That was simply impossible. The re thought of it made them want to leave.
"Wait!"
Prince Schumacher, who had remained calm and collected, could no longer maintain his composure. "Everyone," he exclaid, "is there so kind of misunderstanding?"
"A misunderstanding? Heh..." Chen Fei paused his retreat, turning to face the prince with a cold sneer. "Let's be blunt, Prince. Do you really think we'd place our lives completely in your hands? With that Formation Talisman, the mont we enter the Great Formation, everything would be under your control, wouldn't it? Do you think that's realistic?"
The others mirrored his cold sneer, their faces filled with anger. Were they really that foolish, entrusting their lives to soone else?
"If I, Schumacher, truly harbored any ill intentions, I wouldn't have shown you this now. Wouldn't it have been better to reveal it after we were already inside?" Prince Schumacher countered. His words caused the tension in the air to ease slightly, as his point did seem to make so sense.
"But a single sentence isn't enough to convince us, Prince Schumacher," Saint Magus lsdom said, his face grave. Everyone present agreed, their gazes converging on Schumacher, silently demanding a satisfactory explanation.
"Indeed," Schumacher said slowly. "But you are all being too anxious. I was just about to explain." He then looked around at the crowd and uttered an astonishing revelation. "Actually, this object in my hands cannot control the outer layer of this seal."
"You an... there's another Great Formation inside!?" Chen Fei asked, his pupils shrinking.
"...Yes."
Prince Schumacher glanced at Chen Fei and nodded in affirmation. "In fact, this seal is divided into two layers, an inner and an outer, or perhaps there are two separate seals entirely. This treasure in my hand is the key to the inner seal. As for the outer seal... I have no way of controlling it."
"Is that so?" an authoritative and indifferent voice cut in. It was Wenn Tianxiong, who strode right up to Prince Schumacher and held out his hand. "Prince Schumacher, I need to verify what you've said. Any problem with that?"
"I... Of course not." A flash of anger flickered across Schumacher's face before he quickly suppressed it. "By all ans, let Mr. Wenn Tianxiong prove my innocence." He passed the Formation Talisman to Wenn Tianxiong, his eyes narrowing in a cold smile. All eyes imdiately shifted to Wenn Tianxiong. After all, his formidable power in Formations was well-known in their circle.
Wenn Tianxiong fiddled with the square Formation Talisman, but he couldn't produce any effect. The azure energy patterns clinging to the stone door remained motionless, continuing to operate in their specific sequence. After a few monts, he stopped and looked up, stating indifferently, "He's right. This Formation Talisman has no effect on the Formation."
"Let try." A hand suddenly extended in front of him.
"You... Boy, what is the aning of this?" Wenn Tianxiong was taken aback, his frosty gaze fixing on the hand's owner—our Chen Fei, Young Master Chen. His voice was as cold and sharp as a blade. "Are you suggesting I'm now colluding with him to deceive you all?"
"And what if you are?" Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, retorted, his attitude firm and unyielding. "Do you think I'd be willing to place my life in your hands? Do I look that stupid?"
"You... Very well! Hmph!" Wenn Tianxiong's eyes grew frigid, and he glared at Chen Fei as if he were about to breathe fire, his gaze brimming with undisguised killing intent.
However, he forcefully suppressed the rage in his heart. With a final icy glare and a cold snort directed at Chen Fei, he tossed the Formation Talisman, which Chen Fei caught. Seeing this, a chilly, mocking smile spread across Wenn Yongshou's unpleasant face. "You presumptuous fool. Do you really think your ager skills in the Formation Dao amount to anything?"
Hearing this, Chen Fei's hands stilled for a mont. He turned his head toward Wenn Yongshou, a scornful smirk playing on his lips. "It's still better than soone who nearly wet his pants in fear. If I were that soone, I wouldn't be humiliating myself by speaking up right now. Heh... And what do you think you are?" When it ca to verbal combat, Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, feared no one present.
Humiliating himself? Yes, that was exactly what it was.
"You little bastard... Very well! I hope you get the chance to fall into my hands. When that day cos, I'll make you wish you were dead!" A deep crimson flushed Wenn Yongshou's cheeks, his expression twisting into a chilling and savage mask. Staring at Chen Fei as if he wanted to eat him alive, he vowed, his voice thick with naked murderous intent.
"Is that so?" Chen Fei replied lightly. "I'd like to return the sentint. You'd better pray to the heavens that you don't fall into my hands. Otherwise, you will regret it."
Hearing this exchange, the others were left speechless, exchanging looks with one another as profound shock showed in their eyes.
