Among those people was Lorid, the ss Ultimate Powerhouse from the Nordic Odin Shrine who had previously clashed with Chen Fei. When Lorid saw Chen Fei appear, his expression instantly changed, his eyes betraying his unease.
However, Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, clearly had no intention of holding a grudge. Glancing at the group, he pursed his lips and asked, "Everyone is just waiting here. Is there so trouble ahead?" As he spoke, his gaze subtly drifted toward the palace, and he frowned. He could sense so kind of disturbance in that direction.
"Indeed, there is so trouble. Mr. Chen, since we've all been transported here together, it must be fate. Why don't we join forces to get through? The monster ahead is quite difficult to deal with. Before you arrived, one of our friends tried to force his way through and was devoured and torn to pieces!" a kind-faced, brown-haired foreigner replied, his tone a mixture of excitent and solemnity.
Although Chen Fei was a young man from the East, his astonishing strength was evident to all. That was why the foreigner was so excited. After all, if they could team up with soone so powerful, the danger would undoubtedly be much lower.
"A monster?"
Hearing this, Chen Fei's gaze sharpened as he carefully surveyed the area. Dozens of miles away, on the only path leading to the gigantic palace, hovered clusters of sinister, dark-red mist. Whenever a chilly wind blew from so unknown direction and brushed across the mist, faint, eerie wails and screams echoed out, chilling one to the bone.
It seed this peculiar dark-red mist could only move within that specific area. Otherwise, Chen Fei and the others would have been relentlessly sward by the 'monster' long ago.
"What is that thing?" Chen Fei asked, narrowing his eyes.
"I don't know. It could be the power of the seal itself, or it could be a creature from deep within the palace deliberately leaking its power, which created this anomaly. At this rate, it looks like the seal is really about to fail in containing the Demon of the Holy Domain!" the brown-haired foreigner said, his voice laced with worry as he began to question the wisdom of his choice to co here.
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned to Chen Fei again and said earnestly, "Mr. Chen, I know that monster isn't overwhelmingly powerful, but it would be safer if we acted together, wouldn't it? Let introduce myself. I am Omado from the Simon Family of Sweden. I may not be as formidable as you, Mr. Chen, but I won't hold you back." This foreigner was both frank and clever; he knew that acting with Chen Fei would be far safer for him.
Upon hearing the brown-haired foreigner's words, the others showed similar expressions of agreent.
"Heh..."
But just then, Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, let out a cold laugh. He extended his finger and pointed directly at Lorid from the Nordic Odin Shrine, a faint smile playing on his lips. "If you want to act with , fine. But he cannot be included."
The color drained from Lorid's face, as if he had been profoundly humiliated. Omado Simon also wore a troubled look. "Mr. Chen, this..." The Odin Temple wielded imnse power in the Nordic region, to the point where it could nearly call all the shots. Unless it was absolutely necessary, he was unwilling to offend a high-ranking official from the Odin Temple like Lorid. After all, their Simon Family was based in Sweden, which was in Western Europe.
Witnessing this, the others exchanged uneasy looks and fell into an awkward silence. Clearly, none of them wanted to be the one to stick their neck out and commit such an obvious offense.
"Not possible? Then forget it." Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, gave an indifferent smirk and strode directly toward the demonic mist, making it clear he intended to proceed alone.
"FUCK! Who the hell does he think he is? Does he really think we can't get through without him?" Lorid's face contorted with displeasure, and he seed extrely agitated. He was obviously still holding a grudge over Chen Fei's earlier humiliation.
He then cursed venomously, "Does that little bastard really think he's sothing special? How dare he be so arrogant as to go alone. It would be best if those monsters tore him to shreds! Hmph!"
On hearing Lorid's ridiculous words, expressions of ridicule surfaced on the others' faces. They couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. Why did we give up on a powerful ally like Chen Fei because of this idiot? If even a powerhouse like him can't get past this first, outermost barrier, what are we still doing here? We might as well turn around and leave now instead of wasting our ti!
And indeed, though the demonic mist had just devoured one person, it couldn't cause any trouble for Chen Fei, Young Master Chen. As the dark-red mist rolled toward him, strands of dazzling fla light erupted and kept it at bay. With the protection of the Sanyang True Fire, the mist couldn't get anywhere near him.
Witnessing this, Lorid looked as though he had been slapped across the face again, his expression turning even more ashen and ugly. Omado, however, grew excited at the sight. "Let's go, too!" he urged. "With that guy clearing the path ahead, we'll be much safer."
"Hmph! Omado, what do you an by that? Do you think I, Lorid, need that little bastard to be so presumptuous as to clear the way for us? Are you questioning my power?" Lorid demanded, his face growing even more sullen. He let out a cold snort, his expression turning fierce.
He had been so dismissive of Chen Fei monts before, but now he had to rely on his protection to find the courage to charge through the demonic mist. For Lorid, this was an incredible loss of face, and his pride was difficult to swallow.
This ti, however, no one seed willing to coddle his pride. Chen Fei was already advancing deeper into the demonic mist, getting farther away. If they delayed any longer, they might not make it.
Without any further hesitation, they hurried after Chen Fei, following the path he had cleared.
Seeing this, Lorid was taken aback for a mont. Then, clenching his teeth, his face flushed with anger and sha, he rushed after them into the demonic mist.
Suddenly, the faint eerie wails and screams from the mist grew even more intense, enough to send a chill down one's spine.
