"Whimper... screech—"
As Bao Qiang arrived at Qingyun Clinic, he hadn’t even parked the car when Lin Zhiyan, not waiting for the car to stop completely, dashed out of the vehicle and rushed into the clinic.
Inside the clinic, Jiang Chen was performing acupuncture on a patient.
"Jiang Chen, hurry, co with , quick! Go save my grandpa!" When Lin Zhiyan saw Jiang Chen, her eyes lit up, and she reached out to pull on Jiang Chen’s arm.
Jiang Chen didn’t even glance at Lin Zhiyan. He dodged her hand and, with a backhand, slapped her across the face.
"Slap—"
A clear slapping sound rang out. Lin Zhiyan stood there stunned, covering her face and looking foolishly at Jiang Chen.
Bao Qiang had just entered and shrank his neck. Mr. Jiang was bold enough to strike even the young lady of his family? Wasn’t that a bit too daring?
Su Qingqing and Wu Zhiyong were taken aback for a mont, giving Jiang Chen a surprised look. The two were unclear about what had happened and did not interject.
"Who do you think you are? You expect to go just because you say so, to move whenever you command? Do you think that’s going to happen? What am I to you that you think you can boss around?" Jiang Chen sneered at Lin Zhiyan then lowered his head to continue with the acupuncture.
Anger flashed in Lin Zhiyan’s eyes, which was quickly replaced by a sense of grievance and regret. Her eyes slowly filled with a mist of tears, and she said in a pitiful voice, "Jiang Chen, please go save my grandpa. He’s dying; if you don’t go now, he’ll..."
"What’s your grandpa’s impending death got to do with ? You don’t pay for the consultation, and when I initially wanted to prescribe dicine, you were the one who said anyone could do it, right? And now you co begging to ? Do you really think I don’t have a temper?"
"Let tell you, sit tight and keep your mouth shut, wait until I’m done treating my patient, otherwise, I definitely won’t go save your grandpa," Jiang Chen said emotionlessly while continuing with the acupuncture.
Lin Zhiyan felt so aggrieved she could hardly stand it, but now, other than Jiang Chen, no one else could save her grandpa. She could only wait quietly on the side, her eyes brimming with tears.
The patient who was receiving the acupuncture glanced up at Lin Zhiyan, smirking slightly. At first, the patient was shocked when Jiang Chen slapped Lin Zhiyan, but after listening to their conversation, they understood the situation and began to mock her:
"Who doesn’t know that Divine Doctor Jiang from Qingyun Clinic has excellent dical skills, modest consultation fees, and prescribes the least expensive dications possible according to the patient’s condition? How could you rich people not pay Divine Doctor Jiang and then claim that just anyone could write a prescription? Do you think everyone can compare to Divine Doctor Jiang?"
Lin Zhiyan turned to look at the patient, her gaze filled with surprise as she turned towards Jiang Chen. She had not expected Jiang Chen to have such a good reputation among his patients.
Su Qingqing, on the other hand, listened with a tight-lipped smile, her head held high, feeling incredibly proud as if the patient was praising her.
Once Jiang Chen finished the acupuncture and prescribed dicine for the patient, who then left gratefully, Jiang Chen sat down in a Taishi Chair to rest. Wu Zhiyong was tidying up the sick bed while Su Qingqing sat next to Jiang Chen, happily watching Lin Zhiyan becoming increasingly anxious. Su Qingqing vividly rembered the morning’s events; Lin Zhiyan was so overbearing; she deserved to suffer a setback!
After hesitating for a short while, Lin Zhiyan stepped forward, her face full of misery as she said, "Jiang Chen, please, go save my grandpa. He’s really dying. I beg you!"
"I can save him, but I have three conditions. First, you apologize to here. Second, the consultation fee is thirty million. Third, you must work as a volunteer nurse in our clinic for a year, specifically cleaning and washing clothes, sheets, etc. If you agree, I’ll go!" said Jiang Chen indifferently.
"This..."
Lin Zhiyan clenched her teeth. The first two conditions were negotiable, but the last one was sowhat hard to accept.
She, the young lady of the Lin Family, working for free in this small clinic? And specifically to clean and wash clothes and sheets? If others found out, wouldn’t she be the laughingstock?
But could she refuse? No!
"Fine!" Lin Zhiyan bit her lip and agreed with a sense of grievance.
