BOOM!
A fierce, volcanic brightness that chilled one to the bone surged forth as the Black Ruler transford into a gushing torrent, violently tearing through the area. The very air seed to evaporate. Even lsdom, who was grievously wounded and on the brink of death nearby, saw his expression change instantly, his eyes filling with unease and anxiety. The look he gave Wenn Yongshou was now filled with deep dread.
It had to be said, after successfully becoming a Qi Refining Sixth Layer Practitioner, Wenn Yongshou's strength was truly terrifying and astounding. At least, that was the undeniable impression in lsdom's mind. And against such formidable power, does that boy truly have any chance of withstanding it?
Amidst lsdom's fearful and restless gaze, the terrifying black torrent ford from the Black Ruler rang out like the chains of the Grim Reaper as it struck down toward Chen Fei's position. The power it radiated was so intimidating that even a Peak Holy Magister like lsdom felt a chill crawl up his spine. Just watching it made it difficult for him to remain calm.
"This ti, I'd like to see you try and run!" Wenn Yongshou gritted his teeth, his old face twisted and ugly as he let out a cold laugh.
"Run? A person like you isn't qualified to make run!" However, facing Wenn Yongshou's contemptuous words, Chen Fei rely gave a grim smile, the depths of his dark pupils flowing with undisguised disdain. If he hadn't wanted to set a trap to hook the fish, this old fool would have lost the nerve to act so arrogantly in his presence long ago.
Run? Very well, let's just see who is the one that runs, and who is the one that falls into utter doom!
Therefore, the composed Young Master Chen simply raised his hand with a wave. The Mystic Stone Mirror shot out like a teorite, quickly forming a terrifying yellow light source in mid-air. It was surrounded by a dense swarm of thumb-sized light blades that crackled and clanged with intimidating power, furiously bombarding the incoming black torrent!
ROAR!
Within the terrifying torrent transford from the Low-Grade Magic Artifact, the Black Ruler, an astonishing light swelled and condensed into the substantive image of a venomous snake. Its gaping, blood-red maw was enough to make one's scalp tingle and every hair stand on end. It lunged down to devour Chen Fei from above, erupting with an intensely sharp Fierce Evil Aura. This Spiritual Energy snake was obviously no ordinary creation, especially judging by the sudden rage that appeared on lsdom's face; he had likely suffered a major defeat at the hands of this very move before.
But it couldn't be helped. The Qi Refining Sixth Layer Realm was indeed comparable to a powerhouse at the Peak Holy Magister level. And that was without ntioning the Low-Grade Magic Artifact, the Black Ruler. Typically, only in the hands of a Cultivator at least at the Qi Refining Sixth Layer could such a weapon truly unleash its full potential.
"Heh, do you see? This is the true power of a Low-Grade Magic Artifact! Fine, I'll let a little whelp like you have a good taste of it today." Seeing this, Wenn Yongshou's face filled with mockery and disdain, as if he possessed an invincible confidence in his own strength. He refused to believe that just anyone could stir up trouble before him—that was simply unrealistic. Who is Wenn Yongshou? What kind of terrifyingly powerful figure am I!?
Consequently, the terrifying Spiritual Energy snake under his control showed no hesitation. It hissed furiously as it shot forward, solidifying into a frightening shockwave like an exploding missile.
However, under the deeply hidden mockery and scorn in Chen Fei, Young Master Chen's eyes, the Yellow Sharp Blade of the Mystic Stone Mirror was no less impressive. It blasted forward, scattering spiritual light as it collided shockingly with the head of the Spiritual Energy snake. Instantly, an indescribable clash and explosion erupted before lsdom's horrified, gasping eyes, rumbling as it burst apart.
BANG!
In the collision, the Spiritual Energy snake phantom was sent flying by a trendous force. Waves of chaotic and violent energy surged, causing Wenn Yongshou to feel a sudden sweetness in his throat as an unnatural flush spread across his face, turning it exceptionally red. Yet, when he looked at the Mystic Stone Mirror's Yellow Sharp Blade, he saw that it had already shattered into starlight. Then, under lsdom's anxious gaze, it dissipated completely.
"You thought you could act recklessly in front of , Wenn Yongshou, with just that much power? Hah..." Initially injured by the backlash, Wenn Yongshou was infuriated, his expression twisted with anger. But when he noticed that the Mystic Stone Mirror's attack had been completely overpowered in the clash with his Magic Artifact, he was suddenly filled with delighted arrogance. The previous negative emotions were instantly swept away. In fact, the sneer on his lips and the intensity of his cold laugh only grew stronger.
