After all, these two are directly involved within Illiguo in attacking the 1515 Ard Force, and are the two most important forces out of the three armies.
Initially, it was Song Heping who was in charge of the main attack, marching straight south to capture Titrick, thereby drawing most of the 1515 ard forces from Northwest Illiguo, while the Kurdish and governnt army were only providing support.
Now that Song Heping has retreated, it's equivalent to throwing the Illiguo governnt army and Kurdish people to the forefront of the battle line.
When the news reached the Elbil Kurdish Ard Alliance Headquarters, General Shaher, a seasoned commander of the Kurdish forces, looked at the urgent dispatch from the intelligence officer about the ambush encountered at Tuz Valley and Song Heping forces ceasing their attack; his already dark face turned even darker, as if draining water out of it.
He imdiately summoned his chief of staff and several frontline brigade commanders for an urgent situation assessnt.
"Gentlen, the worst situation might be unfolding."
General Shaher pointed at Hulmatu's location on the map.
"Two hours ago, intense fighting occurred in Tuz Valley. Song Heping's reconnaissance detachnt suffered heavy losses due to erroneous intelligence provided by the US side. Now, according to reliable information, Song Heping's n have started retreating, seemingly not planning to continue the southern assault on Hulmatu…"
"They actually retreated?!"
A frontline brigade commander, looking at the arrows on the map, exclaid: "General! This ans those 1515 madn can quickly divert forces from Hulmatu to confront us! Our flanks, our front, pressure will grow rapidly! Our current troops and equipnt are totally inadequate to handle simultaneously!"
The chief of staff, present, was relatively calm: "General, Commander Zaham is right. We must imdiately adjust our deploynts. The original plan to attack southwest must be imdiately canceled, all forces should switch to a full defensive posture, strengthen current positions, especially at the junction of the flanks, we need to deploy anti-tank teams and engineers to prevent enemy assaults."
General Shaher nodded heavily; he was well aware of the severity of the situation.
According to the "Furnace" operation's original plan, they were positioned at Song Heping's western flank, providing support.
Had Song Heping captured Daguge and continued southward to Hulmatu, their frontline would also have advanced with them, encountering little intense resistance along the way—since a significant portion of the 1515 ard forces in Northwest Illiguo had been attracted by Song Heping and were dispatched towards Titrick and Hulmatu.
Now Song Heping has retreated...
What's going on?!
He retreated, leaving my flank exposed, now on the map it's beco a salient!
Damn Song Heping!
He actually withdrew!
What about the promised fiercest rcenaries?!
This is it?
One ambush and he withdrew?!
Looking at the map representation showing his forces becoming a solitary spearhead, Shaher swiftly ordered: "Imdiately send a report to the Baghdad US Military liaison officer with the strongest language! Let them know that due to Song Heping's forces pulling back, my frontline is facing unprecedented imnse pressure, enemy reinforcents might arrive at any mont, we are likely facing an unfavorable situation being attacked from three sides."
"We urgently need more air support to cover our retreat to safety, if we do not receive tily, adequate supply and support, my forces cannot guarantee the current front line will not collapse, the northwest gateway to Elbil is at risk of being reopened!"
He looked at the anxious faces of his generals and lowered his voice, adding to the chief of staff: "Moreover… try, through our own most secret channels, to establish so… informal contact with Song Heping's non-military personnel. Do not involve any concrete military content, just express… our 'sympathy' for their predicant, and casually inquire whether they… can continue your southern offensive, or even feign a move, perhaps at least wait until we retreat to safety…"
Amid chaos on all fronts, Song Heping was not idle either.
He conducted one final brief situation assessnt eting with Jiang Feng and other core commanders.
"It has beco evident, it's the Aricans playing tricks!"
After reviewing the latest intelligence analysis, Jiang Feng made his judgnt.
"Look, the Russians sent us intelligence indicating that 1515's ambush troops had already entered Tuz Valley earlier, but battlefield intelligence from the Aricans was at least half an hour behind, which essentially let our reconnaissance detachnts walk into a preset trap!"
Samir also added: "My informant over in Baghdad revealed, an hour before Joseph's reconnaissance unit was attacked, the Aricans had already dispatched A-10s to the airspace near Tuz Valley standing by, which explains why the A-10 attack jets 'coincidentally' appeared there after Joseph's unit was hit hard…"
Song Heping crossed his hands, staring at the map, his eyes were sharp as a blade.
The so-called "explanation" he received from Kote when contacted past the reconnaissance detachnt ambush was vividly rembered.
Now factoring in current intelligence, indeed, it was the Aricans playing tricks.
Initially, he feared falsely accusing these bastards.
Now it seems, darn it's a bunch of shaless bastards.
Since his assumptions have been confird, it was now his turn to be shaless.
"They want to deceive us, then play the gentleman after stabbing us in the back, since this is the case, we have no need for courtesy."
Song Heping's voice was unusually calm.
"Then, let them clearly realize, who truly holds sway over the battlefield direction in Northwest Illiguo!"
He abruptly turned, striding back to the command vehicle, while issuing a series of vigorous commands:
"Order: All frontline troops, including main forces from two rcenary camps, all attacking units from the Abu You Brigade 'Liberation Forces', imdiately break contact with the enemy, complete troop withdrawal to Dagula Town and surrounding pre-set defensive regions, capitalize on favorable terrain, imdiately establish multi-layered defensive systems!"
"Simultaneously, in my na, send an official telegram to Baghdad US Joint Command Headquarters, we may word it 'politely' and 'gentlemanly', informing them that due to the severe inaccuracies in tactical intelligence provided by the US side, there exists significant, critical deviations with battlefield actual conditions, causing our vanguard reconnaissance forces to encounter enemy heavily preset ambushes in Tuz Valley, suffering extrely severe casualties in personnel and equipnt, frontline officers and soldiers are dismayed, morale severely crushed."
"Following our ergency battlefield assessnt eting, now our situation is difficult, continuing forced attacks against the well-defended Hulmatu is obviously imnsely risky, after research deciding, we pause all offensive operations against Hulmatu, the entire force retreats to Daguge for rest and await instructions. At the sa ti, request that the US side must first achieve a decisive breakthrough in the Ozham direction, or at least launch an offensive capable of effectively restraining 1515 forces in that direction, proving cooperative sincerity and tangibly sharing frontline pressure after which we might reconsider the feasibility of subsequent offensive plans."
By retreating as advancing, ceasing attacks!
This is Song Heping's counterattack!
This order was promptly executed uncompromisingly and firmly.
The massive assault group composed of "Liberation Forces", "Abu You Brigade" and "Musician" defensive rcenary camps began orderly breaking contact, tanks and armored vehicles roared, turned their heads and retreated systematically towards Daguge.
This move like toppling the first domino bone, imdiately triggered a series of intense chain reactions throughout Northwest Illiguo and even in Eastern Syria.
