"Damned fuckers!"

The cook threw down his spoon and was about to enter the tent.

Song Heping quickly stopped him.

"Forget it, don't be rash, I'll go have a look first."

He knew that the cook hated those who wasted his food the most, as for the cook, the food he made was a kind of artwork.

But everyone was supposed to cooperate and go into battle together, and a real falling out now would probably affect their cooperation.

Even though the cook was still muttering his dissatisfaction, Song Heping still asked him to calm down first, after all, the success of their cooperation directly affected the outco of their mission.

A small impatience spoils great plans.

But just as Song Heping was about to enter the tent, a quarrel had already broken out inside.

"Put my stuff back right now! Or I'll twist your head off!"

"If you dare to babble here again, believe it or not, I'll blow your damn head off right now!"

"Co on! Just try! You damn sea dog!"

Song Heping knew right away that it was White Bear.

While he was still holding back the cook, White Bear had already entered the tent first.

Sohow, he had started arguing with mbers of the Seal Team as soon as he went in, and from the tone of both parties, it was clear things were already at breaking point.

Seeing White Bear arguing with people inside the tent, others also rushed in.

"Shit!"

Song Heping grabbed the cook.

"Let's go and see, make sure they don't actually start fighting!"

mbers of the Seal Team were not ordinary Arican soldiers, and the "Musicians" Defense, those old Russians, weren't easy to deal with either.

Song Heping didn't have ti to think further, he dashed into the tent in just a couple of strides.

The two groups were already positioned in a face-off, like two lions with flared fur, ready to pounce and decide the outco at any mont.

"I am the person in charge of 'Musician' Defense, let's talk things over calmly."

Song Heping stepped forward with his hand extended, not clearly knowing which of these guys was the leader, as they wore no ranks on them.

To extend a hand was to shake hands.

Shaking hands was to show friendliness.

But nobody inside extended their hand.

"I remind you all that we are supposed to cooperate together for so ti, you wouldn't want to face the enemy at the front and also have to guard against the gun from behind, would you?"

Song Heping had already made it very clear.

Falling out was definitely not a good thing.

This was a military camp, and although the Seals were not under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Mandres of this camp, if a real fight broke out, it was likely that neither side would end well.

A few of the Seal Team mbers exchanged glances with each other.

One with a large brown beard stepped forward and shook hands with Song Heping.

"I am Lieutenant Mist, the deputy leader of the squad, and this is our leader, Lieutenant Vincent."

He looked at the large bearded guy next to him, who was half a head taller than him, and introduced him to Song Heping.

Song Heping said, "My na is Song Heping."

"Hmm, I know." Mist released his hand, "We looked over your information before we ca."

Song Heping heard the tone of the other party, which seed reluctant to interact too much with him, and there seed to be a hint of disdain in his tone.

Perhaps in their view, a small company like "Musician" Defense really didn't deserve to work on a mission with mbers of such an elite unit.

Song Heping wasn't foolish.

He had noticed it too.

He hadn't planned on fostering relations with these bearded guys either.

Everything was seen as part of the contract.

So he asked White Bear, "What happened?"

White Bear pointed at his backpack, "They threw my backpack from the lower bunk to the upper bunk!"

Before Song Heping could ask, Mist quickly responded: "There are eight bunk beds here with 16 beds in total, according to the rules, you pick one side, we pick one side, picking only the lower bunks is breaking the rules, understand?"

Song Heping's gaze swept over the beds.

The beds inside the tent were divided into two sides, four each, that is, eight beds.

According to what Mist said, each party occupying one side seed reasonable.

White Bear disagreed, "Ever heard of first co, first served? We arrived first, you arrived later, that's the rule!"

The several large bearded guys across smirked condescendingly, as if laughing at a fool.

Mist said, "Russian, are you looking for trouble?"

White Bear shot back defiantly, "Arican, are you asking to get your ass kicked? I wouldn't mind obliging you with your perverted thoughts, even without Vaseline."

The just subsiding fire flared up again at once.

Six Seals imdiately had murder in their eyes and took a step forward.

White Bear and his n also took a step forward, even Samir the translator didn't back down and stood at the very front.

"Captain Vincent, can you still control your n?"

Song Heping looked at Vincent, voicing a heavily laden suggestion.

Vincent was no idiot, he also sensed the implication in Song Heping's words.

Although these Seal Team mbers were all experienced warriors, the Russians opposite also did not seem like ones to ss with.

Everyone was tough, erging from gunfire and bloodshed, if they really clashed here, it was likely to be a case of mutual destruction.

If that happened, his military career was probably over.

This mission was directly issued by the US Army Command stationed in Iraq, and as a professional soldier, he must understand the importance of obeying orders and focus on accomplishing the mission as the ultimate goal.

Getting into an uncontrollable situation upon first eting was not a smart move.

Moreover, he also realized that the tough rcenaries in front of him definitely responded better to soft tactics than to hard ones.

Especially this man from China, you could see a kind of iron-like firmness in his eyes.

Trying to overwhelm him with threats was absolutely impossible.

Unless they really pulled out knives and saw red, speaking with blood.

But doing that would really be uncontrollable.

