All the onlooking gamblers assud Lv Liang was deliberately losing to Ye Xiu. They figured he was letting Ye Xiu win the first two rounds only to take it all back in the third, as if he were just toying with him. An Dongye and the Croupier thought so too.
Listening to the accusations around him, Lv Liang nearly coughed up blood from rage. Deliberately losing my ass! I wanted to win, too!
However, he had to save face. He could only force a smile and admit that he had indeed lost on purpose. "Since this gentleman is visiting the Crystal Palace for the first ti, as the host, I must ensure he has a good ti."

Hearing this, Lv Liang and everyone else present laughed. What is a gambler? A gambler is soone who, after winning, thinks they will keep winning, and after losing, thinks they can win it all back. Ye Xiu had just won 330 million in the blink of an eye, not to ntion the 12 million from Zhang Wenyi. After winning so much, how could he possibly walk away?
"Sure," Ye Xiu readily agreed.
The smiles on the faces of Lv Liang and everyone else instantly froze. They all stared at Ye Xiu in shock. This kid’s willpower is terrifying! He actually resisted the urge to keep winning and hit the brakes in ti!
In truth, Ye Xiu wanted to continue gambling, too. However, he knew that if he kept using his Inner Strength to manipulate Lv Liang’s dice, his opponent would eventually notice. After all, as a gambling veteran, Lv Liang would certainly grow suspicious after several consecutive losses, which would inevitably lead to trouble. "I’ll co back another day," Ye Xiu replied dismissively, gesturing for An Dongye to join him in cashing in the chips.
Seeing that Ye Xiu was determined to quit, Lv Liang grew anxious. He couldn’t let this kid walk away with the money. But if he forcibly detained Ye Xiu, it would severely damage the casino’s reputation, and no one would dare to play here in the future.
"Young Master Lv..." Just then, Li Yuefeng, whom An Dongye had knocked out, ran up, huffing and puffing. "Young Master Lv, I was attacked and robbed!"

The onlooking gamblers erupted with excitent. They had been thinking that since Ye Xiu had taken 330 million from Lv Liang, Lv Liang certainly wouldn’t let it go. They figured he wouldn’t make a move openly but would probably have soone follow Ye Xiu and rob him in secret. Now, it seed Lv Liang had a direct reason to beat soone up and take the money back.
"Oh?" Lv Liang almost laughed out loud. He had just been struggling to find a reason to stop Ye Xiu, and Li Yuefeng had delivered one right to him. Staring coldly at Ye Xiu, he said, "Sir, Li Yuefeng is the manager of the Crystal Palace. You attacked him and stole his money. Do you think the Crystal Palace is a pushover?"
Before Ye Xiu could answer, An Dongye cut in. "I’m the one who hit him and took the money. It has nothing to do with him. I did it because last night, he tricked into losing money and even ordered his bodyguards to grab with ill intentions."
"You’re full of shit!" Li Yuefeng retorted. "Last night, you were drunk and passed out on the roadside. I helped you up, but you were the one who insisted on gambling, so I had no choice but to bring you here. Just now, I tried to stop you from gambling again, but you hit and stole my money!"
Ye Xiu frowned; this guy was truly shaless.
An Dongye, however, was furious. "You son of a bitch, how dare you twist the truth! Are you asking for another beating?"
"Look! Look, Young Master Lv! An Dongye dares to threaten right in front of you and all these people!" Li Yuefeng clamored.
"An Dongye, you’ve gone too far," Lv Liang said coldly. "You attacked Li Yuefeng, robbed him, and are now threatening him in public. If I, as his boss, don’t do sothing about this, who will dare to follow in the future?"
Ye Xiu chuckled to himself. This guy is spouting such grand, self-righteous words, but it’s all just to find a legitimate excuse to deal with An Dongye. A perfect pretense to make a move.
"What do you want?" An Dongye asked.
"You attacked Li Yuefeng and robbed him. I have to teach you a lesson," Lv Liang said. "How about this? Leave one hand behind and return Li Yuefeng’s money. Then we’ll consider this matter closed." As he spoke, he glanced at Ye Xiu. His aning was simple: he was trying to force Ye Xiu to stand up for An Dongye, giving him a reason to make a move on Ye Xiu as well.
"Fine. One hand it is. Go on, chop it off," An Dongye declared, placing her left hand on the table.
Lv Liang and everyone else present were stunned. No one had expected An Dongye to be so ruthless, willing to give up a hand just like that. In the next mont, however, they all turned to look at Ye Xiu with disdain. It was obvious he had co with An Dongye. For a man to watch his female companion about to lose a hand without saying a single word... What a coward! A wimp!
"Good! Very decisive!" Lv Liang snorted and shouted, "Soone, bring a knife!"
A security guard imdiately ran over with a machete. Lv Liang took it, glanced at Ye Xiu again, and then said to An Dongye, "Once I bring this blade down, you’ll only have one hand left. For such a pretty young girl to beco disabled... what a pity."
"Cut the crap and just do it!" An Dongye said impatiently.
Lv Liang’s brow furrowed. Ye Xiu still hadn’t said a word. Unable to wait any longer, he turned to him. "Sir, can you really bear to watch your friend lose a hand?"
"Hurry up and chop. I’m in a hurry to go eat skewers and drink beer," Ye Xiu urged.
Hearing this, Lv Liang was practically apoplectic. If Ye Xiu didn’t intervene, he had no reason to force him to cough up the 330 million. Looks like my only option is to send soone to follow him and rob him after he’s gone so distance.
With that thought, he said coldly, "Fine! In that case, don’t bla for being rciless!"
He then decisively swung the machete down onto An Dongye’s left wrist.
However, to everyone’s utter astonishnt, when Lv Liang’s blade fell, there was no spray of blood, no severed hand.
Instead, the machete stopped dead on An Dongye’s wrist as though it had struck solid steel, not even managing to cut a single strand of hair on her skin.
