Demonic Beast Forest.
This is a vast and dense jungle, stretching beyond the eye’s reach.
From ti to ti, the roar of beasts echoes from the forest, and powerful auras appear and disappear within it; so of these auras even rival those of Unity Realm Stage experts.
The forest is nad the Demonic Beast Forest because it is a gathering place for magical beasts on the Canglan Continent.
After the ancient world-ending war, humans and magical beasts coexisted across the five continents of the Void Nether.
However, humans could never truly coexist peacefully with magical beasts, so they ford their own gathering places: humans have cities, and magical beasts have their own territories.
There are hundreds of such gathering places for magical beasts in the Void Nether. So powerful beast clans have even opened their own spaces, much like the top human families or sects.
Opening a space requires reaching the Supre Realm, unless the cultivator comprehends the Spatial Path, allowing them to create spaces even in the Saint Realm.
Therefore, most magical beasts continue to live under the sa sky with most humans.
At this mont, in the very center of the Demonic Beast Forest, five figures of different ages, three n and two won, sit around several wooden huts. No magical beasts dare to approach within a ten-mile radius. Even the beasts at the Integration Realm Peak glance fearfully in this direction.
The one sitting in the main seat among the five is an elder with white hair and beard. His face carries a kindly smile, like a friendly grandpa from next door.
On the elder’s left is a beautiful woman in a long white dress. Her long hair drapes casually down her back, and her expression is calm and elegant, resembling Su Qingluan sowhat. She is currently talking softly with the woman beside her.
To the left of her sits a fiery, provocatively dressed woman. Her close-fitting attire perfectly showcases her curvaceous figure, her slender waist wrapped in the air. Her colorful leather skirt only covers the essentials, revealing long, fair legs. Her exquisite face occasionally shows flirtatious hints, full of allure.
On the elder’s right is a burly middle-aged man, his expression cold and aloof. He sits without speaking, expressionless, his explosive muscles marking him as soone violent.
Sitting next to the fiery woman, alongside the middle-aged man, is a young man with golden hair and eyebrows. Though handso, he has a sinister air, with occasional flashes of bloodthirst. Yet when his gaze sweeps over the fiery woman, a hidden look of affection erges.
"Su Ruoyun, taking an exam here again, you’re really not holding back, are you!"
The sinister young man sneaks a glance at the fiery woman, then turns to the beautiful woman in the long dress.
"What? You have a problem?"
Before Su Ruoyun can reply, the fiery woman turns to the sinister young man, a dangerous grin on her lips, speaking lightly.
The deep joy in the sinister youth’s eyes is evident as he quietly replies, "No, dusa, I have no problem at all. I just find it a bit unfair. Why is it always the people from Changling Main Court taking the exams here? Why don’t the other five academies co as well?"
This fiery woman is none other than Queen dusa, the leader of the Snake Woman Clan, a group that once attacked Yuan Star but later withdrew from one of the Twelve Alliance Forces!
"Nonsense."
Upon hearing this, dusa rolls her eyes at the sinister young man, "Jin Peng, can you use your brain? We’re closest to Changling Main Court. The other five academies are near other beast gathering points. Why would they co here for exams?"
"Oh, I see."
The sinister young man looks as if he’s been taught sothing new.
Pfft!
Su Ruoyun giggles, lightly pulling on dusa, "dusa, don’t mind him, he’s just trying to tease you because he has nothing else to say!"
dusa is montarily stunned, then quickly gathers her thoughts and glares at Jin Peng, turning her head away, ignoring him.
Jin Peng shows a faint smile, his eyes sparkling with a unique light.
dusa arrived at their gathering place two years ago, bringing a younger mber of her clan.
At the ti, Jin Peng thought she was a leader from another gathering place here to claim territory. He noticed dusa had just broken through to the Saint Realm and, angered, rushed in and launched an attack.
But he ended up being taught a lesson by dusa’s unique bloodline talent of the Snake Woman Clan. It wasn’t until the kind elder intervened that the fight stopped.
After learning of dusa’s clan’s downfall and how she was left wandering, the kind elder took dusa in. Since then, the vast Demonic Beast Forest gained another leader.
Through interaction, Jin Peng discovered that while dusa was powerful and cold-proud, she was surprisingly pure-hearted. Unconsciously, Jin Peng found himself growing fond of this pure, aloof, yet sensual queen of the Snake Woman Clan.
And Su Ruoyun, who often ca here for training and sparring, noticed the strong female leader with her pure heart, and wanted to make friends. The two gradually beca close sisters who shared everything.
"They’re here!"
Suddenly, the always expressionless middle-aged man raises his head, glancing in the direction of the forest’s outer edge, his gaze seemingly piercing through the vast jungle to see the scene outside.
"Su Ruoyun, did Changling Academy discover any promising talents this ti? Let us see the excitent as well."
Jin Peng spoke lightly, his gaze at Su Ruoyun filled with teasing.
"What? You still want to ss with the talented Changling Main Court students like two hundred years ago? Aren’t you afraid they’ll kill the magical beasts with bloodline inheritance here like last ti?"
Su Ruoyun gave Jin Peng a faint glance, her tone slightly sarcastic.
A cold light flashed in Jin Peng’s eyes, and he replied coldly, "Back then, that kid was just lucky."
"That little fellow from then has co too."
The elder suddenly spoke, eyes showing a trace of surprise, "The little guy’s strength is only at the Late Integration Realm? With his talent, even if he hasn’t reached the threshold of Sainthood, he should at least be at the Integration Realm Peak, right?"
"Hmph! Elder Shi, so what if he’s talented? There are too many temptations in the human world. Maybe the kid was distracted by sothing and delayed his cultivation!"
Jin Peng snorted, casting a sidelong glance at Su Ruoyun. He was quite annoyed with this person who would monopolize dusa’s attention. When she’s around, dusa ignores him completely.
"Elder Jiu wasn’t delayed in cultivation by worldly temptations. A century ago, his Primordial Spirit was injured, and his strength has been stagnating since. Now, it seems he’s recovered."
Su Ruoyun ignored Jin Peng’s taunts, looking apologetically towards the outside of the forest.
The matter back then was the academy’s fault for letting him down!
