Niki stood up as she spoke and moved a sheet of paper to the center of the blackboard, then used the cap of the pen to point at the figure on the paper.

"Rabbani, the man responsible for connecting with Han Fei from the Revolutionary Brigade, will be the sole liaison after the two-man team enters the Golden Crescent area. According to Han Fei's statent, we previously believed that only Adrian had seen Han Fei. But, based on Han Fei's subsequent confession, the liaison, Rabbani, had t Han Fei once on the Pakistan side, aning he can identify whether Han Fei is genuine."

She paused at this point, then returned to her seat at the table and looked at everyone.

"The most important task for the two-man team right now is to familiarize themselves with their personal backgrounds, and our biggest mission in the next few days is to remove this hidden danger and smooth the way for the two-man team to go deep into the Golden Crescent area, reach their opium factory, and et with the two leaders of the Revolutionary Brigade."

"As you all know, we currently have two options—the first is to kill Rabbani, causing the Revolutionary Brigade to switch liaisons. Taking out Rabbani can be done through a targeted strike, as our drone is already on standby over the Golden Star Moon area. we just need to locate Rabbani and we can eliminate him."

"But there's a weakness in this approach; it will surely disrupt the original plan, causing a delay in the Revolutionary Brigade's contact with Han Fei. Moreover, the most critical issue is that previous intelligence indicated that Adrian would arrive in the Golden Star Moon area three days after Han Fei's entry, aning there are three days for Han Fei to locate the opium factory and et with Azhar or Hula under the pretext of inspecting the goods. This would allow us to bomb the factory from the air and kill both Azhar and Adrian. If Rabbani's death leads to a postponed eting, perhaps Adrian will enter the Golden Crescent area before Han Fei, which would make Han Fei's entry into the Golden Star Moon a death sentence, rendering his mission aningless."

Song Heping raised his hand: "Major Niki, I have a question."

Niki stopped talking: "Go ahead."

Song Heping said, "I have a doubt. Do you have a detailed plan for the two of us entering the Golden Crescent area and eting up with people from the Revolutionary Brigade?"

Niki asked, "What do you an?"

Song Heping said, "For instance, how am I supposed to gather Bazhar, Hula, and Adrian in the opium factory and then call for aerial support to kill them? Especially since Adrian knows , how do you expect to create this scenario for you to strike?"

Niki replied, "Once Adrian arrives, you'll lure them to the opium factory on the pretext of inspecting the goods in person and eting them. Then, find an opportunity when there are few people around to take them out and subsequently make your escape."

"Fuck."

Song Heping couldn't help but curse.

"Major Niki, I find your thinking really astonishing. Do you think that's even possible? Once Adrian sees , he'll instantly recognize I'm a fake, and then what? We'll imdiately be fighting for our lives, right?"

Niki spread her hands: "That's your problem, not mine. Otherwise, why would the higher-ups transfer you from Illiguo instead of using my subordinates? Isn't it because the two of you are exceptionally skilled and top-notch special forces personnel? Isn't that so?"

"Fuck!"

Song Heping was overwheld by Niki's high praise as if he was about to black out and lose sight of the road ahead.

"We are human, not gods. Even if we could manage it, do you think there wouldn't be scores of Revolutionary Brigade soldiers on guard in the factory? Would the two of us even stand a chance of surviving?"

Niki said, "Where there's a will, there's a way, right? Although I can't think of it, you are top talents. You can think of sothing."

"Fuck!" Song Heping cursed repeatedly, realizing that in the eyes of the ISA, he and Mist were just expendable assets?

The kind that didn't need to think about returning once they went?

They were pawns crossing a river, only able to move forward, never back.

"What does 'fuck' an?" Niki couldn't help but ask.

Song Heping didn't hold back, feeling that perhaps there was not a single sane person in this cabin.

Since there were no normal people, then there was no need for normal treatnts, so he directly explained: "It ans 'fuck you'."

All eyes instantly turned to Song Heping.

Light shone from everyone's eyes.

Niki was known as a formidable woman in the Army's intelligence departnt.

And her combat ability was on par with n.

She was infamous for her temper which was not to be trifled with.

Everyone was curious about what the end would be for this Chinese man who dared to say "fuck you" directly to Niki.

The room fell silent all of a sudden.

Even Thom, who was cooking, turned around, not noticing that the beef in the pot was slowly getting burned.

