Luo Qiwei collapsed onto the ground, his face a mask of despair and regret.
He had intended to tarnish Ye Xiu by manipulating public opinion, but instead, Ye Xiu had turned the tables on him, severing his hopes of contending for the family fortune. He had truly lifted a rock only to drop it on his own feet.

Just then, the manager ran over holding a USB drive. "Divine Doctor Ye," he said, "I only took screenshots of Luo Qiwei and Dragon Hollyhock sitting together, not you. I’ve also deleted all the original surveillance footage."

Those words were a harsh slap across Luo Qiwei’s face. Now, even his hope of dragging Ye Xiu down with him was completely dashed.
"Thank you!" Ye Xiu accepted the USB drive and looked around at the diners, announcing, "You must all be curious why Luo Qiwei is targeting , right? Ye Xiu didn’t care what others thought of him, but he worried this incident might cause trouble for Murong, so it was better to clear the air.

They planned to wait for him to finish his al and co out so they could plead with him not to give the surveillance footage to the Zuo Family.
"Teacher Ye, I’m sorry. I dragged you into this," Murong apologized, her eyes welling with tears. She had been terrified earlier, fearing the news of her dining with Ye Xiu at a couple’s restaurant would blow up.
"It’s okay. Don’t take it to heart," Ye Xiu consoled her.
Despite his words, Murong couldn’t forgive herself. After all, she knew it was a couple’s restaurant, yet she had overlooked Ye Xiu’s fa and the fact that he was married.
Soon, their steaks and other dishes arrived. Ye Xiu ate with gusto, but Murong could hardly taste her food.
After their al, as the two of them walked out of the restaurant, Dragon Hollyhock and Luo Qiwei ran over.
"Divine Doctor Ye, could you please not give the surveillance footage to the Zuo Family?" Dragon Hollyhock asked, her tone almost pleading.
"Ye Xiu, just na your price. As long as you sell the USB drive, I’ll pay whatever you ask," Luo Qiwei said with an air of extravagance.
"Alright. Give a hundred million, and I’ll give you the USB drive," Ye Xiu said.
Dragon Hollyhock and Luo Qiwei were ecstatic. A hundred million was a lot of money, but it was a drop in the bucket compared to the Zuo Family’s fortune.
"Give your account number," Luo Qiwei said.
"Okay!" Ye Xiu imdiately gave him his account number.
The transfer was completed in an instant. The money arrived imdiately.
"Alright, the money’s been transferred. Now give the USB drive," Luo Qiwei said.

Ye Xiu slapped Luo Qiwei hard across the face. "I’ll give you jack shit!"
With that, he turned and left with Murong.
Luo Qiwei was dumbfounded, his head buzzing.
Fuck! I was scamd out of a hundred million and got slapped for nothing? I’ve never made such a disastrous deal in my entire life!
Dragon Hollyhock watched Ye Xiu’s receding figure with a grave expression. After this "clash," she realized Ye Xiu was a lawless, cunning rogue who paid no mind to his halo as the dicine King. A man like that did whatever he pleased, had almost no weaknesses, and was incredibly difficult to deal with.

Ye Xiu and Murong took a taxi to the Waterfront Mansion sales office.
Along the way, Murong laughed so hard she could barely sit up straight. She couldn’t believe Ye Xiu was already so wealthy yet still chose to scam Luo Qiwei.
"Once we get inside the sales office, just pick whichever apartnt you like. After all, Luo Qiwei is footing the bill," Ye Xiu said with a laugh.
"Sure thing!" Murong readily agreed. She had felt bad about Ye Xiu buying her a house, but since it was Luo Qiwei’s money, she wouldn’t be so reserved.
However, just as they reached the entrance of the sales office, they were stopped by a security guard. "Hold it. Waterfront Mansion is a high-end community. We don’t serve ordinary custors."
Ye Xiu was taken aback. "Do I look like an ordinary person to you?"
"You don’t just look like one, you are one!" the security guard replied with contempt. Although he was just a security guard, he had a keen eye. Ye Xiu and Murong were dressed plainly, without a single designer brand on them. People like that couldn’t possibly afford an apartnt in Waterfront Mansion; they were definitely just here for the freebies.
"Let ask you, is it your company’s policy to bar ordinary people from entering the sales office, or is this your own decision?" Ye Xiu asked.
"Enough with the questions. Scram," the guard said impatiently. "Broke-asses should know their place. Coming to a high-end community like this to look at apartnts is just asking for humiliation."
"Teacher Ye, let’s go sowhere else," Murong suggested. "The security here is so unprofessional. The quality of the apartnts probably isn’t much better."
"Good idea," Ye Xiu agreed.
Just as they were about to leave, the security guard blocked their path.
"Who are you calling unprofessional?" the guard demanded angrily, glaring at Murong.
"Move," Ye Xiu said coldly.
"You think you can just insult soone and walk away?" The security guard pulled out his rubber truncheon. "Have her apologize to . Otherwise, neither of you are leaving here today."
Ye Xiu’s brows furrowed, and he suppressed the urge to puml the guard. "I’ll give you one more chance. Step aside and let us go. Otherwise, don’t bla for what happens next."
"Well, look at the tough guy here!" Completely unfazed by the threat, the security guard pulled out a walkie-talkie and bellowed into it, "Captain, we’ve got troublemakers. Bring so n over, quick!"
