At the sight of this, the tens of thousands of spectators held their breath, their eyes blazing with excitent. The battle had finally begun! They could finally witness Huang Quan’s strength with their own eyes.

Gaelin spat blood as he was sent flying backward, slamming into Yagyu Uemon dozens of ters away and sending him flying as well. At that mont, Gaelin was like a speeding truck. After hitting Yagyu Uemon, they both hurtled backward together for more than a hundred ters before finally stopping.
Gaelin and Yagyu Uemon both coughed up a mouthful of blood at the sa ti. Gaelin collapsed to the ground and instantly lost consciousness.

"Azure Dragon, take Gaelin to the Saint He dical College and turn him over to the Ghost Doctor," Ye Xiu commanded.
"But..." Azure Dragon asked awkwardly, "what if he wakes up on the way?"
"Even if he wakes up, he’ll be a cripple," Ye Xiu said.
His words sent a shockwave through the crowd.
Huang Quan crippled Gaelin with a single kick?
"Alright, I’ll go now!" Hearing that Gaelin was no longer a threat, Azure Dragon was relieved. He ran over, hoisted the unconscious Gaelin onto his shoulder, and sprinted away.
"You, get over here!" Ye Xiu pointed at Jim, the Sect Hierarch of the Xuan Ming Sect, and beckoned.
Jim shuddered, his face turning deathly pale, and he nearly wet himself. Still, he forced down his terror and stumbled over to Ye Xiu, trembling as he stamred, "Hu-Hu-Huang..."
SLAP!
Ye Xiu slapped him across the face. "Huang, my ass! Call Daddy."
Jim was stunned for a mont, then said excitedly, "Daddy!"
SLAP!
With another backhand, Ye Xiu sent Jim sprawling face-first. "I don’t have a dog for a son like you."
Jim lay on the ground, utterly bewildered.
Qing Luan and the others laughed so hard they could barely stand straight. Seeing Jim publicly humiliated by Ye Xiu brought them a deep sense of vindictive pleasure. Previously, Jim and Yagyu Uemon had forced the Eight Great National Protector War Gods into a suicidal situation and had even incited the War Gods of various nations to eliminate the Xuanse Martial Artists. Now, Huang Quan’s two slaps and public humiliation had served as vengeance on their behalf.
"Go about your business," Ye Xiu said before leaving in a hurry. He had to rush to the Saint He dical College to see for himself what was wrong with Gaelin.
"That scared for a second. I really thought Huang Quan was going to take you as his son. If that happened, who in the world would dare provoke the Xuan Ming Sect?" Bister teased.
"Hahahahaha..."
The tens of thousands of spectators roared with laughter.
Jim and the mbers of the Xuan Ming Sect were fuming, but they didn’t dare say a word. They simply couldn’t afford to offend Huang Quan.
"Take the injured and follow to the Saint He dical College! We’ll find Ye Xiu to treat them!" Jim ordered as he climbed to his feet.
"I’d advise you not to go to the Saint He dical College right now. Ye Xiu won’t treat any of you," Bister kindly reminded him.
"He wouldn’t dare!" Jim retorted coldly.
Qing Luan and the other National Protector War Gods were delighted to hear this. Jim was about to lead the mbers of the Xuan Ming Sect to their doom at Ye Xiu’s hands.
Qing Luan shot the other National Protector War Gods a look that said, "Let’s go watch the show," and hurriedly followed Jim’s group.
The other injured people also began to leave. Even the unconscious Yagyu Uemon was carried away. Gaelin’s rampage had killed and injured far too many people, and so of the severely wounded were in urgent need of treatnt.

When Ye Xiu arrived at the Saint He dical College, Azure Dragon had already delivered Gaelin to the Ghost Doctor.
Seeing Ye Xiu, the Ghost Doctor said, "Master, I think Gaelin is dying."
"Impossible. I controlled my strength perfectly," Ye Xiu stated.
"See for yourself!" the Ghost Doctor said.
Ye Xiu walked to the hospital bed and took Gaelin’s wrist to check his pulse. As he did, his expression grew grave.
"Master, what’s your diagnosis?" the Ghost Doctor asked.
"Gaelin has been poisoned with a strange toxin I’ve never heard of before. Furthermore, he has suffered severe blood loss, with less than a tenth of his body’s total blood remaining. An ordinary person would have already died from this," Ye Xiu said with a frown.
"But he doesn’t have any wounds. How could he have lost so much blood? Is it related to the poison?" the Ghost Doctor asked.
Ye Xiu didn’t answer him. Instead, he turned to Azure Dragon. "I need you to do two things for right now."
"Your orders, Master!" Azure Dragon said respectfully.
"First, find out who wasn’t at the gymnasium today," Ye Xiu said.
"That’s easy. I’ll just check who didn’t turn in their howork," Azure Dragon replied.
"Second, investigate everyone Gaelin has been in contact with since he arrived in Jin Ye City," Ye Xiu instructed.
"Understood! I’m on it!" Azure Dragon said before hurrying off.
Then, the Ghost Doctor asked, "Master, do you suspect soone poisoned Gaelin, and that the culprit is the one who wasn’t at the gymnasium today?"
Ye Xiu nodded. "Yes. The poison afflicting Gaelin is peculiar. If I’m not mistaken, it’s a strange toxin that forcibly stimulates a person’s potential, allowing them to break past their physical limits. The side effect, however, is that it burns through their life force and blood."
The Ghost Doctor was shocked. "Such a strange poison actually exists in this world?"
Ye Xiu didn’t reply. He squinted and asked, "What do you think the poisoner’s motive is?"
"Could the poisoner have wanted to use Gaelin to eliminate all the War Gods in the gymnasium?" the Ghost Doctor guessed.
"Unlikely," Ye Xiu explained. "Gaelin wouldn’t have been able to kill very many people before his blood was completely burned away. Besides, the poisoner knew I was in Jin Ye City and would definitely intervene. So, their goal wasn’t to use Gaelin to slaughter everyone in the gymnasium."
"Then what was the purpose of poisoning Gaelin?" the Ghost Doctor asked.
Ye Xiu didn’t know the answer.
After a mont of silence, his eyes lit up. "If this poison didn’t have side effects—if the victim didn’t lose their sanity and fall into a crazed state—then it would be an incredible weapon."
"Master, are you implying that the poisoner deliberately poisoned Gaelin to force you to decipher this strange poison?" the Ghost Doctor asked.
"If I were to develop an antidote for this strange poison," Ye Xiu mused, "then any War God could achieve a breakthrough at will. Afterward, they would just need a blood transfusion and so ti to recuperate."
"It seems the poisoner is indeed targeting you—or perhaps both of us—hoping we’ll be able to decipher the poison and create an antidote." The Ghost Doctor’s lips curled into a sinister smile. "In that case, why don’t we play along? Let’s decipher this poison and lure our culprit out into the open."