Niki, with both hands on the edge of the table, stared at Song Heping in an aggressive stance for a full minute before suddenly releasing her hands and stepping back half a step, retreating in a withdrawn manner that ended the standoff.

"Song, we will dispatch at least three MQ-1 drones to keep an eye on you from the sky on your way to the processing plant, and we might even mobilize a satellite to monitor the ground. So, as long as you can lure the three of them into the opium processing factory, that's a success. Understand? As for the details, no mission commander can arrange every detail for you. Even if I consider all the possible scenarios and make contingency plans, in the end, it might all be a aningless exercise that won't help you survive. Do you see what I an?"

After a pause, she added, "Actually, if it wasn't for the issue with Han Fei's identity, I wouldn't have a problem going myself, but I just can't pose as a male Chinese."

After all that was said, what else could Song Heping say?

He could only force a wry smile and say, "Major, you've made it quite clear. It seems I don't have much of a choice."

At that mont, Song Heping actually admitted to himself that Niki was right—the best-laid plans still required improvisation when faced with unexpected challenges.

He had taken on this particular job as a statent of commitnt. Peter saw potential in him to solve this mission.

So, if this was an easy task, they likely wouldn't have gone through the hassle of pulling people from Illiguo all the way to Afghan.

"Rest assured, once you start shooting and kill a few of them, our ergency rescue team will arrive in no more than 30 minutes. You just need to hold out for 30 minutes," she reassured.

Niki then began to offer more reassurance to Song Heping.

Finally, seeing that Song Heping remained silent, Niki continued, "It now seems that the first solution to dealing with Rabbani is not feasible, which ans we must employ another strategy, that is, turning him."

Song Heping asked, "Turning him? Can you get in touch with him?"

"We have an inside source in the Golden Star Moon area," Niki said. "It should be possible to find him."

Song Heping said, "If you all have an inside source, why do we need to take the risk?"

Niki explained, "Our inside source is too low level to access core secrets."

Song Heping sighed, "Successful outcos often look alike, yet excuses for failure are always varied..."

Niki was sowhat unsettled by Song Heping's retorts. However, as an experienced commander, she managed to keep her emotions in check and continued to explain her second plan to deal with Rabbani.

"There are many ways to turn soone. We found out Rabbani's father died in the war when he was young and he was raised by his uncle. His uncle's family is still alive; they used to live in Kandahar but fled once this anti-terror war began. If we can find their whereabouts, we can turn Rabbani. If we succeed in turning Rabbani, it will be absolutely safe for you until you et Adrian, and it's also like having planted an inside source for you."

"If you can turn Rabbani, why not just have him find the opium processing plant's location for you?"

Song Heping was like a curious student, always asking questions that gave Niki a headache.

"Song, Rabbani is just a small fry. Han Fei told us he's only serving as the contact because the eting place is in his territory. If we rely on him, it's uncertain whether we'd find the opium factory or not, and nobody can guarantee that other complications won't arise over ti!"

Song Heping continued to mock, "So you're sending Mist and to risk our lives?"

Niki responded, "These are orders from the higher-ups; I'm just following commands. After dinner, just wait here and get familiar with your materials. Leave the rest to us to arrange."

Song Heping stretched lazily and said with a smile, "You just want to use the lives of Rabbani's uncle's family to coerce him into compliance. If I'm not mistaken, the Hamid that Allen is currently interrogating is the one who knows the uncle's whereabouts."

Niki couldn't help but see Song Heping in a new light.

The man had so skills.

Previously, she found it unbelievable that the superiors decided to hire rcenaries for the leading role and had criticized their stupidity behind their backs countless tis.

Now, she realized that the superiors had good judgnt after all.

"Since you're so clever, I'm sure you can make it out alive from the Golden Star Moon region. Don't worry; as soon as we break through Hamid, we will imdiately dispatch a team to bring back Rabbani's uncle's family. Before you move, we will clear any obstacles for you."

Song Heping said, "I think it would be easier if you just took out Adrian for since he's the only one who can tell if I'm genuine."

Before Niki could reply, Allen's voice ca through the walkie-talkie, "Major, Hamid has confessed. He's given up the whereabouts of Rabbani's uncle! They're hiding in a small village in the Rashid Castle area, on the border with Pakistan in the southeast."

"Well done, Allen!"

Niki's spirits imdiately lifted upon hearing this.

She clapped her hands twice.

"Jones, assemble the team imdiately; we move out now!"
