aback and glanced at Ge’er Kusi with confusion. "Ge’er Family... for a simple golf ga, there’s no need to be so cautious!"
"Certain matters demand caution. Once a choice is made, it may be too late for regret," Ge’er Kusi replied with a faint smile, seemingly addressing Pu Losi but keeping his eyes fixed firmly on Jiang Chen.
Yan Hu, Spirit You, and Ge’er Yan’s expressions collectively shifted as if they realized sothing, turning to look at Jiang Chen in unison.
Jiang Chen glanced at Ge’er Kusi, his eyes slightly narrowing as his mind raced. Suddenly, he turned to Pu Losi: "Since Mr. Pu Losi has extended the invitation, I shall accompany him for one round. However, I don’t understand the complex rules, so let’s keep it simple!"
Pu Losi, still irked by Ge’er Kusi’s dismissive behavior—or perhaps the fact that Ge’er Kusi hadn’t been addressing him—looked at Jiang Chen with a trace of surprise.
Jiang Chen smiled lightly, "When faced with the unknown, most people choose to avoid it. When avoidance is no longer possible, many opt to first seek understanding. But in my opinion, there’s yet another option!"
Pu Losi raised his eyebrows, briefly turning to glance at Ge’er Kusi.
In that mont, he realized that while he couldn’t grasp the full exchange between Ge’er Kusi and Jiang Chen, it was clear the central figures of this golf ga were no longer him.
After shifting his gaze between Ge’er Kusi and Jiang Chen, Pu Losi smiled slightly, "Alright!"
He no longer felt annoyed but instead grew intrigued by the cryptic interactions between Ge’er Kusi and Jiang Chen.
The Ge’er Family was among the elite households—one of the strongest families next to the Five Dominant Powers and major nations. Matters that could command such attention from the family head were bound to be significant.
This realization completely piqued Pu Losi’s curiosity!
The group made their way to the golf course’s starting point.
"Head of the Jiang Family, since you’re unfamiliar with the intricate rules, how about we simply asure success by scoring a hole-in-one? From here, the starting point, to that hole there—the first person to get their ball into the hole wins. How about that?"
Pu Losi gestured toward a hole fifty ters away and spoke with a light-hearted smile.
Jiang Chen nodded slightly, "Alright!"
Following their exchange, the burly young man standing behind Pu Losi retrieved two golf balls and two clubs from nearby equipnt, placing the ball before each player’s feet and handing them their corresponding clubs.
Taking the club in hand, Jiang Chen glanced at Ge’er Kusi before turning to Pu Losi. "Mr. Pu Losi, may I take the first swing?"
"Sure!"
Pu Losi seed montarily taken aback but quickly smiled indifferently and motioned for Jiang Chen to proceed.
"Thank you!" Jiang Chen replied with a faint smile, lowering his gaze to study the golf ball before lifting his eyes to assess the fifty-ter target hole, his eyes narrowing slightly in concentration.
Bzz!
A faint aura began to erge. Pu Losi, startled, quietly reminded, "Head of the Jiang Family, golf isn’t ant for utilizing Inner Qi. If you..."
Whoosh!
Before Pu Losi could finish, a gust of wind swept past, and Jiang Chen had already swung his club!
