Song Heping had been silent all along.

He was staring intently at Abu.

From his position, Abu was mostly exposed.

He now had his gun resting on a pile of debris on the roof, using it as cover, but this cover only faced towards Chris's direction, leaving his back completely open to Song Heping.

Even Song Heping felt an urge to spray him with a burst from his MK18 assault rifle at this mont.

Damn, this shooting position was too good.

If he had a high-caliber rifle like a Barrett or even a 7.62 caliber sniper rifle, Song Heping was confident he could take out Abu.

But all he had on hand at the mont were his assault rifle and pistol, and nothing else.

"What a pity..."

Suddenly, he saw Abu's shoulder jerk.

Did he shoot?

He turned his head and shouted, "Tell Chris to be careful! He's fired!"

That kind of after-the-fact warning was actually of no use at all.

Song Heping had rely roared out of reflex.

In this sniper battle, he was just a spectator, unable to get involved.

"Damn it! He almost got !"

Chris was groaning and complaining over the channel.

"I just found a bullet hole. He fired into the hole, and the warhead hit a brick and bounced back, ricocheting off my arm..."

"How are you holding up?" Mist asked.

"I'm fine, not going to die! The guy finally screwed up!"

Chris's teeth were clenched so hard that even Song Heping could hear them through the headset.

"Don't take risks!" Mist said, "Stay put, the main force will soon reach area H, then he'll definitely run. I'll let you know when it's safe."

"How embarrassing!" Chris said, "This guy is too strong, even stronger than !"

After speaking, he fell silent.

Suddenly, Song Heping thought of sothing and couldn't help but turn to Mist and say, "Do you believe Chris will still try to snipe the enemy?"

Mist was stunned for a mont, then quickly picked up the radio and said, "Chris, I order you to stay put! Do you hear ?"

There was no answer.

Mist's cold sweat broke out.

"That stubborn mule! He'll definitely do it! Texans are all freaking insane!"

Mist was furious but helpless.

"It's over. If Chris dies too, then my role as captain is done. So far, Vincent, Raul, Jamie... FUCK! No, I'm going to personally take out that son of a bitch!"

Having said that, he picked up his gun and was about to go down the stairs.

"Wait!"

Song Heping knew he was worried about his teammate's life.

But getting from here to area H and then finding Abu would probably be too late.

Mist shook his head, "Can't wait! Chris will surely be reckless; I know his temper well."

Song Heping said, "Let try to take that guy out."

"You!?" Mist was astonished, "With an MK18?"

Song Heping pointed to the Desheka Heavy Machine Gun in the corner.

"I just rembered, we still have this thing."

"Desheka?!"

Mist's eyes widened.

He quickly nodded again, "The range isn't a problem, but... this is 1,500 ters, are you sure you can kill the enemy?"

The Desheka Heavy Machine Gun didn't have an optical sight, only the original chanical sight.

To aim with a chanical sight and hit a human target at 1,500 ters?

Even if you tried to see with the naked eye, at 1,500 ters, you would have a hard ti seeing a person's outline, let alone hitting the target.

Song Heping said, "It's urgent, let's just give it a try."

He walked over to the Desheka Heavy Machine Gun and said to Mist, "You're not going to just stand there stupidly, are you?"

Upon finishing, he made a motion as if carrying a rifle.

Mist finally snapped back to reality and hurried to the other side of the heavy machine gun.

Together, they exerted force and lifted it up, moving it in front of the window where the observation scope had been set up.

The view from this window was excellent, unobstructed, and they could clearly see Abu's back.

Song Heping adjusted the Desheka Heavy Machine Gun, extending the range scale to its maximum distance.

The accuracy of the Desheka Heavy Machine Gun was actually quite good. Although it was an outdated model from the era of his grandfather, its design was solid, which made it a staple on battlefields. Many countries' military forces used it not only for suppressing fire but also as a ans of low-altitude air defense.

Thanks to its 12.7mm caliber, the effective range of the Desheka could reach 2000 ters, so theoretically, hitting Abu's position wasn't a problem.

The biggest issue was how to aim.

"Why do I feel like doing this is absolutely insane?" Mist looked at the well-maintained Desheka Heavy Machine Gun: "Song, do you really think this thing can hit that sniper?"

Song Heping said, "Well, look, if one shot doesn't hit, I can fire a burst. We might as well treat it like we're attacking a group target."

After saying this, Song Heping mounted the observation scope on the Desheka Heavy Machine Gun. Then, looking through the gun's aiming baseline, he adjusted it until he could see Abu's position, and began to slowly raise the muzzle.

The Desheka Heavy Machine Gun was equipped with a tripod and a locking feature.

This allowed Song Heping to adjust it gradually.

After setting the rough direction, Song Heping started to visually size up the target.

He had to do this.

Not for aiming purposes.

At a distance of 1500 ters, chanical sights couldn't be used for precision aiming because the human body wasn't even as big as the sight, completely obscured.

After adjusting the range scale, Song Heping found a reference point in his field of view. He had to cross-reference it and then ntally calculate the trajectory of the bullet.

At 1500 ters, the trajectory of the bullet is an arc, which ans that after being fired from the muzzle, it reaches the highest point of its flight and then falls.

Therefore, the muzzle had to be aid upward, using the range scale and reference points to adjust for elevation.

This relied on experience.

Experience that was earned through firing bullets.

Song Heping concentrated on adjusting the heavy machine gun, leaving Mist agape in amazent.

At first, he thought Song Heping was joking.

But he couldn't believe it was serious!

"Song, you're an absolute madman."

He couldn't help but remark.

Song Heping joked, "Lao Mi, if I hit the target, you owe a bonus."

"What's a bonus?" Mist asked.

Song Heping said, "A reward, it ans a reward."

Mist asked, "What reward do you want?"

A sly smile appeared on the corner of Song Heping's mouth: "That rifle, the modified one."

He gestured in Abu's direction.

"That one will be mine."

"No problem!" Mist breathed a sigh of relief: "I thought you were going to ask for sothing else! It's just a sniper rifle! If you really take out the enemy, it should rightfully be yours!"

"Deal!"

Song Heping nodded, and the smile on his face disappeared.

He took aim and held his breath, then made a slight adjustnt to the height of the machine gun.

After taking a deep breath, he said, "Lao Mi, watch closely."

Having said that, he pressed the firing button on the Desheka Heavy Machine Gun.

Boom boom boom—

Boom boom boom—

Boom boom boom—

He fired off three bursts in succession.

The muffled sounds of the Desheka were like the beating of a drum.

Mist rushed to the observation scope, eager to see the outco first-hand.

"How co it hasn't hit yet?"

"Don't rush, give the bullets so ti to fly."
