"Ye Xiu?"
Aside from the Ming and Li families, everyone else present was montarily stunned. It was now clear that Ye Xiu’s influence had expanded far beyond their comprehension.
"Then why did our money arrive instantly? And why was that money, along with everything else in our accounts, mysteriously transferred out again?" Xu Jinghao demanded.
"I think it must have been a bank operating error. After their audit is complete, they’ll return it to you," Kuroki Suzu speculated.
Hearing this, Xu Jinghao and the others breathed a sigh of relief. If all their funds were transferred out and never returned, they would have no choice but to sell their houses, cars, and company shares for cash.
"This was definitely Ye Xiu’s doing," Ming Yue insisted.
"That’s absolutely impossible!" Kuroki Suzu retorted. "Let’s not even discuss whether Ye Xiu has that kind of power. The international currency transfers were handled by the Rongfu Consortium. There’s no way Ye Xiu could have known about it. And if he didn’t know, how could he make the transfer instant and then siphon all the money from your accounts?"
Upon hearing her words, Ming Yue suddenly beca unsure if Ye Xiu was truly behind it. The others chose to believe Kuroki Suzu’s judgnt. Only Xu Jinghao was breaking out in a cold sweat. He was, after all, the one who had told Ye Xiu they were signing the contract here this afternoon.
"There’s trouble!"
Just then, Miyamoto Satoshi rushed in.
"What is it?" Kuroki Suzu asked.
"Soone posted a list online of the people who frad Ye Xiu ten years ago, complete with pictures and proof," Miyamoto Satoshi announced.
"What?"
The color drained from the faces of Kuroki Suzu and everyone else in the room. They hastily pulled out their phones to search and were instantly flooded with tens of millions of related web pages. The very first result was titled: "List of Known Individuals Involved in Framing Ye Xiu Ten Years Ago."
Upon clicking on it, their faces turned deathly pale.
Every person present, except for Kuroki Suzu and Miyamoto Satoshi, was on the list, complete with their photographs. Beneath the nas and photos was a detailed description of the role each of them played in the plot to fra Ye Xiu ten years ago. It was incredibly specific and even included supporting evidence. Furthermore, every illegal act they and their companies had committed over the last decade was also described in excruciating detail, all supported by pictures and hard evidence.
A swell of pride washed over Ming Yue, as if she had predicted everything. "See? The transfer was one hundred percent Ye Xiu’s doing," she declared. "He must have discovered our connection and known you were signing the contract here this afternoon. He calculated the timing perfectly: first, he made the transfer instant, then he took all the money from your accounts, and now he’s exposed all of your cris. I bet your cars, houses, and all your fixed assets have been destroyed by now too."
After hearing Ming Yue’s explanation, Kuroki Suzu finally believed that Ye Xiu was behind it all.
Even though she didn’t know how he had managed it, the fact remained that the Rongfu Consortium had spent a fortune to acquire a majority stake in so many of Kangtai Pharmaceutical’s subsidiary companies. Now, just after the contracts were signed, those companies were about to go bankrupt? This had to be the most disastrous acquisition in business history! If word of this got back to their ho country, the stock prices of every publicly traded company under the Rongfu Consortium would likely plumt off a cliff.
"We’re finished! We have nothing left!" Xu Jinghao exclaid in despair.
The others were on the verge of a ntal breakdown.
"Just like the Ming and Li families, we’re going to beco rats scurrying through the streets, hated by all."
"Ye Xiu is too ruthless! He’s trying to toy with us until we’re dead."
Seeing Xu Jinghao and the others fall into despair, the mbers of the Ming and Li families began to take a grim pleasure in their misfortune. Looks like the Beggar Gang is getting bigger.
"Everyone, don’t lose heart," Kuroki Suzu said, her expression ferocious. "Once we eliminate Ye Xiu, I’ll take you all to Sang Jing. You’ll be able to live the high life there."
At these words, everyone’s eyes lit up, from Xu Jinghao’s group to the mbers of the Ming and Li families. They saw hope once more. They were finished in this country. But in Sang Jing, with the Tiansha Association backing them, they could live even more lavishly than before.
"So, should we target Ye Xiu’s weaknesses now?" Ming Yue asked.
"Exactly!" Kuroki Suzu nodded. "Qin Qing, the Ghost Doctor, Zhu Xiaowen, Yun Lan, Murong, the Qin Family, and Zuo Song’er... I will give you twenty of my masters. Split up and capture them. Even if you only succeed in catching a single one, our victory is assured."
"Alright, we’ll go now," Ming Yue said eagerly, rising to her feet.
Kuroki Suzu nodded and imdiately called in twenty of her subordinates, assigning them to Ming Yue’s group. Empowered with twenty Ninja Warrior masters, the confidence of Ming Yue and the others swelled to its peak. They divided the task among twenty of their own people, each paired with a Ninja Warrior, to capture Qin Qing and the others. The rest remained behind at the Alton Hotel.
As the group headed out, Ming Yue took command, directing them like a seasoned general. "I’ll go after Qin Qing. Brother, you get the Ghost Doctor. Li Bingliang, you take Zhu Xiaowen..."
No one challenged her for leadership. The group was now completely united by a single goal: kill Ye Xiu and go to Sang Jing to enjoy a life of luxury.
"Our other targets should be easier, but be extrely careful when you go for Qin Qing. Ye Xiu might have arranged for powerful bodyguards to be with her," Ming Hao cautioned her.
"Don’t worry. The man Kuroki Suzu assigned to , Mr. Kitahara Eiji, is an Eighth Grade Grandmaster," Ming Yue said, brimming with confidence.
With that, the group stepped out of the Alton Hotel.
THUD!
The mont they crossed the threshold, the Eighth Grade Grandmaster at Ming Yue’s side, Kitahara Eiji, collapsed to the ground with a small red dot on his forehead.
"Sniper! Get back inside!" soone shrieked.
The word "sniper" sent the group into a panic, and they scrambled back into the safety of the hotel.