So he countered, "Song, can you control your n?"

Song Heping said, "I can."

Vincent paused to think and then nodded, "I can too."

Then he added, "We're fewer in number, so here's what. We'll take three beds, and you guys can freely allocate the rest."

Song Heping understood that this was the greatest concession the Seals could make.

And monopolizing all the lower bunks was really unreasonable.

He turned to White Bear and said, "I think we should each take a side. You wouldn't want to sleep with a Seal right above you, would you?"

White Bear thought about it and felt that Song Heping made a lot of sense.

He disliked these Seal Team mbers with big beards, let alone having those annoying guys sleep above him.

"Fine! I sure don't want a pile of crap above my head when I sleep at night."

Song Heping spread his hands at Vincent, "So is that settled?"

Vincent nodded, "Settled."

Both sides took their belongings back to their own beds.

Vincent called out to Song Heping, "Song, let's have a eting later. We need to clarify the division of tasks for this mission."

"Okay."

Song Heping didn't object.

Cooperation, after all, definitely required pre-combat distribution.

With the ss hall destroyed, the Seal Team mbers had nowhere to eat.

They had no choice but to find a spot outside the tent to sit down and eat individual ration packs.

The cook, seeing this, went all out, even bringing a box of vodka down from the SUV and making the Russian stew in the pot even more delicious.

While cooking, he exaggeratedly made all kinds of mouth-watering gestures, occasionally bragging loudly towards the Seal Team, "So delicious! It tastes much better than that swill in the ration packs!"

Actually, the taste of the ration packs wasn't bad, but eating it often in the war zone really felt like eating pig feed.

The cook was not wrong.

Moreover, his cooking skills were indeed excellent.

Though it was a ssy stew and looked ordinary, the taste was exceptional.

With vodka added, the flavor of the dishes increased threefold.

Especially for the Russians, as long as there was vodka, they could make bread feel like a French feast, making the nearby Seal Team mbers' salivation more vigorous.

"Typical worthless rcenaries, drinking before a mission. Don't screw up tomorrow! I don't want to stake my life in Mosul because of you rookies!"

"I don't know what idiots at the command ate to make them send these people to join our mission."

"Damn it, can we not be with them? This will kill us!"

The Seal Team mbers were full of complaints, cursing their superiors for being blind.

"Look at them."

The cook said to Song Heping, "Look at their arrogant faces. They still think we want to follow them and be cannon fodder!"

Song Heping remained silent, contemplating how to respond later if Vincent made so very arrogant demands.

Dealing with these people verbally to make a point was useless.

People who ca off the battlefield only believed in one thing—strength.

After dinner, Vincent indeed gathered everyone for tactical distribution.

He hung a map of Mosul inside the tent and started explaining the current situation in the city.

The Seal Team had very detailed intelligence.

Song Heping hadn't gotten this information before.

Actually, Mosul had already been captured in April last year, but later the US Army found they couldn't occupy all areas, encountering fierce resistance in the city.

The CIA analysis suggested that it was because Sadam and his sons hadn't been captured, so the ard resistance continued to resist the US Army.

In July, Sadam's two sons and grandson were discovered in the Mosul region. The US Army organized hundreds to besiege them, deploying heavy weaponry to directly attack the building they were hiding in, killing them outright.

It was thought that killing Sadam's sons and grandson would quell the resistance in Mosul, but it actually spurred even fiercer opposition.

The CIA then believed that as long as Sadam was captured, the resistance's morale would collapse, and once Sadam was caught, all resistance would surrender their arms.

In December, Sadam was captured.

Unexpectedly, an organization called "Hunter" erged in Mosul, causing the US Army's casualties there to sharply increase.

This ti, the CIA kept quiet.

The military completely lost confidence in the CIA's intelligence capabilities. Hence they decided to set aside the CIA and solve the problem in their way.

"This operation is called 'Purification.' The higher-ups have divided Mosul into six sectors, with the strategy being that six Seal Special Combat Teams along with ground forces will infiltrate these sectors for a comprehensive purge. The ground forces will handle any encountered resistance while our main objective in the Seal Team is to completely eliminate the 'Hunter' organization.

Once we eliminate this group, I believe their will to resist will crumble."

"During the operation, each special squad will receive all-day drone support, coalition ground forces will clean out the streets, repeating the process for 10 days until all ard militants in Mosul are eliminated. The task of the Seal Teams is to follow up, support, ambush, and pursue. Do you understand what I an?"

At this point, he turned towards Song Heping, looking at him inquiringly.

Song Heping asked, "Then what are we, the rcenaries, responsible for?"

"I think you still don't understand my point," Vincent scoffed. "I didn't ntion you because as long as you don't cause any trouble and just follow the troops, it's fine. You'd better join the Army or go with Marun to clean up any resistance we encounter. Even just following and watching is okay, just don't do anything stupid."

By saying this, he clearly showed his disdain for Song Heping and his team of rcenaries.

He just treated them as if they were invisible and a burden.

As long as they didn't interfere, it was fine.

Interfering would be problematic.

Heh.

Such arrogant people are really arrogant.

Song Heping thought to himself.