"I’m sorry!"
Once she agreed, Lin Zhiyan did not drag her feet. She bowed to Jiang Chen and apologized, then looked at him expectantly.
"Qing Qing, get so paper, and let her write an acknowledgnt of debt, so she doesn’t back out again,"
Jiang Chen ordered. Su Qingqing, suppressing a smile, ca over with paper and pen and started to write the debt acknowledgnt for Lin Zhiyan.
Lin Zhiyan, with tears in her eyes, wrote down the agreent as if she were signing away her life, barely holding back her sobs.
Jiang Chen glanced at it, nodded, took leave with a few words to Su Qingqing and another person, and then turned and walked out of the clinic.
This ti, Lin Zhiyan personally drove Jiang Chen to the First Hospital.
"Thud—"
As soon as he stepped into the ward, before Jiang Chen could get a clear look at the situation inside, a figure knelt down before him.
Taken aback, Jiang Chen looked at Liu Ping with surprise.
In the ti Lin Zhiyan was out looking for Jiang Chen, Liu Ping was terrified, not daring to leave the ward as Lin Bingrui’s blade-sharp gaze occasionally swept over him, each ti feeling like a knife scraping across his skin. He knew that Lin Bingrui probably loathed him by now, and if anything happened to the elder Lin, he would be finished!
And if Jiang Chen truly managed to revive the elder Lin, his own false claim of credit would surely be exposed; if Jiang Chen held a grudge against him as a result, Lin Bingrui could snuff out his life in an instant.
So, the mont he saw Jiang Chen, Liu Ping threw himself forward, kneeling and crying out, "Mr. Jiang, I was wrong, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have taken credit, shouldn’t have claid that I revived the elder Lin. Please spare , please save the elder Lin! If you can’t save him, I’m done for as well!"
"I can’t be bothered to stoop to the level of soone like you, it’s a waste of ti!" Jiang Chen instantly understood and coldly tossed these words at Liu Ping, then turned and walked to the side of the sickbed.
Liu Ping was montarily stunned, then looked tentatively at Jiang Chen and hesitantly followed him.
"Hello, you must be Mr. Jiang? I’m Lin Bingrui. Please, save my father!" Lin Bingrui was surprised upon seeing Jiang Chen, having not expected him to be so young. However, he didn’t let Jiang Chen’s youth influence his respect and spoke with hope in his voice.
"Hello, Mr. Lin, I’m Jiang Chen, and I’ll do my best," Jiang Chen responded, and turned to check Lin Xiangcheng’s pulse.
Frowning slightly, Jiang Chen scanned the crowd and fixed his gaze on Liu Ping: "Daring to use dicine without knowing the source of the poison, you’re really sothing!"
Lin Bingrui and Lin Zhiyan imdiately glared hard at Liu Ping, then looked at Jiang Chen in surprise as they realized he knew that the elder Lin had already taken dication just by feeling his pulse.
Liu Ping trembled and hung his head, unable to respond to that remark.
Taking out his silver needles, Jiang Chen prepared to continue acupuncture on Lin Xiangcheng.
Lin Bingrui, Lin Zhiyan, Liu Ping, and the others watched nervously. Jiang Chen’s treatnt was a matter of life and death for them all.
While everyone was lost in their thoughts, Jiang Chen made his move.
His needles flew, systematically striking at major acupoints on the elder Lin’s body.
Brainshu, Chengling, Taiyang...
His movents were fast, his needling precise, as if divinely assisted. Lin Bingrui, who had seen much in his life, couldn’t help but be startled by this display and felt an increased reverence for Jiang Chen’s dical expertise. Even Liu Ping, who was watching intently, realized Jiang Chen’s remarkable skill.
"Ah—"
Before long, a muffled groan ca from the elder Lin’s throat, followed by his eyes slowly opening as he regained consciousness.
"Damn, he’s truly divine!"
The surrounding dical staff couldn’t help but exclaim in amazent, whispering to each other in quiet discussion.
This was the second ti they had seen Jiang Chen rouse the elder Lin from a deep coma, on the brink of death, with just a few needles. They had tried countless thods, even electric shocks, but nothing could wake him.
This was beyond masterful dicine—it was a miracle!
Looking at Jiang Chen again, the dical staff’s eyes were filled with nothing but awe and admiration. In all of Dingjing, there probably wasn’t a doctor who could compare to this young man!
