"Last night, you saved without knowing who I was, despite the risk of offending the Lian family. You killed Lian Zhengrong’s bodyguard in public and forced Lian Zhengrong to strip-dance for everyone. I thought you were a reckless, impulsive person who acted without considering the consequences.
"You took to a hotel when I was drunk, but you didn’t touch . I thought you were a repressed man who had the desire but lacked the courage to act on it.

Listening to Shen Monong’s assessnt, Ye Xiu really wanted to crack open her skull to see what was inside. Was she insane? To say such things with one foot already in the Ghost Gate... Besides, her evaluation wasn’t even right!
"You should go now," he said. "The longer I’m around you, the more I feel my IQ dropping."
Shen Monong was startled. "You aren’t going to kill ?"
"The mortal realm is the Hell I am granting to you and the Shen family," Ye Xiu said coldly.
The Shen family, as mbers of the Long Family Alliance, were among the true culprits who had frad him and murdered his mother and grandparents ten years ago. He wouldn’t kill any mber of the Shen family so easily. Forcing them to live a life worse than death—that was the outco he wanted to see.
"If you can help rescue my father, I am willing to be your woman." Shen Monong didn’t leave. Instead, she struck a pose, as if ready to sacrifice her body. In her mind, no man could possibly resist her.
"In your dreams," Ye Xiu scoffed. "Do you really think I’m that desperate for you? Wake up!"
"You..." Stunned, Shen Monong asked in disbelief, "Am I not beautiful? Is my body not sexy? With my looks, any man would be tempted. It’s impossible that you haven’t felt a thing."
Ye Xiu just laughed. "Heh... heh... heh..."
"..." Shen Monong felt utterly humiliated, her pride and confidence suffering a double blow. Her greatest assets were completely worthless in Ye Xiu’s eyes.
"Shen Monong, you’ve disappointed greatly."
Just then, a sardonic voice rang out.
Ye Xiu, Shen Monong, and all the diners and staff in the restaurant turned toward the sound. A smug young man swaggered in, flanked by six bodyguards.
"Shen Tiangao?" Shen Monong’s brow furrowed slightly. "What are you doing here?"
Ye Xiu wasn’t surprised at all. He had noticed soone tailing their car on the way here. He just hadn’t known it was Shen Tiangao.
"I followed you, of course," Shen Tiangao boasted proudly.
"Followed ?" Shen Monong was baffled.
"Idiot!" Shen Tiangao scoffed, practically glowing with arrogance. "I knew you were the only one who could find this guy, so I’ve been secretly tailing you ever since you left the Shen estate. And you didn’t disappoint ; you really found him! My original plan was to let you poison him, then I’d swoop in and steal the credit. I just didn’t expect a failure like you to ss it up."
As he spoke, the six bodyguards he had brought with him quickly surrounded Ye Xiu. They all drew strange-looking guns, aid, and fired.
Net guns? Ye Xiu’s eyes hardened.
THWUMP! THWUMP! THWUMP!
Six net guns fired six nets. They all hit their mark, entangling Ye Xiu as if in a silkworm’s cocoon.
"This..." Shen Monong’s expression changed dramatically. She hadn’t expected the bodyguards to act without a direct order while Shen Tiangao was still talking. It seed he had already given them their orders before they even arrived.
A commotion erupted in the restaurant. The diners and waiters rose to their feet, looking anxiously at the scene unfolding around Ye Xiu. They had all heard Shen Tiangao’s loud pronouncents.
"Sir, please don’t cause trouble in our restaurant, or I’ll call the authorities," a waiter said as he approached.
CRACK!
Shen Tiangao swung a chair, smashing it over the waiter’s head. Instantly, blood gushed from the wound, and the waiter collapsed into a pool of his own blood.
A cold light flashed in Ye Xiu’s eyes. This bastard... involving an innocent bystander. He’s courting death!
Shen Tiangao’s brutal act terrified everyone. The diners and staff scrambled to flee outside.
"I’ll kill anyone who dares to run," Shen Tiangao said coldly.
The fleeing crowd froze. They instantly realized they were trapped with a dangerous madman, and a wave of anxiety washed over them.
"Shen Tiangao, you’re playing with fire," Ye Xiu said, his voice frigid.
"My hands are tied." Shen Tiangao shrugged, a twisted smile on his face. "No one can protect if I kill soone in public. So, after I kill you, I’ll have to kill everyone else here."
What? The diners and staff heard his plan to silence them by murdering them all. In an instant, many began to scream and cry out in terror.
"Shut up!" Shen Tiangao bellowed. "Anyone who makes another sound dies first!"
The restaurant fell silent. No one dared to even whimper, their faces etched with pure terror.
"You’ve done this kind of thing often, haven’t you?" Ye Xiu asked coldly.
"Of course," Shen Tiangao shrugged. "I’m quite skilled at it by now."
"Then you won’t be leaving here alive today," Ye Xiu stated, his killing intent fixed on Shen Tiangao.
"Pfft." Shen Tiangao burst out laughing. "You still don’t realize your own situation, do you? Your life is in my hands. How exactly are you going to stop from living?"
"Hmph. You think a few flimsy nets can hold ?" Ye Xiu said with disdain.
"No, no, no. Don’t underestimate these nets." Shen Tiangao waved his hand dismissively. "These nets are all made from a special material developed in the Shen family’s secret laboratory. A single net can restrain a Great Grandmaster. Six of them layered together can even trap a War God."
Ye Xiu’s pupils contracted. The Poison King had ntioned the Shen family’s secret laboratory before, but he hadn’t paid it much mind at the ti. It seed the lab had indeed produced so impressive things.
He was just about to use this opportunity to ask about the lab’s location when he suddenly saw Shen Monong drop to her knees.
"Shen Tiangao, please, I’m begging you, let have his body," she pleaded. "If I don’t bring his corpse back, Great-Grandfather will kill my father."
"What the hell do I care if your dad dies?" Shen Tiangao kicked Shen Monong to the ground. "Great-Grandfather said that whoever kills this kid and brings back his body will be inducted into the Main Lineage. Why would I give such a golden opportunity to soone else?"
Oh? Ye Xiu narrowed his eyes. From what Shen Tiangao was saying, it seed Shen Songshan had sent out all the collateral family mbers to kill him, promising to promote whoever succeeded to the Main Lineage. Interesting!
"But what about my father?" Shen Monong cried, tears of desperation streaming down her face. "How about this? You can tell Great-Grandfather that we killed him together. That way, you can join the Main Lineage and I can save my father. Please?"
"Dream on." Shen Tiangao kicked her over again. "My father, Shen Shihao, can no longer have children. Your father, Shen Shijie, is the only man in the Main Lineage capable of carrying on the family line. We, the collateral branches, will only have a chance to rise if he dies. I’m eager for him to die, so why would I ever save him?"
He drew a long blade, his voice turning cold and sharp. "In the third generation of the Shen family, your father is the only one left in the Main Lineage who can produce an heir. He’s finished. In the fourth generation, the only mbers of the Main Lineage are you and Shen Wanqiu. Only after you’re both dead and I’ve been inducted into the Main Lineage can I beco the future head of the Shen family, control all of Qingfeng Road, and eventually, the entire Qi Yun Dao!"
"So, go to hell!"
With that, he swung the blade at Shen Monong’s neck.
Seeing the cold steel arc toward her, absolute panic and despair flared in Shen Monong’s beautiful eyes. She had never imagined that Shen Tiangao intended to kill her as well. The other diners and staff, witnessing this, turned deathly pale. This man wasn’t just making threats—he was a real killer.
