These simple five words were like pressing the start button of a precision instrunt.

Almost in the exact microsecond the word "begin" fell—

"Whoosh—"

A faint, almost wind-covered sound, like ripping silk, ca from the eastern highlands.

It was the unique sound of the Cold Blade's VSS suppressed sniper rifle firing specialized subsonic ammunition.

In the view of the binoculars, the sentry leaning against the railing on the roof suddenly jerked his head back, a tiny mist of blood exploded at his temple, and the entire person, like a puppet with strings cut, silently slumped down, disappearing behind the rooftop platform's railing.

"Cold Blade reporting, rooftop target eliminated."

On the channel, Cold Blade's voice was as calm as a still lake, as if he had just completed a routine exercise.

The mont after the rooftop sentry fell, Petrovsky's assault team exploded like a spring compressed to its limits!

"Assault team, advance!"

Petrovsky leapt up from the shallow trench.

Like a leopard that discovered its prey, he charged towards the south wall of the courtyard with astonishing speed.

The five team mbers behind him maintained perfect tactical distance, moving swiftly like lightning, pouncing on the building like ferocious tigers.

Inside the courtyard, the three ard n dozing off by the wall seed startled by the barely noticeable thud from the roof, groggily lifting their heads—

They were t with precise and lethal short bursts from different directions.

"Pupupupu!"

"Pupu! Pup!"

The sound of the V-AR rifles equipped with highly efficient silencers beca muffled and soft, like punching a thick, heavy quilt.

The bullets precisely drilled into the heads and chests of the three insurgents, they didn't even have ti to fully display a shocked expression before their bodies jolted, slumping to the ground, their AK rifles slipping from their hands, making a few clattering sounds.

"Courtyard secured."

The muzzles of the six V-AR rifles swept every corner of the courtyard rapidly and thodically, under the vehicles, piles of firewood, the shadows of doors and windows, missing nothing.

"Listen to my orders!"

Petrovsky spoke rapidly: "Team One, clear the left rooms on the first floor! Team Two, the right rooms! Team Three, secure the stairway and proceed to the second floor after it's clear! Move quickly!"

The team mbers moved like gears in a precision machine, instantly engaging and dispersing.

Iron Hamr and Petrovsky ford a mutual support, one kicking open the left door, the other instantly slipping inside; Thunder God and Angel moved towards the right with the sa coordination; Shadow and Frost swiftly took over the stairway, pointing their guns towards the second-floor stairs, seizing a favorable position to control the ascent route.

Several suppressed gunshots along with the dull thud of bodies hitting the floor imdiately sounded below.

"First floor, left side clear. One killed."

"First floor, right side clear. Two, all dealt with."

The reports were brief and cold, completely devoid of emotion.

"Stairway secure! Move to the second floor!"

Petrovsky made a forward gesture, being the first to step onto the wooden stairs leading to the second floor.

The old staircase creaked under the strain of his heavy combat boots, sounding particularly piercing in the deathly quiet building.

The second floor was a short, dimly lit hallway, flanked by wooden doors to several rooms.

At the end of the hallway was the eastern room with its heavy curtains drawn.

Just as Shadow and Frost were spreading out at the stairway, their guns aid toward the depth of the corridor—

"Creak—"

The door next to the eastern room was suddenly pulled open from the inside without any warning.

An ard insurgent, wearing only a dirty white T-shirt, was rubbing his eyes groggily as he stepped out, hitching up his trousers, looking like he wanted to use the bathroom or check on the commotion downstairs.

His gaze locked right onto the guns aid down the hallway by Shadow and Petrovsky!

Ti seed to freeze for half a second.

The insurgent's eyes instantly widened in shock, his sleep vanished, and a shout reached his throat—

"Pupu!"

Shadow's V-AR rifle barely aid, relying entirely on muscle mory and honed shooting instincts, released a perfect double-shot.

The bullets, with a faint whoosh, entered the insurgent's chest.

His body shuddered violently, making a strangled sound in his throat, he staggered back two steps, hitting the door fra heavily, then slid down softly, silent forevermore.

"Damn! We've been exposed!"

Petrovsky cursed inwardly, realizing the situation he least wanted to see had occurred.

Sure enough, the mont that insurgent fell, a panicked shouting ca from the eastern room at the end of the corridor, imdiately followed by the clattering of overturned tables and chairs, and items falling!

