"ng Yanran, do you know why Zhang Wenjie disappeared?" Jiang Chen frowned as he looked at the approaching ng Yanran.
ng Yanran glanced at Jiang Chen and turned her head to Lu Yunbo and the others, "You don’t have to worry. Zhang Wenjie didn’t disappear. His family took him ho."
"Ho? That guy, he could have at least said sothing before going ho!" Sun Hao muttered under his breath, clearly displeased.
Lu Yunbo frowned slightly and gave ng Yanran a deep look before turning to Jiang Chen. He wasn’t as naive as Sun Hao and had a feeling sothing wasn’t right.
"I’ll have a word with Teacher ng. You guys go ahead and start class," Jiang Chen said softly, catching Lu Yunbo’s gaze.
Lu Yunbo nodded and pulled Sun Hao away, believing that if sothing had happened to Zhang Wenjie, Jiang Chen wouldn’t just stand by and do nothing.
"Jiang Chen, let’s go for a walk," ng Yanran said before Jiang Chen could speak.
Jiang Chen nodded slightly, and the two strolled down the school’s pathway.
"I’m Zhang Wenjie’s fiancée, the kind where we were betrothed as children!" ng Yanran blurted out, catching Jiang Chen off guard.
ng Yanran smiled faintly, "I am two years older than Wenjie, and our families have been close for a century. When Wenjie’s mother was pregnant with him, my grandfather and Zhang grandfather agreed that if Wenjie were a girl, it would be fine, but if he were a boy, he would be betrothed to as a child."
"We grew up together since we were kids. Wenjie has always been a very assertive boy, protecting from when we were little, but..."
ng Yanran’s eyes revealed a touch of sadness, "Wenjie began to distance himself from after participating in a sumr camp in his second year of high school and even went to Dingjing for university. "That... Since Xiao Jie didn’t tell you, it’s not convenient for to say. But..." ng Yanran gave another wry smile, "If he wanted to avoid , how could he possibly go ho!"
Hearing this, Jiang Chen took out his phone to make a call.

"Teacher ng, please give your cell phone number," Jiang Chen interrupted her, speaking softly.
ng Yanran gave a small smile, and they exchanged phone numbers before parting ways.
As he left the school, Jiang Chen paused, surprised to see a familiar petite figure beside his car.
