Now reading: Chapter 125 - 121 Avanti's Intelligence from Mercenaries, I Will Be King, a Action novel by Yan Qi Guan.

The two hundred mbers of the Free Army who ca to attack the Cook Oil Field were almost entirely annihilated.

The few half-dead ones were finished off directly with a gunshot.

The only survivor left was their Commander, Ebu.

Although he was a low-ranking officer, he still had intelligence value.

Especially since Song Heping had already resolved to eradicate the Free Army, and Avanti had agreed to provide accurate intelligence on the Free Army, Ebu's testimony was even more valuable for comparison.

Song Heping was very cautious in handling this matter.

After all, the eradication of the Free Army could either be a major or minor issue.

If not handled carefully, it could lead to the downfall of his company.

Working in this field was like licking blood off the blade of a knife.

One must be extrely careful.

Even though Avanti was the commander of the Persian special forces unit and the intelligence he provided might be reliable, it still had to be cross-referenced with the intelligence Song Heping had obtained.

If there were any discrepancies, if there were too many differences, then one of the two intelligence reports was certainly false.

Upon returning to the oil field living area, Song Heping had a platoon sent to ask the Wood Company workers to lend their bulldozer. After collecting the weapons, ammunition, and vehicles of the Free Army, they dug a hole to bury the bodies.

So many corpses left out in the open, together with the hot weather, would start to stink in no more than two days.

The cook heard about the attack on the Cook Oil Field and called to inquire about the situation.

Song Heping reassured him, saying the attack had caused no casualties and had not damaged any oil field facilities.

But he reminded the cook that his concerns had been confird.

"They used Katyusha Rocket Launchers, cook. If I hadn't happened to be returning from discussing matters with you tonight and encountered their Katyusha Rocket Launcher, I reckon our oil field facilities would have definitely suffered losses," he said.

Song Heping had previously expressed his concerns to the cook that if the enemy used long-range weapons like rocket launchers for strikes without direct attacks on the oil field, then the rcenary troops in the oil field would not be able to defend against such stealthy tactics.

"Yeah, these damned bastards are always looking to trouble us, it's indeed very hard to defend against…" the cook began to curse after hearing this.

Song Heping said, "You only fear thieves you don't know about, not the ones you catch stealing. It seems that eradicating the Free Army must be prioritized on the agenda and arranged as soon as possible. After this failed attack, I guess they won't dare to launch a direct assault anymore. They're likely to switch to long-range stealth attacks."

The cook said helplessly, "But we'd still have to wait for that Mr. Avanti to provide intelligence. We need to know exactly where their nest is; otherwise, with the mountainous areas along the Northern Border, adjacent to two countries and the terrain being quite complex, going in without accurate intelligence would lead to ambushes, equivalent to sending ourselves to death."

"Leave the intelligence to . If I don't have the information within two days, I'll urge Avanti again. If they cannot provide it, then I'll see whether Ferrari can think of sothing, to see if it's possible to buy the information from intelligence brokers," Song Heping responded.

"That's all we can do now," the cook said. "Get the intelligence as soon as possible and deal with these annoying guys. Once the Free Army is taken down, along with the deal you have with Avanti, I guess the oil field will be a lot more secure. Then we can make ti to go to the Country of Turkeys to bring back that Hassan. After all, the reward is one million dollars, worth a try."

Avanti was indeed efficient.

Song Heping thought he would need to push, but to his surprise, the next afternoon he received all the intelligence on the Free Army provided by Avanti.

Song Heping and Avanti had a unique way of communicating.

One might say it was of the level of secret agents.

The operation was mainly carried out through a tool provided by Avanti.

Avanti's side encrypted the intelligence and then split it into more than ten fragnts, which were then sent via secure email.

The intelligence in the emails was further compressed and then sent to Song Heping's computer after IP address hopping, using a European IP as cover.

After downloading the file fragnts, Song Heping used the specialized software provided by Avanti to restore them and recover the correct content.

Song Heping had so past exposure to military encryption and probably understood so of these encryption techniques, but he was not an expert.

This ti, Avanti truly showed him what intelligence encryption was all about.

The Persians have been competing with Country M's intelligence agencies for many years and are very experienced in this field.

After obtaining the intelligence, Song Heping began to compare it with the information retrieved from Ebu through the mory recovery technique used by Hunter and Disaster Star the previous night.

The intelligence from both sources matched, with minor discrepancies in the details, but no problems with key information.

According to the intelligence from both parties, the Free Army was not concentrated in one place. Years of guerrilla warfare experience taught them to disperse their main forces, mainly along the Euphrates River near the mountains around the Northern Border town of Dihuoke.

According to Ebu's confession, the Free Army's headquarters were mobile and would not stay in one place for too long, changing locations periodically and with utmost secrecy.

They usually communicated via radio, and unless there was important business, they would not go to headquarters.

The last ti Ebu had been to headquarters was half a month ago, in a village in the Northern Border mountains called Artie Village.

The intelligence provided by Avanti also ntioned that the Free Army's leadership was currently located at the corner of Artie Village.

This was the most crucial information.

Both sides confirming it ant that this piece of intelligence was true.

Song Heping checked on the map.

He found that it was a full 120 kiloters from the oil fields to Artie Village.

The journey by car would pass through vast mountainous areas.

Fortunately, the intelligence provided by the Persians was very detailed, even including a map marking out three attack routes.

The work on the map looked highly professional, with even the secret posts at the entrances of so valleys marked.

Song Heping couldn't help but admire Avanti's information-gathering capabilities.

From the map, it was clear that Avanti's organization had surely planted moles inside the Free Army and must have been there for a long ti; otherwise, they couldn't have gathered such detailed information about their organizational structure and the deploynt of their defensive forces.

Since Avanti's intelligence was reliable and so detailed, Song Heping decided to imdiately convene a secret eting of core mbers—it was ti to formulate a combat plan.

Upon receiving Song Heping's notice, core mbers of the "Musician" defense gathered that evening at the Cook Oil Field in a warehouse in the living area, where they held a tactical deploynt eting.

Once everyone had arrived, Song Heping pinned the map provided by Avanti on a board and said to everyone, "We're all experts here. Take a look at this map; it's provided by the Persians, and it marks all the Free Army's troop deploynts."

He tapped the position of Artie Village with a pencil and circled it.

"This is where their headquarters are located, with about 300 Guard soldiers. We can't possibly annihilate every branch of the Free Army, but a decapitation strike to take out their command infrastructure is possible, and at the very least, they won't recover for two years."

Grey Wolf asked, "If we take out their leadership, won't the rest of their ard forces co at us desperately? The Free Army still has more than a thousand soldiers."

Song Heping calmly replied, "I've already thought about that, which is why I've made a deal with the Persians. We will decapitate their leadership, and then they will take advantage of the Free Army's chaos to have the Madheh Army devour their remnants. The Persians have never cared for the Kurds, and the Madheh Army has been eyeing the Free Army for a long ti.

If we can take out their leadership, the Persians will be more than happy to absorb the remaining Free Army soldiers, thereby strengthening their own Madheh forces and taking over the Free Army's forr territory. It's a deal they can't lose."
