"Happy?" Ye Xiu asked.
"Well, now that we’ve t, I have to seize the opportunity to befriend you. If you were a stern, humorless expert, I honestly wouldn’t know where to start," Jin Lian said with refreshing frankness, making her intentions clear.
"I’ll be waiting for you to make your move," Ye Xiu joked.
"Alright!" Jin Lian smiled. "Let’s go inside, then. Tonight’s gathering is going to be quite lively."
The Starry Sky Clubhouse was already bustling. Young masters and ladies from elite families, all dressed in lavish attire, carried themselves with an air of distinction. "My first day back in the country, and I get to see so many old friends. I’m truly flattered," Luo Qianjun said, chatting and joking with ease as he swirled the red wine in his glass.
