"Don’t reveal my identity yet," Ye Xiu reminded her.

So my cousin wants to act cool? Fine, I’ll play along... Kong Ruoruo nodded and waved. "Ling Yun, over here!"

"Ruoruo, who’s this?" Ling Yun walked over, motioning for her to introduce Ye Xiu. Once I find out who this guy is, I’ll get soone to beat him up later.

"He’s my classmate. His na is..." Kong Ruoruo couldn’t think of a na on the spot, so she asked Ye Xiu, "What’s your na?"

"I’m not calling for anyone!" Ye Xiu replied.

Kong Ruoruo looked on in exasperation. Heh, cousin, could you please try to be a little more normal... She clarified, "I’m asking what your na is."

Ye Xiu thought for a mont. "My na is Ye Liangchen!"

Kong Ruoruo was speechless. Right, nice to et you, Cousin Ye Liangchen. And I’m your cousin, Long Aotian.

Ling Yun stared at Ye Xiu as if he were an idiot. From their brief exchange, he concluded that this "Ye Liangchen" was a hopelessly dense straight man, and not very bright either. He forced a smile. "Classmate Ye Liangchen, Ruoruo and I have sothing to discuss. You can go on about your business." The subtext was clear: get lost.

"I’m not busy!" Ye Xiu replied. "You two talk. I won’t interrupt."

This gave Ling Yun an even clearer picture of Ye Liangchen; the guy had zero social awareness. He decided to ignore Ye Xiu and turned to Kong Ruoruo. "Ruoruo, let’s go."

"There’s no rush. The ga isn’t over yet," Kong Ruoruo said, gesturing toward the soccer field.

A flash of annoyance and impatience crossed Ling Yun’s face. He thought the amateurish ga wasn’t worth watching at all. "Ruoruo, if you like watching soccer, I’ll take you to a professional match next ti."

"You like soccer too?" Kong Ruoruo asked.

"Yes, I love it," Ling Yun said, pandering to her interest.

"So you know how to play?" she asked.

"Of course. I even have my own team. How about I get the guys together tomorrow and we can play a friendly match for you?" Ling Yun suggested.

"But I want to see you play now," Kong Ruoruo pouted playfully. "Why don’t you go down there and play for a bit? I want to see your skills."

"Well..." Ling Yun hesitated. He wasn’t dressed for soccer. Besides, on such a hot day, he’d be drenched in sweat. How could he pick up girls like that?

"I knew it. You were just bragging. You can’t actually play," Kong Ruoruo said, casually employing so reverse psychology.

Ling Yun’s pride was stung. As an expert in seduction, he knew the dire consequences of being seen as all talk. "Fine," he said. "Since you want to see it, Ruoruo, I’ll go play a little."

He then walked over to the field to negotiate with the students. Whatever he said, they actually agreed, and Ling Yun joined their ga.

"He’s that good?" Kong Ruoruo was stunned when Ling Yun scored with a long shot the mont he got on the field.

"He’s a Martial Artist, a Fourth Grade one at that. Soccer is nothing to him," Ye Xiu explained.

So that’s how it is! Understanding dawned on Kong Ruoruo. She said playfully, "Cousin Ye Liangchen, aren’t you going to go out there and play a little, too?"

"That was the plan!" Ye Xiu stood up and walked toward the field.

The students on the field were already awestruck by Ling Yun’s skills; they had never seen anyone so good.

"You look tired. Want to take over as goalie for a bit?" Ye Xiu said, walking up to the goalkeeper on the opposing team.

The goalkeeper glanced at Ye Xiu. "Yeah, I could use a break. You can sub in for !" he replied. He then shouted to the others on the field, "This guy is taking my place as keeper!"

The other players just glanced at Ye Xiu and didn’t object. It wasn’t a professional match, so mid-ga substitutions were normal.

When Ling Yun saw "Ye Liangchen" brazenly enter the ga as a goalkeeper, his competitive spirit flared. I’ll let Ruoruo see for herself just how pathetic this Ye Liangchen guy really is.

Just then, a teammate passed him the ball. Ling Yun dribbled past player after player, showing off all kinds of flashy moves. No one could stop him. From more than ten ters out, Ling Yun unleashed a powerful kick. It was a wickedly difficult shot. He was absolutely certain Ye Liangchen couldn’t stop it.

However, with a WHOOSH, Ye Xiu leaped more than a ter to the left and caught the incoming ball.

"What...?" Ling Yun was stunned. How can this guy be so good at goalkeeping?

The students and the substituted goalkeeper erupted in an uproar. Though not professionals, they knew enough about soccer to understand how incredible Ling Yun’s shot had been and how difficult it should have been to save. Yet Ye Xiu had blocked it with such ease. Damn! Are these two guys professionals or sothing?

"Your technique is pretty weak," Ye Xiu sneered at Ling Yun, casually tossing the ball back into play.

Ling Yun was enraged. "So you stopped one shot! It was pure luck. You won’t stop the next one!" he said coldly.

From that point on, the match beca a personal duel between Ye Xiu and Ling Yun. Whenever the ball ca to Ling Yun’s feet, no one could take it from him. Even when the other team had it, he could steal it back with ease.

But that wasn’t what truly shocked the students. What truly amazed them were Ye Xiu’s goalkeeping skills. No matter how Ling Yun shot, or from what angle, Ye Xiu always managed to make the save.

After more than a dozen shots in a row, Ling Yun was starting to break down. Is this Ye Liangchen guy the Hand of God or sothing?

"Your shooting technique is terrible. How about you be the goalie, and I’ll take a few shots?" Ye Xiu suggested mockingly.

"Sure!" Ling Yun agreed imdiately. With his strength as a Fourth Grade Martial Artist, he couldn’t go all out as a forward; a slight exertion of his power could make the soccer ball explode. But goalkeeping was different. He could unleash his full abilities, and with him in the goal, no one was going to score.

"I’ll be the goalie," Ling Yun said confidently. "If you can score a single goal, I’ll call you Dad!"

"Deal. Looks like I’m getting a son for free," Ye Xiu shrugged.

"You...!" Ling Yun was seeing red.

The ga restarted. Ling Yun and the students suddenly realized that Ye Xiu’s skills on the field were every bit as good as Ling Yun’s. The mont play began, Ye Xiu stole the ball. Then, sothing happened that left everyone speechless.

After getting the ball, from dozens of ters away, Ye Xiu prepared for a long-distance shot.

"Idiot!" Ling Yun cursed when he saw Ye Xiu preparing to shoot from so far away. But the mont Ye Xiu’s foot connected with the ball, Ling Yun’s expression changed drastically.

From dozens of ters away, the ball crossed the distance in the blink of an eye. It was moving so fast that he, a Fourth Grade Martial Artist, didn’t even have ti to react, let alone block it. Worse, the damn ball was coming straight for him!

THWACK!

The soccer ball slamd into Ling Yun’s chest, lifting him off his feet and sending him flying back into the goal along with the ball.

PFFT...

After crashing to the ground, Ling Yun coughed up a mouthful of blood. He felt as if every bone in his chest had been shattered. This Ye Liangchen isn’t playing soccer; he’s trying to kill with the ball!
