"What exactly happened?"
Ye Jianzhong, the Family Head, turned pale and slamd his hand on the table as he stood up, glaring at Ye Jianchang and barked out the question.
"Family Head, I’m afraid Yichen Company has so issues with our Ye Family!"
At this mont, Ye Jianchang’s eyes shifted, his face beca solemn as he looked at Ye Jianzhong and earnestly said, "At first everything was fine, the security let us register, but as soon as we wrote down ’Ye Family’ on the registration, they began to drive us away. We emphasized that we are from the Ye Family, and they said that’s exactly who they wanted to drive away. This is definitely targeting our Ye Family!"

At that mont, Ye Jianfeng quickly stood up and spoke on behalf of Ye Jianchang and his son, "Family Head, it looks like it’s not the fault of cousin Jianchang and them, it’s Yichen Company itself that is unfriendly towards our Ye Family!"

Ye Jianchang nodded, but didn’t say anything.
"This is a problem. With Yichen Company being so unfriendly towards our Ye Family, I’m afraid we won’t be able to secure the investnt," Ye Jianfei said gravely, frowning as he spoke.
"No!" Family Head Ye Jianzhong shook his head, "This is an opportunity for our Ye Family, we must seize it, but... who should we send to negotiate this investnt?"
The people of Ye Family all frowned, no one willing to co forward now.
What had seed like a straightforward task had turned sour—they hadn’t even been able to get through the door and were driven away. It looked like they weren’t carrying back a rit, but a hot potato instead!
Just as everyone was worried, the door to the conference room was knocked.
"Co in," Ye Jianzhong said with a frown towards the door.
The door to the conference room opened, and the Sun Family’s butler, Sun Fangping, entered: "Family Head, Ye Yuwan from Jinhai’s Ye Family has arrived."
"Ye Yuwan? What is she doing here?" Ye Jianzhong, the Family Head, was taken aback.
Ye Jianchang and his son exchanged glances, their eyes filled with hatred, and their expressions darkened.
Sun Fangping said softly, "She claims she is here to report on the situation in Jinhai on behalf of the Jinhai Ye Family."
"Report? Why would a young girl co to give a report? Even if Ye Jianchang is no longer the Family Head, it should not fall to a young girl to make the report!"
Family Head Ye Jianzhong was puzzled for a mont, then turned to look at Ye Jianchang: "What’s going on here? Has your family head changed to Ye Yuwan? Isn’t it your father?"
"No, the Family Head is actually replaced by Ye Jingyi."
Ye Jianchang’s eyes shifted, and he said darkly, "And this adopted daughter of mine is an ungrateful wretch. In order to take control of the family assets, she seduced Ye Jingyi’s son-in-law who ca into the family, colluded with the Sun Family to spread lies to Grandpa Ye, and drove us out of the family. Then, using her relationship with the son-in-law and the Sun Family, she beca the de facto power holder of the Jinhai Ye Family."
"What? How could they let a little girl beco the power holder?"
"Exactly, and she’s an adopted daughter at that, it’s absolutely unacceptable!"
"Such an ungrateful wretch must be suppressed, we cannot allow her to control the Jinhai Ye Family!"
"Right, and Ye Jingyi cannot be allowed to be the Family Head either, we have to take her down! The Jinhai Ye Family is being too reckless!"
Upon hearing Ye Jianchang’s words, the elders of the Ye family imdiately burst out condemning.
"Let her wait for now."
The Family Head Ye Jianzhong turned his head and instructed Sun Fangping in a low voice, then took out his mobile phone and dialed Grandpa Ye’s number in Jinhai.
"Hello, Jian Zhong, what made you think of calling ?" Elder Ye’s surprised voice ca through the receiver.
Ye Jianzhong asked directly and displeased, "Uncle, what’s going on with the Jinhai Ye Family? How can you let a woman be the Family Head, and let Yè Yùwǎn, a little girl, be the power holder? Moreover, she is not of the Ye family’s bloodline, she is an adopted daughter, what are you all doing?"
"Jian Zhong, the matter concerning Jing Yi and Yu Wan was unanimously agreed upon at the family council. Jing Yi is very capable and well-connected. Because of her, so families in Jinhai are now willing to collaborate with our family. The Jinhai Ye Family has been able to develop thanks to her!
But as Jing Yi is currently in a coma, we appointed Yu Wan, who is the most recognized by other families, to be the power holder and the contact person, and no one objected."
"So what?" Ye Jianzhong’s face grew darker, "Even so, that’s not acceptable. The Family Head can’t be a woman! And a girl without Ye family bloodline even less so to be the power holder. You better replace her soon!"
"Impossible! Jian Zhong, Jing Yi and Yu Wan really are the best choices. Moreover, I’ve already said that so families in Jinhai are cooperating with us because of them. If we change them, those families may no longer work with us!"
Ye Jianzhong’s voice turned colder, he said sternly, "Uncle, do you still consider the main family’s Family Head at all? You must replace her!"
"Jian Zhong, I don’t agree to change the Family Head, and the family mbers in Jinhai will not agree either!" Grandpa Ye spoke firmly.
Ye Jianzhong started to feel a bit troubled. Although he was the Family Head of the main family, Jinhai had always been managed independently, and according to what Elder Ye said, the clan mbers in Jinhai fully supported Yu Wan as the Family Head. If he forcefully replaced Yu Wan, it was likely that it would cause chaos in Jinhai.
After so consideration, Ye Jianzhong decided not to argue with Grandpa Ye anymore and hung up the phone.
"Since you all don’t agree to change the person, then it’s up to to discipline this little girl properly myself!"
A shadow passed through Ye Jianzhong’s eyes as he looked towards a younger mber of the Ye family: "Bring Yè Yùwǎn to !"
"Yes."
The young mber of the Ye family responded and stood to leave the eting room.
Soon, Yè Yùwǎn followed the young mber of the Ye family into the eting room. As she entered, she saw everyone looking at her, making her sowhat uneasy.
Then she lifted her head to look at Ye Jianzhong, sitting in the central seat, with yet another grim face.
Suddenly, Yè Yùwǎn’s heart skipped a beat, and she beca nervous.
