Now reading: Chapter 160 - 146 Military Contract from Mercenaries, I Will Be King, a Action novel by Yan Qi Guan.

Song Heping was awoken early the next morning by the ringing of a telephone.

He got up and saw that it was the cook calling.

"What's going on today? It's nine o'clock, and you still haven't gotten up?"

Normally, the cook woke up later than Song Heping, but today he was up earlier, and thus he began to tease Song Heping.

"Didn't I tell you last night? I bought fifty thousand US dollars worth of arms from Yusuf. I was watching over them at the warehouse until dawn before I ca back."

Song Heping grabbed the mineral water beside the nightstand, twisted off the cap, and took a sip to relieve his dry mouth from just waking up.

"I'm almost at the Green Zone, you hurry up and wash up, and later we'll go to the US Army Command."

"The Command?"

Song Heping suddenly beca fully awake.

"What are we doing there?"

"Signing a contract!" the cook said. "I've taken a business deal for our company."

"A military contract?"

Going to the US Army Command to sign a contract.

It was obviously a military contract.

This was really a big deal.

Ordinary companies really didn't have this capability.

Most small companies either picked up scraps thrown out by big companies or provided security services for private enterprises or dia journalists.

Only big companies got to sign contracts directly with the US Army.

This was definitely a good thing for "Musician" Defense.

"Of course, it's a military contract, impressive right?" the cook boasted proudly. "I still have so connections here!"

That was just the cook's character.

A little starlight could make him shine with the brilliance of the sun.

Song Heping was used to it.

He was too lazy to ask what the deal was.

Based on his own assumptions, the contract amount shouldn't be big.

And he was certain about one thing, the task was definitely not easy.

By the ti he was done washing up, the cook had arrived.

The two exchanged a few words and then drove to the US Army Command.

The Command was also inside the Green Zone, within the vicinity of the Republic Palace.

Before they even entered, they suddenly saw a car drive to the open space outside the gate, and several Aricans got out of the car.

One of them looked sowhat familiar to Song Heping, but he couldn't rember where he had seen him before, he just felt a sense of familiarity.

That person also looked back at him, taking a few extra glances.

Alvin said to Wilson, "What are you looking at?"

The Wilson who was staring at Song Heping seed a bit distracted. "Nothing..."

"Let's go, we have to et the general."

"Okay."

"Do you know that Chinese person?"

"No..."

"You were staring at him, I thought you might have t before."

"No, I haven't... it's not that..."

Wilson himself was a bit confused, finally laughing it off and evading: "Maybe I've t him, not sure."

With that, the two went upstairs.

Outside, the cook also asked Song Heping, "Why were you staring at that Arican?"

Song Heping furrowed his brow, his mind racing to rember where he had seen that guy before.

Suddenly, a piece of insight flashed.

"Damn it..."

He seed to recall sothing.

The physique of that guy...

Great Alp Mountain Area...

"Watcher"?

Song Heping's hairs stood on end.

He wasn't the target of so discovery, was he?

"Let's go, it's about ti," the cook urged. "Colonel does not like to wait."

Song Heping felt sowhat unsettled.

Still, he kept his composure and said, "Let's go."

The two went upstairs.

They intended for the second floor.

Outside an office, they explained their purpose to a black sergeant who checked a schedule list.

"You are from the 'Musician' Defense, right?"

"Yes," the cook said with a beaming smile. "We have an appointnt at 9:30 to et with the Colonel."

"Sit in the chairs outside for a bit, the Colonel is eting with soone; I'll notify you when it's over," the sergeant inford them.

"Thank you, much appreciated," the cook said politely, pulling Song Heping out to wait.

In the hallway, there was a television broadcasting news.

The cook watched the news out of boredom while Song Heping thought about the earlier encounter with Wilson.

After confirming repeatedly, he was sure that this was indeed one of the "Watchers" he had seen before in the Alles Mountain Area.

Although it was night at the ti and he had only observed them with night-vision goggles, Song Heping had an excellent mory and extrely acute and reliable recall of events.

So he was almost certain it was the "Watcher."

How did this guy manage to escape the JAK Special Forces of the Chicken Country and co out whole?

That was beyond Song Heping's comprehension.

But on further reflection, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

The fact that the other party had co so close and not recognized him indeed proved one thing — the other side also didn't know who he was.

"Damn!"

Suddenly, the cook pushed Song Heping, shouting in surprise.

"Eh?" Song Heping was slightly startled. "What's the matter?"

The cook pointed at the TV and said, "Look at the news!"

Song Heping looked up and saw the TV screen.

A news report was being broadcast —

Sadam was arrested near a small town called Vadar, near Titirik.

Sadam was caught?

That was indeed shocking news.

Because the coalition forces had been looking for him for a long ti, especially the US Army.

He imdiately thought of Avanti and Hassan.

The reason Avanti had gone to such great lengths to capture Hassan was because of a portion of the gold hidden by Sadam.

Now that Sadam was captured,

What about the gold?

Would he give away the location where the gold was hidden?

If so, then the one million dollars Avanti spent might as well have been thrown into the sea.

Quite interesting...

"You can co in now,"

the black sergeant appeared again before the two n.

Song Heping and the cook quickly shifted their attention from the news.
