Ye Xiu was amused by An Dongye’s nouveau riche act and asked, "Why are you being so loud? Are you afraid people won’t know you’re the one who snatched the Marrow Cleansing Pill?"
"I snatched it with my own ability. What’s there to be afraid of?" An Dongye replied with a bandit’s bravado.
Ye Xiu chuckled. This girl’s nerves were thicker than his own thighs.
"An Dongye!"
At this mont, Murong ca running over, huffing, "Why aren’t you training with the team? What are you doing over here?"
"I’m just taking care of sothing with my bro. I’ll be back to train in a bit," An Dongye said nonchalantly, waving her hand without a shred of the respect a student should have for their horoom teacher.
"Bro?" Murong was taken aback. "Can a man and a woman be bros?"
"We’re good bros," An Dongye declared matter-of-factly, leaving Ye Xiu and Murong speechless.
Murong turned to Ye Xiu, hoping he would keep An Dongye in line. "He’s a new student. He can’t skip training just because of his relationship with her."
"Do you think I can manage her?" Ye Xiu gave a wry smile and changed the subject. "As for you, is it really appropriate to be wasting your ti on training?"
His subtext was a reminder for Murong to spend more ti on her cultivation. After all, her life was approaching a critical point. If she didn’t master the Cold Ice Technique soon, she would be in mortal danger.
"I understand. I’ll go find the Ghost Doctor right now. I won’t be training anymore." Murong knew Ye Xiu was looking out for her. Indeed, ever since she acquired the Cold Ice Technique, she had beco a little neglectful of her Yin Poison Body.

Ye Xiu was taken aback. He had assud An Dongye would be highly secretive about her undocunted status and had never dared to bring it up. As it turned out, the girl didn’t seem to care at all.
He asked, "Why are you undocunted? Where are you from? What about your parents?"
An Dongye didn’t answer, changing the subject instead. "How about this? I’ll put the money from the Marrow Cleansing Pill into your account, and I’ll just get it from you when I need it."
Ye Xiu was inwardly disappointed. This girl’s identity really was a mystery. She seed so carefree and bold on the outside, but she was actually very ticulous.
He said, "The Marrow Cleansing Pill you snatched is a fake."
"Impossible!" An Dongye refused to believe it. "The Marrow Cleansing Pill from the Yunxuan Auction House auction was genuine. I’m absolutely certain of it."
"It seems you know who sold the Marrow Cleansing Pill to Yunxuan Auction House, don’t you?" Ye Xiu inquired.
"I do," An Dongye nodded.
"Who is it?" Ye Xiu asked.
"I can’t tell you that," An Dongye said, her voice dropping mysteriously.
"Fine then." Ye Xiu was disappointed again, but he only grew more curious about her identity. He said, "Since you’re familiar with Marrow Cleansing Pills, you should be able to tell if one is real or fake, right?"
"Of course!" An Dongye nodded.
"Then you didn’t check it after you snatched it?" Ye Xiu asked.
"AHEM..." An Dongye scratched her head awkwardly. "After I snatched the pill, I was on the run with Kuroki Suzu for hours. Then I just went back to the dorm and slept. I haven’t had a chance to look at it yet."
Ye Xiu was left speechless.
"DAMN IT!" An Dongye fished the White Jade Box out of her pocket and opened it. "It really is a fake! All that work for nothing!"
Ye Xiu frowned. An Dongye had identified the Marrow Cleansing Pill as fake with just a glance. It was clear she must have seen real ones before, and more than once.
He tentatively asked, "Do you know what kind of dicinal pill this fake one is?"
An Dongye took it out and sniffed it. "No clue!"
She carelessly tossed it aside, then plopped down on the ground with a gloomy face. "All that work for nothing!"
Ye Xiu chuckled. "It wasn’t for nothing. This White Jade Box is very valuable."
An Dongye’s eyes lit up. "How valuable?"
"I’ll take you to sell it, and you’ll find out," Ye Xiu said. "But before that, I’ll take you to get a legal identity registered first. That way, you won’t be undocunted anymore."
An Dongye was surprised. "You have connections in the Official Family?"
"Mhm," Ye Xiu nodded.
"Haha! I didn’t realize my little bro had such an impressive background! Let’s go, let’s do it right now!" An Dongye was thrilled, looping her arm around Ye Xiu’s shoulder as she pulled him along.
By noon, her residency issues were resolved and her Identity Token had been issued. Ye Xiu then took An Dongye to the bank to open an account.

The salesgirl took the White Jade Box, led Ye Xiu and An Dongye to a seating area, and then hurried into a back room. She approached a bald, middle-aged man and said, "Boss, so people are here to sell a White Jade Box," handing it to him.
"What a fine item!"
The owner took one look at the White Jade Box and knew it was valuable. "What do the sellers look like?" he asked.
"A man and a woman. The man is wearing a mask and looks to be in his twenties. The woman is about twenty, very tall, but with a great figure," the salesgirl reported.
The owner laughed. "They’re so young, they definitely don’t know the business. They probably stole it from ho to get so spending money. Looks like I’m about to make a killing."
Saying this, he took the White Jade Box and walked out.
