Having called out to Chen Jianlin, Gong Yue pointed at Jiang Chen and said, "Look at the way he’s dressed. Does he look like soone who could have received an invitation?"
Chen Jianlin was stunned for a mont, then his eyes lit up. He looked approvingly at Gong Yue and turned to find the organizers of the auction.
"Good evening, sir! Could you please show your invitation?"
A while later, Chen Jianlin returned with the staff from the organizers, who frowned upon seeing Jiang Chen. Dressed so plainly, he definitely didn’t look like an invited guest.
Jiang Chen glanced at Chen Jianlin, understanding that he was looking for trouble, and turned to the staff mber and said indifferently, "I don’t have an invitation; I was invited by soone."
"Haha, soone invited you? Who would invite soone like you? I bet you snuck in, right?" Chen Jianlin mocked outright.
"Exactly, he must have sneaked in!" While Chen Jianlin brought the staff mber to confront Jiang Chen, the surrounding crowd turned their attention back to them. Upon hearing Chen Jianlin’s words, Li Hao in the crowd imdiately shouted out loud.
"That guy couldn’t have really sneaked in, could he?"
"It’s possible, look at his clothes. He doesn’t look like soone who would be invited!"
"But Miss Lin was just standing next to him a mont ago!"
"Heh, soone who sneaks into parties like he did, what else could he be after? Isn’t it just to rely on his decent looks to hook up with rich young ladies? If you want to hook up with rich young ladies, you’ve got to have so charm, right?"

The surrounding people, upon hearing the words of Chen Jianlin and Li Hao, started whispering among themselves, looking at Jiang Chen with disdain.
And Gong Yue, who was amongst the crowd enjoying the drama, burst into laughter upon hearing their discussions!

Jiang Chen ignored Chen Jianlin and calmly said to the staff mber, "I really was invited here. If you don’t believe , you can..."
"Stop lying! How could soone like you be invited? Get out of here right now!" Chen Jianlin interrupted Jiang Chen before he could finish, shouting angrily.
The staff mber also looked coldly at Jiang Chen, his eyes full of scorn. He didn’t believe Jiang Chen’s claims of being invited.
Jiang Chen’s eyes flashed with a cold light as he turned to look at Chen Jianlin.
Chen Jianlin raised his head, his face full of contempt as he said, "What are you looking at? Who would invite a poor sod like you? Get lost. Don’t think that just because you exchanged a few words with Miss Lin earlier you belong here. You don’t even deserve to pass through these doors!"
"Shut up!"
Suddenly, an angry shout rang out.
Everyone turned to look and saw Lin Bingrui walking over with a stern face alongside Lin Zhiyan.
Chen Jianlin was taken aback and hurriedly stepped forward, "Uncle Lin, what brings you here?"
"Humph!" Lin Bingrui glared at Chen Jianlin and snorted coldly, paying him no attention as he took steps towards Jiang Chen. "Mr. Jiang, I apologize."
Bowing slightly to Jiang Chen, Lin Bingrui then turned and glared at the staff mber with a steely face: "Mr. Jiang is my guest. Are you trying to kick out my guest?"
The staff mber turned pale and quickly waved his hands, "No, no, of course not!"
"Go away!" Lin Bingrui ordered sternly.
The staff mber quickly bowed to Jiang Chen, apologized, and hurriedly walked away.
Chen Jianlin was dumbfounded and looked at Lin Bingrui in disbelief.
What, what’s going on? Who is that kid? Why is Uncle Lin being so polite to him? How is this possible? Could it be... Uncle Lin intends to marry Miss Lin off to that youngster?
Thinking of a possibility, Chen Jianlin’s face completely darkened, and he glared viciously at Jiang Chen not far away.
"He was invited by President Lin?"
"How is this possible? He’s actually a guest of President Lin?!"
"No wonder Miss Lin was following him just now!"
"That’s right, Chen Jianlin has kicked an iron plate this ti. Not only did he fail to press down on others, but he also made Miss Lin despise him even more!"
The crowd in the outer hall was full of astonishnt. After they recovered, they began whispering again, their faces filled with disbelief.
Li Hao shrank his neck and directly hid behind soone next to him, avoiding the place where Jiang Chen could see him, fearing that Jiang Chen would trouble him because of what had just happened. His heart was filled with shock!
That Jiang Chen had sohow beco Lin Bingrui’s guest, and Lin Bingrui was so polite to him? What the hell is going on!? What on earth has that guy done?
Gong Yue was also dumbstruck, staring blankly at Jiang Chen’s indifferent expression, a very inexplicable feeling surging in her heart.

After sending the staff away, Lin Bingrui glanced over the people present, and the outer hall instantly quieted down.
"Mr. Jiang, I’m truly sorry!" Lin Bingrui apologized to Jiang Chen once more and gestured to Jiang Chen, "Let Zhi Yan stay by your side. She can accompany you throughout the auction to help you avoid so unnecessary trouble!"
Jiang Chen nodded casually, which was taken as an agreent.
Lin Bingrui gave Lin Zhiyan a look and then turned to leave. It was not quite suitable for him to stay here as the gathering consisted of younger people.
Seeing Lin Bingrui leave Lin Zhiyan behind to accompany Jiang Chen, Chen Jianlin felt his teeth itch with rage as he glared fiercely at Jiang Chen, his eyes nearly spitting fire.
Gong Yue glanced at Lin Zhiyan, who was standing beside Jiang Chen, and then at Chen Jianlin, the corners of her mouth slightly lifted. She knew Chen Jianlin and his temper. This matter, she feared, was far from over!
After Lin Bingrui left, no one else dared to trouble Jiang Chen. Knowing that even Lin Bingrui, the power overlord, paid respect to him, seeking troubles with Jiang Chen would be courting death!
So, a few young masters and misses approached Jiang Chen to chat, trying to pry so information about who Jiang Chen was and why he was invited by Lin Bingrui.
Little did they know, Jiang Chen had no interest in being superficially polite with these people and went straight to a table to start eating again.
The crowd was once again taken aback, wanting to seek out Lin Zhiyan, but unexpectedly, Lin Zhiyan also joined Jiang Chen and began to eat.
