"HA, HAHAHA..." Wang Yue, his face bruised and swollen, burst into laughter. "Ye Xiu, have you eaten too much and gone soft in the head? How dare you try to jack up the price on us? Believe when I say that with a single order, I can have the Long and Ye Families beat you half to death before forcing you to heal us."
Ye Xiu shrugged. "You can try."
"So you’ve chosen the hard way." Wang Yue’s eyes hardened as he said to the Dragon Head, "Beat him half to death first."
"Alright!" The Dragon Head nodded, pointing his blade at Ye Xiu threateningly. "Ye Xiu, I advise you to heal us obediently. If this cos to blows, you’ll be the one who suffers."
Ye Tianming, the second, third, fourth, and fifth brothers of the Long Family, and all the mbers of the Long and Ye Families in the corridor who had been beaten to a pulp by Wu Yiping, all adopted nacing combat stances. It was clear they would attack the mont Ye Xiu refused to treat them for free.
Seeing this, Qin Qing, An Dongye, and Chloe tensed up. It wasn’t that they were afraid of these people; forgetting Ye Xiu for a mont, Chloe alone could beat the ever-living crap out of them. The real problem was that starting a fight would an putting Ye Xiu and the three Judicator Families on completely opposite sides. However, they also knew that Ye Xiu would never compromise and offer his services for free.
"Give it a rest. Enough with your empty threats," Ye Xiu said with a look of utter contempt. "I’m a doctor. I can see exactly how serious your injuries are. You’d be lucky to exert sixty percent of your peak strength right now. Go on, I dare you to try sothing."
At his words, Qin Qing, Chloe, and An Dongye burst out laughing. They realized Ye Xiu had seen through their opponents’ bluff all along.
Aside from Wang Yue and the mbers of the Wang Family, the Dragon Head, Ye Tianming, and the others from the Long and Ye Families flushed with embarrassnt, their true condition exposed.
"Is what he said true?" Wang Yue asked the Dragon Head, who simply nodded.
Exasperated, Wang Yue demanded, "Even if you’re injured and can’t use your full power, there are so many of you! Are you telling you can’t even handle Ye Xiu alone?"
"Ye Xiu possesses strength beyond that of a War God," the Dragon Head explained. "Of the three won with him, two are also stronger than War Gods, and the third’s strength is unknown. If we were to fight for real, we’d have to sacrifice our own n just to wear them down. What’s more, if they decided to flee, we wouldn’t be able to stop them."
Hearing this, Wang Yue nearly had a heart attack. He had swaggered in with Ye Tianming, the Dragon Head, and the senior mbers of the Long Family, intent on snatching the Marrow Cleansing Pill. "You don’t know shit!" Wang Yue roared, spraying spittle in Ye Tianming’s face. "The wealthy benefactors from across the country who want to join the sponsor group, along with so foreign tycoons, have already arrived in Yunluo City. I promised to host a banquet for them tonight. Are you suggesting I et and negotiate with them looking like this?"
Ye Tianming wiped the saliva from his face, his lungs practically bursting with rage. The Ye Family was stronger than the Wang Family, and they were an Ancient Martial Family. In the past, Wang Yue had treated him with fawning respect, but now that he was the chief sponsor, he dared to curse him out in public. Yet, as furious as he was, Ye Tianming didn’t dare offend the current Wang Yue, especially not openly.
"Ten million each. Are you getting treated or not? If not, we’re leaving," Ye Xiu pressed.
"You’re ruthless!" Wang Yue glared at Ye Xiu, his teeth clenched. "Fine, I’ll pay the ten million. You can heal now."
"Paynt first, treatnt after. No credit!" Ye Xiu said with a smile, holding out a bank card.
Gritting his teeth, Wang Yue took the card and transferred the ten million on the spot.
"What are you all gawking at? Transfer the money!" Ye Xiu urged with a grin, looking at Ye Tianming and the Dragon Head.
Ye Tianming transferred the funds with great reluctance. The Dragon Head, however, only paid for himself, the other senior mbers of the Long Family, and all the Second Realm War Gods. As for the injured First Realm War Gods, they could heal on their own; it wasn’t worth the expense. The truth was, the Dragon Head was extrely poor at the mont. He had just sold the assets of the Long Family’s fourteen branches at a steep discount, netting only two billion. He simply couldn’t bear to spend so much money on treating First Realm War Gods. It was far too expensive!
"Stop dawdling and get started!" Wang Yue said impatiently once he saw Ye Xiu had collected all the money.
"Alright!" Ye Xiu sent a text ssage to Wang Yue. "I’ve sent the prescription for your swollen faces to your phone. Go get the dicine yourself."
Wang Yue and the others were completely stunned. "You’re not going to treat us personally?" he asked.
"Do you deserve it?" Ye Xiu’s face turned to ice, and his voice dropped to a freezing temperature. With that, he turned and left with Qin Qing, An Dongye, and Chloe.
Wang Yue and his group were so enraged they nearly fainted. Ten million each, just for a prescription? He should have said so earlier! If he had, only one of them would have needed to pay.
"A colossal humiliation! In all my life, I, Wang Yue, have never suffered such a huge loss!" Wang Yue roared.
Ye Tianming seized the opportunity to add fuel to the fire. "Ye Xiu is obviously toying with us and scamming our money on purpose! We must report this to the three Judicator Families."
"Are you an idiot?" The Dragon Head shot Ye Tianming a contemptuous glare. "The Judicator Families aren’t going to hunt down Ye Xiu over a petty sum of money."
Ye Tianming was left speechless. He didn’t dare show any temper when the Dragon Head berated him. He couldn’t fight him, and he certainly couldn’t afford to provoke him.
At that mont, Wang Yue spoke through gritted teeth, "Tomorrow night, we’re all going to the auction at Ming Feng Tower. We will bid whatever it takes to get Ye Xiu’s address in Yunluo City. I will grind his bones to dust and tear him into a million pieces."
"Are you sure you won’t enrage the three Judicator Families by openly swindling the Wang, Ye, and Long Families like that?" Qin Qing asked with concern after they got in the car.
"Right now, even if I massacred the Wang, Ye, and Long Families, the three Judicator Families wouldn’t say a word," Ye Xiu said with a smile. Before Qin Qing could ask why, he continued, "I’ve already contacted Baishan Jun, the Valley Master of dicine King Valley. I will be joining the valley as the master of both him and Gu Mufeng. In other words, I am now an official mber of the Totem Organization. In terms of status, the Wang, Ye, and Long Families are far beneath ."
Qin Qing, An Dongye, and Chloe exchanged stunned glances. They never would have imagined Ye Xiu would make such a move. It was absolutely brilliant.
"What’s your plan now?" Qin Qing asked.
"I’m going to show you all the best of Yunluo City, so we can attend tomorrow night’s auction at Ming Feng Tower in high spirits." A ruthless smile touched Ye Xiu’s lips.
Seeing that expression, Qin Qing knew instantly that Ye Xiu was planning to unleash a Big Move at the auction. Her anticipation soared.
