Such a priceless treasure should be mine, Wenn Tianxiong's! In an instant, his heart was filled with foulness and greed.
"I'm surprised you could recognize this as a Mid-Grade Magical Artifact. It seems I've underestimated your keen eye."
Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, was the one who was stunned for a mont. He hadn't expected the other man to recognize that the Mystic Stone Mirror was a Mid-Grade Magical Artifact, not a Low-Grade one. But then, he abruptly looked up, a mocking sneer forming on his lips. "So what if you recognized it? This treasure is mine, not yours! Judging by your expression, you really want it, don't you?"
"You..."
At these words, Wenn Tianxiong's face twisted. His expression flickered, dark and uncertain for a long mont, before greed finally resurfaced on his ugly old face, joined by a contemptuous sneer. He looked at Chen Fei and said in a disdainful tone, "You little bastard, you're certainly lucky to have stumbled upon such a priceless treasure. However, with your paltry Cultivation Level, do you really think you can unleash its full power?"
"Fine. I suppose you've earned so rit by delivering this priceless treasure to , you little bastard. For that, I'll be rciful and grant you a quick death! HA HA, HA HA HA!" As he spoke, he burst into wild laughter, as if he could already see himself wielding the treasure, becoming Invincible and dominating the Earth. His manic laughter showed he held Chen Fei, the Mystic Stone Mirror's current owner, in complete disregard.
He could afford to be so contemptuous because he knew full well that a peerless treasure like a Mid-Grade Magical Artifact required an imnse amount of True Qi or Spiritual Energy to unleash its terrifying might. And did this little brat, this whelp who hadn't even finished growing, possess such qualifications?
"Is that so?" Upon hearing Wenn Tianxiong's words, a cold glint flashed deep in Chen Fei's eyes as he slowly clenched his fist. At that sa mont, the Mystic Stone Mirror in his palm began to emanate a faint but intimidating fluctuation.
"You!" Suddenly, the wild laughter on Wenn Tianxiong's face froze, and his pupils constricted slightly. A wave of unease surged through his heart.
Because at that very mont, he finally realized—that little bastard actually dared to make the first move against him, against Wenn Tianxiong!
"It seems you don't believe I can use this Mid-Grade Magical Artifact, do you? Very well. Since you're so blind, I'll just have to show you!"
As his words faded, Chen Fei took a step forward. A large swathe of milky-white spiritual light, almost imperceptible to the naked eye, blood from the palm holding the Mystic Stone Mirror. It shimred and sparkled, yet its glow was soft and not the least bit blinding. In the next instant, the light vanished, shooting back into the mirror's reflective surface. Imdiately, a terrifyingly profound fluctuation emanated from it.
Wenn Tianxiong's expression soured once more, and he grew flustered and exasperated. This was supposed to be a simple matter he could resolve in minutes, but the situation had turned so embarrassingly against him. How could he not be enraged?
ROAR!
A mont later, a deep, strange roar echoed out. A massive burst of yellow light erupted from the Mystic Stone Mirror, rolling forward like a thick layer of soil. Even more terrifyingly, in the blink of an eye, the vast expanse of yellow light condensed into a massive earth serpent, at least several dozen feet long, which then lunged viciously at Wenn Tianxiong.
The massive earth serpent was clearly a manifestation of the Mystic Stone Mirror's concentrated power. It possessed a trendous force, so formidable that even an average Cultivator of the Qi Refining Fifth Layer would struggle to withstand it.
Naturally, Wenn Tianxiong's ever-changing expression settled into one of extre gravity. He couldn't be sure if the serpent's power represented the full might of the Mid-Grade Magical Artifact. However, he could already sense that the power the serpent now radiated was sothing he absolutely could not afford to underestimate.
ROAR!
This little bastard! The thought made him gnash his teeth. After letting out a distorted roar, it felt as if so power erupted from the top of his head. His hair whipped wildly in the wind, growing to more than twice its original length and turning a sinister, purplish-black. At the sa ti, his arms and body trembled. Dense green hair sprouted from his skin, his fingers grew sharp claws, and his face visibly shriveled, creating a horrific visage.
This Old Rascal, he... For a mont, even Chen Fei's expression changed slightly, shocked that the Old Rascal possessed such a bizarre technique. Within his sea of consciousness, Zhen Jingkong saw the scene and comnted in astonishnt, "Corpse transformation? No, this should be so kind of crude and rudintary Body Refining Technique from the Corpse Path, right? It seems to be an incomplete, fragnted version."
It was clear that Wenn Tianxiong had transford into a prototype of so kind of reanimated corpse! A technique like this was likely beyond the capabilities of an ordinary Ancient Martial Artist. Then again, his own brother, Wenn Yongshou, was a Qi Practitioner. How could he, as the older brother, be any less?
ROAR!
Just as the massive earth serpent was about to slam into him, a savage expression appeared on Wenn Tianxiong's ghastly, terrifying, zombie-like face. He opened his mouth, and an intense surge of True Qi erupted like a tidal wave. It poured completely into one of his hands, which he then thrust forward to grab the attack! Is this old monster actually planning to block such a powerful offensive using nothing but his claws infused with True Qi?
