"Why must you two be so enraged? I believe the Prince didn't intentionally conceal anything from us—it's just that he genuinely didn't know. Otherwise, his n wouldn't be in their current state, with every one of them injured." A light chuckle suddenly cut through the tense atmosphere. The speaker was Mardo, the so-called Scorched Earth Underworld Emperor, who smiled amiably at both parties with a conciliatory tone.
Given the circumstances, he certainly preferred to believe what Schumacher had said; otherwise, things would probably beco truly troubleso.
"Humph," Saint Magus lsdom snorted coldly, his gaze sweeping over the three peak Grand Duke elders of the Brad Family standing behind Schumacher. His keen eyes indeed noticed that all three n bore serious injuries. Seeing this, he furrowed his brow slightly but refrained from further questioning.
No matter how much doubt he harbored, Mardo's words did seem reasonable. More importantly, even he, lsdom, was unwilling to believe this was a trap. If it were, wouldn't they be nothing more than cornered beasts?
Seeing this, Prince Schumacher also let out a cold huff. But before the sound even left his lips, his expression froze. He whipped his head around, staring toward the great doors of the hall. He wasn't the only one. Everyone else instinctively followed his gaze, and a mont later, their faces grew tense.
An extrely tumultuous noise erupted from beyond the doors! A deafening rumble echoed throughout the area. Even the dim palace hall began to tremble slightly as the temperature in the air suddenly soared, causing them all to break out in a sweat.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
Just then, two figures burst through the dimly lit doorway, moving at an incredible speed.
Hot on their heels was a massive, flaming monster, relentlessly pursuing them with terrifying power and intense heat. In the blink of an eye, they all shot through the doorway and into the hall. Upon seeing this, the expressions of Schumacher and the others changed, instantly turning grim.
"It seems Wenn Tianxiong and Mr. Wenn Yongshou have run into trouble. That damned thing dared to chase them all the way here! Everyone, let's attack together!" he commanded decisively. As he spoke, a pair of grotesque, demon-like wings erupted from his back, and he shot into the air.
Seeing this, everyone exchanged glances but voiced no objections, springing into action and attacking the massive fla creature! They had all been chased by this monstrous thing before and were naturally harboring resentnt, eager for a chance to vent it.
Seeing the others spring into action, the two figures who had just burst in sped up again, quickly reaching Prince Schumacher, who had been the first to charge. Only now could everyone clearly see that the two n were indeed the Wenn brothers, Tianxiong and Yongshou. Neither of them looked well, however; they were clearly disheveled from the chase.
"Since everyone's here, let's finish this damned creature off! I'm going to tear it to pieces!" Wenn Tianxiong said coldly. It was clear he hadn't been in such a sorry state in a long ti, and a ferocious look crossed his face the mont he stopped.
"Of course we'll tear it apart and vent our fury! But... why has it suddenly beco so powerful? I rember it wasn't this strong when we faced it earlier," Schumacher said. He had stopped his charge, hovering in mid-air on his intimidating demonic wings in his strongest combat form. He frowned, his gaze fixed on the enormous fla monster.
"It wasn't that formidable at first," Wenn Yongshou said, his expression grim. "But just as my brother and I were about to finish it off, the damned thing suddenly transford. It started devouring the smaller ones, and then... it beca this."
"So that's what happened," soone remarked as the others gathered, having overheard Wenn Yongshou. "No wonder this damned thing suddenly beca so powerful. I was starting to feel hopeless, losing the will to even fight back. Other than the two of you, the Wenn brothers, anyone else who ran into this transford beast would have been in grave danger."
They couldn't even defeat the Fla Demon before its transformation; their only option upon encountering it had been to flee. Now, its power had grown so imnsely that it drove most of them to despair. Yet, this monstrously powerful creature had only managed to harry the Wenn brothers, leaving them completely unhard. The implication of that power gap was not lost on anyone.
"But is this thing truly mindless, or is it just underestimating us?" Mardo said with a sudden, cold laugh. "It sees that we've all gathered here, yet it shows no intention of leaving."
He didn't need to say it; everyone had already noticed. The transford Fla Demon had seen the Wenn brothers join their group and had stopped its pursuit. But instead of retreating, it simply stood its ground, staring at them with cold, rciless, blazing eyes. This blatant contempt angered everyone present, and their faces turned grim.
