The command center was enveloped in an eerie silence.
The previous doubts, worries, and fears had not completely vanished, but were overshadowed by an overwhelming, dizzying impact.
The scenario depicted by Song Heping was too insane, yet... damn, it was tempting!
No need for direct action, no need to bear direct risk, just spreading a word about a billion-dollar (or weapons) offer, and countless blades will slash at the lifeblood of the Aricans for them?
The risk seed to have shifted in an instant.
"Damn... a billion..."
White Bear muttered to himself, bending down to pick up the cigar from the floor, his fingers trembling slightly, "If this damned thing actually works, that mutt Sayif won't last three weeks..."
Hunter pressed his lips tightly, his arms holding the gun slowly relaxed, though there was still so doubt in his eyes, the icy resistance had evidently lted away.
He slowly nodded, albeit slightly, it represented a shift in attitude.
"Theoretically..."
Henry's glasses reflected the lights of the digital sand table, he adjusted the fra, his voice carried a hint of hoarse excitent, "This is indeed the most leveraged strategy. With minimal direct involvent, it triggers the greatest chaos. As long as the information spreads broad enough, fast enough, believable enough, an organization will inevitably be tempted. The Aricans in the open, us in the shadows, their pressure will grow exponentially."
"But the risks are huge as well."
The Queen's voice remained calm, but the technical denial faded, replaced by analysis, "How to hide the origin of the bounty? How to ensure it won't be traced back to us? How to guarantee the credibility of the fund and arms sources? Moreover, what if no organization is capable of success..."
"Origin?"
Song Heping interrupted her, a sharp glint flashed in his eyes, "There's naturally soone who can make it seamless for us. As for the money and arms..."
He paused, his voice carried an undeniable power, "What I, Song Heping, say is a nail in the board! As long as the ship sinks, I'll sell everything to fulfill it! As for whether anyone succeeds..."
He let out a cold laugh, "A billion US Dollars, enough to turn cowards into heroes, to make fools co up with genius ideas. Everywhere this ship passes, every inch of sea, or every port, any place might harbor a desperado or a human bomb, we just need to patiently wait for the first stone to be thrown."
Jiang Feng slapped his thigh fiercely, his face flushed with excitent: "Do it! Old squad leader! This damn thing is a once-and-for-all plan! Let those bastards bite each other! We'll watch the show!"
He rubbed his hands, as if he already saw the fireworks over the diterranean.
Collins grinned, revealing a smile with a taste of blood: "I like this ga plan.
Chaos is the best cover.
Let the Aricans worry, take a guess who wants them dead?"
Klein calmly nodded: "The essence of a surprise attack is breaking conventional thinking. The Aricans would never expect soone to dare issue a bounty on their warship like this. This in itself is a perfect psychological assault. I agree."
Ferrari let out a long sigh, the complex expression on his face finally turned into a bitter smile, mixed with admiration and a hint of worry: "Song, your mind... is damn devilishly clever. The risk is shifted, but this is... too big. What if..."
He ultimately didn't continue, but the aning was clear: What if it turns into an empty promise, or provokes even crazier retaliation?
"There is no what if."
Song Heping's tone was resolute, "This is the only road. Either we are worn out, blown up, or turn the tables, making sure no one gets to enjoy! Now, vote!"
Eyes t again. This ti, although shadows of doubt still lingered in the corner, more were the flas ignited by the billion-dollar bounty.
White Bear took a heavy drag from the relit cigar, in the swirling smoke, he nodded heavily.
Hunter silently nodded again.
The Queen's fingers tapped an imperceptible confirmation on the tablet.
Jiang Feng, Collins, Klein, Henry, all expressed clear agreent.
Ferrari looked into the unfathomable eyes of Song Heping, and finally raised his hand slowly.
"Good!"
Song Heping's voice bore a settled, murderous tone, "Plan approved. Codena: 'Tsunami Bounty.'
He looked sharply at Ferrari and Ferrari.
"Imdiately prepare a comprehensive 'Marlin Fish' intelligence briefing, the more detailed the better, especially its route, weaknesses, possible armant configuration. This is the sharpening stone we are preparing for the 'blade.'"
"Understood!"
Ferrari's spirit was lifted.
Song Heping said no more, and strode towards the communication room in the corner of the command center, the door closed with a heavy thud, completely shutting out the outside clamor.
---
Inside the communication room, Song Heping sat at the desk, the laptop screen before him was a deep blue interface.
Without the slightest hesitation, he typed a long string of complex instructions onto the encrypted keyboard.
The screen flickered a few tis, the deep blue faded, a connecting prompt began to blink.
Ti seed to stretch.
The few seconds of waiting felt particularly long in the dead-silent communication room. Song Heping leaned back in the chair, eyes closed, fingers unconsciously tapping the cold alloy armrest.
The searing heat of the Libya Desert, the disputes in the command center, the perilous situation at Sawinu, the shock and pressure brought by the billion-dollar bounty...
All of it settled down, transforming into a cold fla deep in his eyes.