"I already told you, a greenhorn like you isn't worth ntioning in my presence. You don't even have the right to force to use my full power!" After the surge of arrogance and complacency, the trash talk naturally followed. Wenn Yongshou had always been this way; he had been even more arrogant and condescending in his youth. It was only with age that he learned to cloak his true nature with a thin layer of cunning. But a disguise, after all, is just a disguise.
"From the sound of it, you're saying you still haven't used your full strength?" Upon hearing the man's boast, the mockery in Chen Fei's eyes deepened. He loved dealing with these brainless braggarts; they were not only easy to handle, but easy to kill. At this thought, a cold, mocking smile began to trickle from the depths of Chen Fei's playful eyes. The power of the Fire of the Three-Headed Hellhound hidden within the Mystic Stone Mirror was finally stirring.
"Of course!" Wenn Yongshou declared, tilting his head back arrogantly. Then his expression turned grim. "You little bastard, don't think I can't see that you're just trying to change the subject and buy ti. But do you really think you can turn the tables? How naive."
"Naive?"
Hearing this, Chen Fei finally looked up at Wenn Yongshou with a half-smile. Unable to suppress the ridicule in his heart any longer, he shook his head and chuckled coldly. "I have to say, I truly admire your intellect. You know I'm stalling for ti, so did you really think I was just being hot-headed and gambling my life away playing with you?" Wenn Yongshou's gaze froze, and he stared at Chen Fei with ice-cold eyes.
"So what? Killing you is as easy as slaughtering a dog!" he snarled, his ugly features contorting with rage. But even as he said it, a thread of unease began to surface in his heart. Clearly, no matter how conceited he was, he knew Chen Fei shouldn't be that foolish.
"Killing like a dog? Heh, you should worry about yourself first..." Hearing this, Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, shook his head with a deep, cold smile, and then, he snapped his fingers.
"What trick are you trying to pull, putting on an act... Ah, you!" When Wenn Yongshou heard Chen Fei's words and saw the gesture, his face turned ashen with suspicion. In the next instant, his alarm spiked, and without a mont's hesitation, he perford a hand seal. Recalling a portion of the Black Ruler's power, he manifested a thin Black Light Shield to envelop his body.
But it was too late. At that very mont, a grim, dark-red fla suddenly appeared at his side. In a flash, it violently pierced through the Black Light Shield.
Wenn Yongshou's expression changed dramatically. Cold sweat poured down his forehead like beads. He must have calculated a thousand possibilities, but he could never have guessed that the Mystic Stone Mirror in Chen Fei's hand wasn't the Low-Grade Magic Artifact he imagined. It was a Mid-Grade Magic Artifact—a tier higher and terrifyingly more powerful. Furthermore, the Fire of the Three-Headed Hellhound was one of the Mystic Stone Mirror's strongest abilities. In his haste, he hadn't fully retracted the Black Ruler's power, so the strike easily tore through the flimsy Black Light Shield and shot toward him.
As a result, he had no chance to resist. The terrifying Fire of the Three-Headed Hellhound instantly burned his neck.
SIZZLE!
The dreadful Hellfire blazed like a volcanic eruption, burning as if it would never be extinguished. The edges of the inferno solidified into ferocious little waves of fla that opened their maws and swallowed the burning Wenn Yongshou. Then, with incredible speed, his body turned to black ash, scattering into the air without a trace.
He was burned directly to cinders, not even bones remaining.
It was his own bad luck. If he hadn't been so arrogant and careless, Chen Fei could still have defeated him, but it wouldn't have been this easy. Perhaps he never could have guessed that Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, held such a terrifying ace up his sleeve. A Mid-Grade Magic Artifact, a tier above a Low-Grade one. The difference in power was by no ans slight.
"I... this... this..."
At that mont, lsdom's eyes went wide, completely dumbfounded. A mont later, a deep sense of horror exploded within his trembling old gaze. Even he could hardly believe what he had just witnessed. After all, that was Wenn Yongshou! His current power was comparable to lsdom's at his peak, and possibly even stronger with the aid of that terrifying Black Ruler. But now? After just one or two exchanges, he had been bizarrely reduced to ashes? This was a complete and utter rout! A thorough thrashing! But... but how could that boy possibly be so strong? This... this is simply unbelievable!
