The mont the crowd realized who had arrived, the cocktail party erupted. Aside from Ye Xiu, the eyes of every other man present blazed with fervor. They had co to Luo Qiwei’s party for the sole purpose of seeing her.
The won who had accompanied their partners instinctively clutched their n’s arms, as if terrified their souls would be seduced away. Despite this, their gazes remained fixed on Gong Jin, their faces and eyes filled with envy, jealousy, and hatred.
"The number one beauty of Jin Ye City truly lives up to her reputation!"
Qin Qing sighed and rushed over to Ye Xiu’s side. Facing Gong Jin, she felt a sense of pressure for the first ti in ten years, as if Ye Xiu might leave her at any mont.
She had heard about Gong Jin before. This woman not only possessed unparalleled beauty but was also extraordinary in her intellect, cunning, thods, abilities, and connections—far beyond those of any ordinary person. At these words, everyone turned to look at Luo Qiwei with skepticism. It was common knowledge that although Gong Jin was the master of Ming Feng Tower, she was notoriously elusive and rarely made public appearances. Soone had once offered 100 million just to have her make an appearance and lend prestige to their event, but she had ruthlessly refused. This was a woman who couldn’t be swayed by money. Yet, Luo Qiwei had managed to invite her. Instantly, everyone grew curious as to how he had accomplished it.

Luo Qiwei was so delighted he could have wagged his tail. Having Gong Jin attend his party was not only an honor but also indirectly boosted his status. He hurriedly jogged over to greet her, saying deferentially, "Miss Gong, it’s a trendous honor that you’ve graced my party with your presence."
"You’re too kind, Young Master Luo," Gong Jin replied with a charming smile.
That smile alone captivated every man present, except for Ye Xiu and Yang Guofu.
Ye Xiu was simply uninterested in her. Yang Guofu, on the other hand, was internally rattled. He would have never dread that Luo Qiwei and Gong Jin actually knew each other. Recalling the harsh words he had just hurled at Luo Qiwei, Yang Guofu started to panic.
If Luo Qiwei says just one word, Gong Jin might blacklist and the Yang Family!
"Young Master Luo, what was that commotion earlier?" Gong Jin asked. Her tone, expression, and gaze were perfectly calm, showing no trace of emotion.
"Ah? Oh, it’s like this," Luo Qiwei said, quickly gathering his wits. He pointed at Ye Xiu and lodged his complaint. "This pretty boy isn’t a mber of Ming Feng Tower, but he snuck in by pretending to be Zhu Xiaowen’s cousin. I was just about to have him thrown out."
Hearing this, everyone broke into a cold sweat for Ye Xiu. With the master of Ming Feng Tower personally intervening, he wouldn’t just be thrown out; he might even be crippled. Such things had happened before. Anyone who had been personally dealt with by Gong Jin was now left disabled.
Qin Qing’s palms grew slick with nervous sweat. She wasn’t worried about Gong Jin having soone beat Ye Xiu up; even the combined force of Ming Feng Tower’s security guards would be no match for him. She was worried about Gong Jin’s power. Ming Feng Tower, the world’s foremost intelligence agency under her command, possessed formidable strength, reach, and influence. If Gong Jin was determined to move against Ye Xiu, his situation could beco even more difficult than it was ten years ago.
"Oh? Is that so?" Gong Jin walked up to Ye Xiu, eyeing him with keen interest from head to toe. "You’re quite handso!"
"You don’t have to state the obvious," Ye Xiu replied demurely.
Gong Jin was speechless.
Everyone else was, too.
Qin Qing suddenly panicked. Has Gong Jin taken a fancy to Ye Xiu? She quickly stepped in front of Ye Xiu, looking as if she were ready to fight Gong Jin to the death.
anwhile, Luo Qiwei and the others were completely dumbfounded. They had all expected Gong Jin to reprimand Ye Xiu before having him crippled and tossed out. Instead, she had actually complinted his looks.
"He really is handso. The more I look, the more handso he gets," Gong Jin said, her gaze fixed on Ye Xiu’s face with a look of utter infatuation. "On account of that handso face, I’ll make an exception and allow you to co and go from Ming Feng Tower as you please from now on."
At this, everyone’s eyes widened and their jaws dropped in disbelief.
Damn! This pretty boy actually won over Gong Jin with his looks?!
They had lived for half a century and had never before seen soone resolve a perilous situation with their appearance alone.

Luo Qiwei’s expression was a sight to behold. He thought Gong Jin would help him throw Ye Xiu out, but instead, she had helped Ye Xiu slap him in the face.
"Alright, that’s enough staring. It’s getting a bit much," Qin Qing couldn’t help but say when she saw Gong Jin was still fixated on Ye Xiu.
"Ahem..." Gong Jin cleared her throat, embarrassed, and turned to Ye Xiu. "I’m not fond of crowds. Shall we go to my office to chat?"
The crowd erupted. Gong Jin was actually extending a public invitation?
My God, what kind of insane luck did this pretty boy have?
"He’s not available," Qin Qing decisively refused on Ye Xiu’s behalf.
"I am!" Ye Xiu flashed a slight smile. Seeing the dark look on Qin Qing’s face, he quickly added, "Let’s go together."
Only then did Qin Qing breathe a sigh of relief. With there, Gong Jin wouldn’t dare try anything, right?
"This way, please," Gong Jin said with a gracious smile, leading the way.
Ye Xiu and Qin Qing followed behind her.
As the crowd watched their retreating backs, the faces of all the n were filled with envy and jealousy. At that mont, they all wished they were Ye Xiu so they could go to the office for a ’private chat’ with her.
"Young Master Yang, it seems your little sche has fallen through!" Zhu Xiaowen said to Yang Guofu with a sneer.
"What’s there to be proud of? He got out of trouble by using his looks," Yang Guofu spat viciously, his heart filled with hatred. The Zhu Family was on the verge of being blacklisted by Ming Feng Tower, but so pretty boy had to ruin everything!
That damned pretty boy! Just you wait!
"Young Master Luo..." Zhu Xiaowen then turned to Luo Qiwei, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "It looks like Gong Jin wasn’t here for your party after all. If Brother Ye were to say a few bad things about you to her, I’m afraid you and the Zuo Family would be blacklisted by Ming Feng Tower."
Her words made everyone look at Luo Qiwei with amusent. Previously, they had thought he and Gong Jin were on good terms. Now, however, it seed Gong Jin wasn’t here to support him at all. After all, she left with Ye Xiu as soon as she arrived without even saying goodbye.
"Do you think Gong Jin is a fool? Would she give up a major client like the Zuo Family for so pretty boy?" Luo Qiwei retorted stubbornly.
"And what if Gong Jin only blacklists you?" Zhu Xiaowen asked.
"That..." Luo Qiwei panicked. Banning the Zuo Family, a major client of Ming Feng Tower, would require careful consideration from Gong Jin. Banning him alone, however, probably wouldn’t even warrant a second thought.
