He knew full well that Elder Sise of their Nuo Deng Family was a very proud man. He would never speak in such an equal, even slightly wary and courteous tone to soone he considered his inferior. Yet now, he was doing just that.
Could it be that this Eastern Lad truly has what it takes to be considered his equal, to stand shoulder to shoulder with him? But… how is that possible? He's so young!

By the Arno River, Chen Fei looked at Sise with a calm, almost expressionless face. "My surna is Chen, from Huaxia. However... I don't think we need to get acquainted."
Though he appeared calm, it was clear from his tone and the slight gravity in his eyes that deep down, he was not nearly as composed as his expression suggested.
He couldn't help it. With his current power, dealing with an S Superpower User or a cultivator at the Early Stage Peak of the Innate Realm was easy enough, but an ss Level opponent… he was still sowhat outmatched. "What?! Jack the Blade! Could it be..." Upon hearing this, Elder Sise's expression changed, and the look he gave Chen Fei was no longer so gentle.
Of course, he knew who Chen Fei ant by Jack the Blade. He was a legendary assassin whose reputation echoed throughout the Assassin World of not just Europe, but the entire globe. He had even managed to assassinate a Vice Sect Hierarch of their Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church.
But that wasn't the main point now. The main point was that they had already received news of Crimson Fang's destruction and the legendary assassin's demise. Now, Chen Fei was claiming the Glory Page was a trophy he'd taken from Jack the Blade. And so, after a long, expressionless silence, Elder Sise finally looked up and spoke, his voice turning cold.
"Ordinarily, I would not wish to have a misunderstanding with a powerhouse such as yourself. However, the Glory Page is simply too important to our Nuo Deng Family, so I ask for your understanding of our difficult position."
Elder Sise gazed deeply at Chen Fei, then added, "Perhaps we would be willing to pay a price to have you return the Glory Page. It all depends on what you require."
It was clear that while his tone was assertive and left little room for negotiation, he still couldn't ignore the threat posed by Chen Fei, the man who had killed Jack the Blade. Thus, his tone softened slightly, leaving the door open for discussion.
The Glory Page was originally a Holy Artifact of their Nuo Deng Family, yet now they were willing to trade for it… That did show so sincerity.

Hearing this, Chen Fei's eyebrows twitched, and a thoughtful look crossed his face.
Although he disapproved of their initial attitude, of trying to snatch things from his hands, they did have a point. A so-called Western Holy Artifact like the Glory Page, in the eyes of an Ancient Martial Artist like him, was indeed sothing of a trifle. Holding onto it didn't seem to have much use.
With this in mind, his eyes narrowed thoughtfully. He then looked up, locking his gaze on Sise, and said slowly, "I can give you the item, but you must agree to one condition."
