All the gamblers spun around to look in the direction Master Lu was pointing. With a single glance, they saw Ye Xiu. He was incredibly easy to spot. Aside from the event staff, every gambler at the Stone Gambling Festival was crowded around Master Lu. Only Ye Xiu stood alone, admiring the raw stones.
Wang Dazhuang? Fei Xiang nearly vomited blood. Dammit! This country bumpkin’s luck is way too good, becoming the first person Master Lu chooses to bless with his favor.
Jin Lian’s face lit up with ecstatic joy. She hadn’t expected Ye Xiu’s luck to be this good either!
The other gamblers were also dying of envy. To be chosen by Master Lu ant they were guaranteed to beco rich overnight.
However, the man of the hour, Ye Xiu, had no idea he had just hit the jackpot. He was still holding a raw stone, admiring it.
"Hey, kid, stop looking! Master Lu has chosen you!" soone shouted.
Ye Xiu remained completely oblivious, not realizing the person was calling out to him.
"Wang Dazhuang, cut the damn act," Fei Xiang huffed, jogging over. He gave Ye Xiu a push and said contemptuously, "I know you’re so happy you’re about to go crazy. If you want to laugh, just laugh. Why are you putting on an act?"
Ye Xiu was taken aback. "What act?"
At that mont, Master Lu strode over with an air of self-importance and announced condescendingly, "Young man, your luck is quite good. You will be the first person I help today."
Having said his piece, he waited expectantly for Ye Xiu’s tearful, profuse thanks.
Everyone else watched Ye Xiu with amusent, certain that upon realizing he’d won, he would be ecstatic, perhaps even cry tears of joy, and then excitedly thank Master Lu. However, Ye Xiu simply said casually, "Go help soone else. I don’t need it," continuing to fiddle with the raw stone in his hand.

The profound, mysterious smile on Master Lu’s face froze solid. The gamblers were all dumbfounded. Jin Lian and Fei Xiang were utterly stupefied.
"You don’t need it?" Master Lu finally reacted, his brow furrowing.
Every gambler present had been screaming themselves hoarse for a chance to be the lucky one. And this kid... didn’t need it?
"Young man, you ca here to gamble on stones because you harbor the desire to find a treasure," Master Lu said, taking a deep breath as if his heart was breaking. "I see that you are young and cannot bear to watch you end up empty-handed. That is why I kindly offered my guidance. You should think this through carefully and not waste my good intentions."
Empty-handed? Ye Xiu chuckled internally. If I believe you, *that’s* when I’ll end up empty-handed. There are so many fools here for you to scam, yet you single out. Are you asking for trouble?
"Wang Dazhuang, for Master Lu to choose you is a sign of incredible luck, as if green smoke were rising from your ancestral tomb! Don’t be so ungrateful."
"Is Wang Dazhuang out of his mind? A chance to get rich overnight is staring him in the face, and he’s turning it down. Is he a moron?"

"What a complete fool. If Master Lu had chosen , I would have been laughing hysterically by now..."
The gamblers stared at Ye Xiu as if he were an idiot, a monster, a moron, a total imbecile.
Who was Master Lu? He was Master Heavenly Eye, a legend who could turn stone into gold! Everyone was scrambling to be favored by him, willing to pay any price, yet this kid claid he didn’t need it. There was definitely sothing wrong with his brain!
"Ye... Wang Dazhuang!" Jin Lian walked over and urged him anxiously, "To receive Master Lu’s favor is an incredible stroke of luck. You must reconsider."
She refrained from saying it was an honor. Truthfully, if anyone present knew Ye Xiu’s real identity, they would probably think that Master Lu was the one being honored by getting to help him. After all, compared to the influence and prestige of the Divine Doctor, Master Lu was a complete nobody.
"Wang Dazhuang, is your head full of crap?" Fei Xiang roared, his voice thick with envy, jealousy, and hatred. "You’re so damn broke you’re practically chewing on your own cheek for at! Master Lu is handing you a fortune, and you refuse him in public, showing him such disrespect! You... you’re making furious!"
Ye Xiu looked at Fei Xiang expressionlessly. "Fei Chouchou, shut up."
Fei Xiang fell silent.
Seeing Fei Xiang quieted, Ye Xiu turned to Master Lu. "Master, I really..."
"Do not be so quick to decide!" Master Lu interrupted, adopting the magnanimous air of a world savior. "It is not easy for your parents to earn money. If you make the wrong bet, you will be throwing their hard-earned money into the sea. I chose you not for any personal gain, but because I cannot bear to see you squander your parents’ savings."
His words deeply moved the onlooking gamblers.

Fei Xiang opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing. He was afraid Ye Xiu would just shut him down again, and he was still seething from the last exchange. Besides, a part of him hoped Ye Xiu would continue to refuse; he certainly didn’t want to see him get rich.
"Master Lu, how about this?" Ye Xiu said, realizing the master had latched onto him and resorting to a delay tactic. "You can help soone else first and allow so ti to consider it. After you’re done with them, I’ll decide if I need your help. How does that sound?"
"Very well!" Master Lu agreed readily.
At this, Fei Xiang quickly stepped forward. "Master Lu, I am Fei Xiang, the young master of the Fei Family from Yunluo City. Please, help choose a raw stone. I will reward you generously."
"Oh?" Master Lu looked surprised. "What is your relation to Fei Yihong?"
"He is my grandfather!" Fei Xiang exclaid excitedly, shocked that Master Lu knew his grandfather.
"So, you are the grandson of an old friend." Master Lu’s gaze towards Fei Xiang softened with kindness. "Your grandfather and I are old friends. I never expected to et his grandson here today. Good, very good. Fei Xiang, in light of my long friendship with your grandfather, I will help you select ten raw stones today."
HISS!
Upon hearing this, the gamblers all sucked in a sharp breath. Getting a single raw stone right was enough to beco rich overnight. Ten stones! That could turn soone into a multimillionaire, even a billionaire! In an instant, every gambler was burning with envy and jealousy for Fei Xiang.
"Haha, thank you so much, Grandpa Lu!" Fei Xiang was so overjoyed he was practically floating. He bowed his thanks, his form of address changing imdiately.
Watching him look so smug and arrogant, Ye Xiu had to fight the urge to kick him.
"Then let us begin!" Master Lu said, taking Fei Xiang’s hand with the warmth and affection one would show a grandson as they started to select the stones.
Ye Xiu followed them curiously. He was determined to see what Master Lu was really made of, having a nagging feeling that the man was a fraud.