"They're onto us! Full assault! Full assault!"

Petrovsky no longer held back, growling into the microphone, signaling Shadow and Frost to follow as the three ford a tight assault arrowhead, charging down the corridor wall directly to the room at the end!

"Ratatatatata—!"

A string of scorching bullets shot out inside the room, striking the walls and floor of the corridor, scattering debris and dust.

"Enemy fire suppression! There are at least two automatic weapons in the target room!"

"Shadow" quickly sidestepped, pressed against the wall, evading the firing line while rapidly reporting the situation.

"Hunter reports, figures are moving at the target room's window, unable to carry out precision sniping, repeat, unable to carry out precision sniping."

On the eastern high ground.

"Hunter's" helpless voice ca through, his angle limiting his options.

"Command point received. Assault team, make your own judgnt; resolve the battle quickly! Fire team, maintain vigilance, block the courtyard exits and upstairs corridors if necessary!"

Song Heping's voice remained steady, but his pace noticeably quickened.

The situation changed.

Everyone's nerves were stretched tighter.

Inside the building, Petrovsky's eyes flashed coldly, imdiately shouting: "Thunder God! Use explosives! Blow the damn wall open for ! We're not using the corridor, we're going through the wall!"

"Received! Preparing to breach!"

"Thunder God" had already rushed from the first floor to the second.

"Shadow, Frost, provide cover fire! Draw their fire!"

"Silver" and "Frost" imdiately utilized the corridor walls as cover, poking their gun barrels out, firing suppressively toward the direction of the room door, not aiming for precision but focusing on making a commotion.

The V-AR rifle's bullets hit the wooden door and fra, producing "bang bang" and "thud thud" sounds, successfully attracting the room's firepower.

"Iron Hamr" pressed close to the wall by the stairs, found the position, removed C4 explosives from his tactical vest, and swiftly and accurately attached them to the door lock and two main hinges, pulled out a small detonator, and forcefully waved his hand backward: "Breach! All units retreat!"

All team mbers imdiately pulled back to the stairway corner, lowered their heads, covered their ears, and opened their mouths.

"Boom——!!"

A not particularly loud but extrely muffled explosion sounded, accompanied by a powerful shockwave and flying splinters, dust everywhere.

The originally not very sturdy wall was blasted open into a large hole by the directed explosive force!

"Breach! Breach!"

Petrovsky charged into the opening amidst lingering gunpowder smoke, hunched over like lightning!

Inside the opening, lay the room.

His V-AR rifle muzzle swiftly swept across the room following his sharp eyes—

The room was a ss, papers scattered everywhere, a laptop screen still glowing with a ghostly blue light.

One ard assailant was obviously stunned by the explosion, slumped in the corner, eyes vacant.

The other was more threatening, hiding behind a solid wooden bed, brandishing an AK-47, firing blindly towards the door!

"Thud thud!"

Petrovsky and "Shadow" behind him fired almost simultaneously, two 5.56mm bullets accurately passed through the slits of the bed boards, striking the daring gunman's head and neck, abruptly ceasing his shooting.

The corner man instinctively tried to grab the fallen rifle beside him; however, "Frost's" bullet flew as if it had eyes, "thud thud" hitting his right arm and left shoulder swivel joint.

The man let out a miserable scream, completely losing his ability to resist.

"Clear!"

"Clear!"

The room temporarily fell into silence, only gunpowder and dust slowly drifting down.

However, Petrovsky quickly scanned around, his heart sank sharply—aside from these two ard n, there was no one in the room! Orwell was nowhere in sight!

"Target not in the main room!"

Petrovsky growled into the microphone, his tone carrying suppressed anger and a hint of imperceptible urgency.

"Check the bathroom! And that wardrobe!"

"Shadow" reminded, his gun muzzle constantly pointed at potential hiding spots in the room.

"Thunder God" kicked open the bathroom door; it was empty.

"The wardrobe!"

"Frost's" gun muzzle pointed to the hefty wooden wardrobe in the room's corner.

Petrovsky gestured, "Iron Hamr" and "Angel" approached the wardrobe from both sides, simultaneously exerting force, pulling open the two doors—

Inside the wardrobe, only a few long robes hung ssily and so miscellaneous items.

"Damn it! Where's the person?!"

Nurous questions popped up in Petrovsky's mind, his fury almost bursting out.

Vanished!?

The target disappeared!?
