It wasn't until the other party finished speaking that he slowly opened his mouth and asked a seemingly unrelated question: "Commander Abu You, you ca to to discuss cooperation this ti. Do your friends in Langley, United States... know?"

A single sentence pierced through the slightly fervent atmosphere in the room like an icicle.

The urgency and anticipation on Abu You's face instantly froze, his pupils contracted slightly.

He opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to say sothing, but ultimately couldn't utter a sound imdiately.

The two deputies behind him instinctively exchanged a glance, a trace of unease flashed by.

The room fell into a dead silence, only the howling wind outside the window beca clearer.

Song Heping's gaze was calm yet extrely penetrating, firmly locking onto Abu You: "Or should I say, is your visit representing yourself, factions within the Kurdish Autonomous Governnt, or... have you obtained the tacit approval or even authorization from your Arican allies?"

Abu You's complexion changed several tis, his previous montum deflated in an instant.

He was a smart man, an experienced political and military figure, and instantly understood the implications behind Song Heping's words.

Who is Song Heping?

A "terrorist" and "war monger" globally wanted by the Aricans, a person on the key list of the CIA and the Departnt of Holand Security.

Who is the Kurd Ard?

The most important ground agent and ally for the Aricans in Iraq and even the Middle East, almost completely reliant on Arican military and economic aid.

A senior commander of the Kurd Ard secretly eting a wanted criminal by Arica and attempting to reach military cooperation?

If this matter gets exposed, if the Aricans find out, what kind of terrifying political earthquake will it cause?

What would the Aricans think?

Would they still trust and support the Kurd people as before?

Would his personal political life and even physical safety still be secure?

This is fundantally not a simple military cooperation issue but an extrely sensitive powder keg that could ignite the regional political structure!

Fine beads of sweat erged on Abu You's forehead, previously he held a lucky ntality, feeling he could walk the tightrope between the two forces to gain maximum benefits, even his remarks earlier lacked conviction and trust.

But now, being ruthlessly exposed by Song Heping, he realized how foolish his attempts at concealnt and opportunistic behavior were.

If even this little trick couldn't escape detection, would he still be the legendary "Ghost" Song Heping?

"...This is my tactical consideration based on current military pressures."

Abu You's voice noticeably lowered, losing his previous confidence, becoming sowhat hoarse.

"We believe that any forces beneficial to combating the common enemy 1515 should be considered... As for our Arican partners... We believe there is space for communication and explanation as long as the ultimate goals align..."

His words beca sowhat incoherent, attempting to justify, yet unable to provide a definitive answer.

Song Heping inwardly sneered, his expression calm as he looked at Abu You.

This is entirely a personal behavior by Abu You or part of Kurd's internal leadership; the Aricans are definitely unaware, and might even be extrely averse to such actions.

"Commander Abu You."

Song Heping no longer wanted to waste ti with Abu You.

He stood up, his tone still calm, yet carrying an undeniable decisiveness.

"I appreciate you and your colleagues' regard for us. Combating 1515 is also our goal. However, the foundation of cooperation is mutual trust and clear boundaries. Without a definitive stance from your principal allies, any form of military cooperation is unrealistic, and might even bring imnse, unbearable risks to both parties."

He glanced at the unwilling Samir, continued: "Today's eting, I'll pretend it never happened. I understand the difficulties you're facing. But I suggest you go back and think carefully, discuss it with soone who can really make decisions. If... If you can indeed solve that most crucial issue and ensure the cooperation won't bring unforeseen consequences, then it's not too late for us to talk."

After speaking, Song Heping said no more, nodding slightly to Abu You, turned, and walked out of the earthen house with a face of shock and regret with Samir.

Outside the door, the night wind was even colder.

Abu You stood still, his face changing invisibly in the dim light, eventually transforming into a long, resigned, and frustrated sigh.

He knew Song Heping was right.

This matter was far more complicated and dangerous than he imagined.

He tried to play small tricks.

But suddenly realized, whether it was Song Heping or the Aricans, they were cunning as ghosts.

There was absolutely no room for him to play both sides...
