Luo Qiwei was overjoyed. Qin Qing’s family doesn’t live here, which ans this place is all hers? If I marry her, couldn’t I live here too? He grew excited.

Following Qin Qing inside the mansion, Luo Qiwei was instantly astonished by the decor and furnishings. As a mber of the Zuo Family, he had visited many wealthy hos, but he had never seen one this magnificent. It’s too luxurious! Too decadent!

"Qin Qing, how much did you spend decorating this villa?" Luo Qiwei asked, feigning nonchalance as he surveyed the opulence of the living room.

"Not much, just a few hundred million," Qin Qing replied breezily. "Young Master Luo, what would you like to drink?"

"Coffee is fine," Luo Qiwei said, but his mind was reeling. The decorations alone cost hundreds of millions? My heavens! The Qin Corporation hasn’t just been developing well these past few years—it’s practically beco one of the new aristocratic families of Jin Ye City! He grew even more excited.

He casually picked up a small decorative vase. "To spend so much on decor only to display this piece of junk... it really cheapens the place."

"That’s an antique," Qin Qing stated.

Luo Qiwei was speechless. After a mont of stunned silence, he asked, "Don’t tell all the decorations in the living room are antiques, are they?"

"None of them are worth less than a million," Qin Qing said nonchalantly.

Luo Qiwei’s heart skipped a beat. He gave the room a cursory glance and saw countless decorative pieces. Does that an these decorations alone are worth at least several hundred million? Heavens, the Qin Family is obscenely wealthy! This revelation solidified his determination to marry Qin Qing.

"By the way, Qin Qing, what did you and that pretty boy talk about in Gong Jin’s office last night?" Luo Qiwei asked, shifting the topic as if making casual small talk.

This was his true reason for coming. At the reception last night, he and Yang Guofu had been on tenterhooks, terrified that Ye Xiu would persuade Gong Jin to blacklist him and the Yang Family. Yet, until the party ended, there had been no word from Ming Feng Tower, which only made him more curious. What exactly did Ye Xiu and Gong Jin discuss in that office?

"Nothing much. We were only in Gong Jin’s office for a few minutes before we left," Qin Qing said, walking over with his coffee. "Young Master Luo, let’s sit and chat."

"Of course," Luo Qiwei replied, taking the cup. He waited for Qin Qing to sit, intending to take the spot beside her, but she imdiately stood and moved to the seat opposite him.

This infuriated him. I’m doing you a favor by sitting next to you, and you have the audacity to reject ? Just wait until I marry you. I’ll show you how to be obedient then. On the surface, however, he simply smiled and asked, "That pretty boy didn’t badmouth in front of Gong Jin, did he?"

"He didn’t." Qin Qing shook her head. So that was his real reason for coming here. She inwardly scorned his pettiness but offered so sincere advice. "Young Master Luo, I can guess why you’ve returned to the country. If you want to succeed, you shouldn’t make enemies so easily. This is especially true for the ’pretty boy’ you ntioned. You should lower yourself a bit and try to get on his good side."

"Of course I don’t make enemies easily," Luo Qiwei said haughtily. "But a re pretty boy like him isn’t worthy of my friendship."

"Suit yourself," Qin Qing said, too weary to press the matter further.

Just then, Ye Xiu returned. He was startled for a mont to see Luo Qiwei. "We have a guest."

"You?" Luo Qiwei erupted in fury upon seeing Ye Xiu. He shot to his feet and berated him, "Who allowed you to co here? A pretty boy like you, what right do you have to set foot in this house?"

Ye Xiu was taken aback. He turned to Qin Qing and asked, "You didn’t tell him?"

"You never gave permission, so I didn’t," Qin Qing replied with a shrug.

Luo Qiwei looked from Ye Xiu to Qin Qing. "What are you two talking about?"

"Young Master Luo, allow to make an introduction," Qin Qing said, standing and walking to Ye Xiu’s side. "This is my husband."

"What? You’re married?" Luo Qiwei’s expression changed drastically, but he still didn’t regard Ye Xiu any differently.

"We’ve only registered the marriage and haven’t held the ceremony yet, so not many people know," Qin Qing explained.

Luo Qiwei felt as if he had just eaten a pile of crap. A mont ago, he was plotting how to marry Qin Qing, only to learn she was already soone else’s wife. His dreams were shattered. Unwilling to accept it, he said, "Qin Qing, you’ve been too reckless! Don’t let his looks deceive you. He’s handso, but he’s good for nothing! He only married you to get his hands on the Qin Family’s fortune."

Qin Qing gave a cold smile. "Young Master Luo, you’re mistaken. His family’s assets are countless tis greater than the Qin Family’s. In fact, this mansion, and even this entire island, belong to him."

"This..." Luo Qiwei was dumbfounded. My head is buzzing... I feel like I’ve just been slapped in the face. The pretty boy I’ve been looking down on since yesterday is actually a hidden tycoon? At that mont, Luo Qiwei, who had felt so superior to Ye Xiu, suddenly felt utterly dwarfed by him.

Defiantly, he said, "He’s just so rich second-generation heir. A typical spoiled brat."

"He’s first-generation wealthy," Qin Qing corrected him. "I suppose you don’t know who my husband is, do you, Young Master Luo?"

"Who is he?" Luo Qiwei asked.

"Ye Xiu," Qin Qing stated simply.

"Ye..." Luo Qiwei trailed off, the na sounding familiar. In the next instant, realization dawned, and he exclaid in shock, "The Xuanse dicine King, Ye Xiu, from all those years ago?"

Qin Qing nodded.

Luo Qiwei’s confidence crumbled. He had planned to mock Ye Xiu for being a second-generation heir with no personal rits, but it turned out Qin Qing’s husband was *the* Ye Xiu. This was the prodigy crowned the Xuanse dicine King at sixteen. Even with a tarnished reputation, he was still a genius, and now, an incredibly wealthy one at that. Luo Qiwei suddenly realized that compared to Ye Xiu, he had absolutely no advantage whatsoever.

Ignoring Luo Qiwei completely, Qin Qing turned to Ye Xiu and asked anxiously, "How did it go? Did you manage to connect with Huang Quan?"

Before Ye Xiu could answer, Luo Qiwei interjected, "Did you just go to the airport to pick up Huang Quan? You should have told sooner! There’s no need to go to the airport to et him."

"From the sound of it, you know Huang Quan," Ye Xiu said with a smile.

Qin Qing’s face lit up as she looked at Luo Qiwei.

"Of course! I’ve known Huang Quan for a long ti. We often get together for drinks when we have ti. My relationship with him is far closer than you could possibly imagine," Luo Qiwei boasted.

Ye Xiu was astonished. What an incredible bullshitter. If lying were a cri, he’d deserve death by a thousand cuts.

Qin Qing, however, believed him completely. "Young Master Luo," she asked excitedly, "could you introduce Huang Quan to Ye Xiu?"

"That’s no problem at all. It’s a simple matter of a phone call for ," Luo Qiwei said, his sense of superiority returning in full force. "In fact," he boasted, "I’ll call him right now. I can take you to see him this afternoon."

As he spoke, he took out his phone and made a show of dialing Huang Quan’s number.
