Xu Gang muttered under his breath as he approached with a wine glass in hand and roughly pushed the waiter aside.
"Heh heh, Miss Ye, you’ve beco even more beautiful since the last ti I saw you." Xu Gang’s face was plastered with smiles, "For such a beautiful lady to dine, how can there not be flowers and red wine as accompanints? But even with flowers and wine, having a pauper by your side still doesn’t bring out Miss Ye’s stunning beauty."
At this point, so people in the hall began to take notice of Xu Gang’s actions.

But Jiang Chen still showed no reaction, leisurely continuing to eat his al.
Ye Jingyi grew anxious. Why was Jiang Chen not doing anything?

Finally finished with his al, Jiang Chen took a napkin, wiped his mouth in an unhurried manner, raised his head, and looked at Xu Gang, his voice calm, "Xu Gang, have you forgotten how pain feels since your scars healed?"
"Oh my." Xu Gang feigned an exaggerated reaction, "What? You’re going to hit ? This is the Splendid Hotel; the people eating here are all from high society. Only lowly and poor people like you resort to violence."
"Hmph, that’s typical of the poor, no skills other than resorting to violence."
"Exactly, just looking at how he’s dressed, you can tell. How did such an uncouth pauper even get in here?"
"His woman, though, is truly beautiful. It’s like a swan stepping into a gutter, getting dirtied by the rotten fish."
The other guests in the hall looked at Jiang Chen with disdain, mocking him openly.
Xu Gang was quite satisfied with the effect he had created and cast a sneering glance at Jiang Chen before turning to Ye Jingyi, "Miss Ye, you’ve heard it all. Do you really think he suits you better than I do?"
As he spoke, he casually pulled out a Maserati car key worth two million from his pocket and tossed it in front of Ye Jingyi.
"Miss Ye, if you drive away this puking boy now, I’ll imdiately give you my Maserati."
Ye Jingyi, her face flushed with sha and anger, was at a loss.
Jiang Chen spoke dismissively, "Your car is second-hand."
"Second-hand?" Xu Gang sneered, "It’s a two million car, you got the guts to buy a new one?"
"I sure do."
Jiang Chen smiled and pointed outside to the parked vehicles, "I’d like to ask, where is the person in charge of the car show outside?"
"I’m right here." A voice ca from the side, a middle-aged man at a nearby table looked over, "I’m in charge of this car show. What about it, you want to buy one of our cars?"
His voice was full of disdain; it was evident he too had little respect for Jiang Chen. He ca closer, seemingly just to enjoy the thrill of putting soone in their place.
Jiang Chen cracked a slight smile, raised his hand, and pointed at a blue sports car right in the middle outside the window, asking casually, "Is that car for sale?"
Everyone in the hall turned their heads to look, and imdiately so people gasped.
"Is that a Lamborghini-Aventador?!"
"It must be four or five million, right?"
"What four or five million, this is the latest version, over six million. I just asked about the price, I can’t afford it."
"What’s this guy getting at? He’s not seriously thinking of buying it, is he?"
"Can he afford it? Pretending to be rich when he’s poor."
There was a flurry of such discussions among the crowd.
Jinhai City is just a second-tier city, where cars worth two or three million do exist, but they’re not very common. Even among the so-called respectable people eating in this hotel that ranks in Jinhai City, it’s considered good to have a car worth a million. Cars over five million are beyond most of these people.
"Haha, if it’s on display, isn’t it for sale? Are you buying it? Can you afford it?" Before the car show manager, Pang Dacheng, could speak, Xu Gang started to mock.
Jiang Chen ignored him, staring straight at Pang Dacheng.
"Of course it’s for sale, but can you really afford it? That’s 6.8 million."
The sales manager Pang Dacheng was equally disdainful; he had been at the car show for several days, and although many people had inquired, they were all scared off by the price. But Jiang Chen imdiately pulled out a bank card and slapped it on the table: "Good, I’ll take it, to give to my wife."
Everyone was startled and looked at the bank card on Jiang Chen’s table with skeptical eyes, murmuring to each other in low voices.
"Is that guy really laying it on thick? He even slapped down his bank card?"
"Look at the way he’s dressed. Does that bank card even have that much money in it?"
"You’re asking the wrong question; you should ask if there’s any money on that bank card at all."
"Haha, right."
Xu Gang also rolled his eyes, glanced at the bank card, looked at Jiang Chen, and sneered in his heart: Still trying to bluff ?
"Alright, those are your words. Just don’t have a card decline because of insufficient funds, and then claim you brought the wrong card, that the card with money was left at ho. That would just be disappointing."
Xu Gang directly blocked Jiang Chen’s way out with his words. Extrely arrogant, extrely cunning.
Yet Jiang Chen still ignored Xu Gang, only staring at Pang Dacheng, and asked calmly, "If I buy it, will you sell it to ?"
"Sell, if you have the money, I will sell it," Pang Dacheng responded with a disdainful laugh, also believing that Jiang Chen was just pretending.
However, at that mont, Ye Jingyi was truly anxious: "Jiang Chen, are you crazy? I didn’t ask you to buy a car."
Ye Jingyi ant well, she knew there was money in Jiang Chen’s card, but it was Zhang Long’s money, not to be used. Now, if Jiang Chen used that money to buy a car, wouldn’t that be walking right into a trap?

But her words sounded different to others.
"See? Even that woman knows this guy is just showing off, haha."

"But can she stop it?"

People laughed loudly.
Xu Gang was even more delighted, quickly interjecting, "Hey, you said you’re going to buy, you can’t go back on your word now. Manager Pang, go ahead, swipe the card."
"No problem, here it cos." Pang Dacheng was all too cooperative and imdiately signaled soone to bring over the POS machine.
The crowd knew it was ti for a face-slapping show-off mont and perked up their spirits.
They were all waiting to see Jiang Chen make a fool of himself.
