"Boss, do you really need to do business with him?!"

After leaving the arms depot on Bend Island, Grey Wolf laughed and asked Song Heping, "I think his scope here is pretty average."

"Our company isn't that big either."

Song Heping said, "Guess why Peter is looking to partner with us?"

Grey Wolf shook his head, indicating he didn't know.

Song Heping said, "Because we're a small company, it's easier to control, and in the future, it'll be easier to shift the bla. Just like with Sword, we're now trying to deal with the big arms dealers in South Arica. When they see we're new to the business, guess what will happen? They'll drive down prices or swallow up our goods. Isn't that why we ended up coming here because of such rotten circumstances?"

Grey Wolf listened and nodded continuously, finding the reasoning sound.

Song Heping turned to look out the window at the mountains and couldn't help but reflect, "In the arms trade, everyone has their own territory. The recent robbery of arms and Ivan's kidnapping, I presu, are not that simple either. The leakage of the route, interception by AUC forces, backstabbing... Who can guarantee there isn't soone from the sa trade behind this?"

Song Heping had never brought up such thoughts before.

This ti ntioning it, everyone in the car was surprised.

But upon careful consideration, it wasn't without reason.

It's just that no one had thought about it from this angle before, focusing their attention on the AUC forces instead.

"So even if we collaborate with Sword, we still have to be cautious, sotis even send soone to escort them. We could even use our partnership with Sword to lure out those in the dark greedily eyeing us. Territories are won with blood. This ti, by going into AUC territory to rescue people, we're actually building our reputation, telling everyone we're capable of reaching into South Arica, making those with ulterior motives think twice before targeting us."

Song Heping continued to share his thoughts candidly.

"Damn, kid, you're brilliant. No wonder they say you China People are highly intelligent..."

The Cook thought for a long ti before he grasped the aning behind Song Heping's words.

"But why haven't you ntioned this before? Had we known this, we could have stopped Ivan."

It might have been better not to bring this up.

On ntioning it, Song Heping beca sowhat irate.

"ntion? How to ntion? To you or to Ivan?"

He grabbed a bottle of mineral water and gulped it down fiercely.

"Didn't I advise you and your brother to stay out of this? If I had ntioned that sothing suspicious was going on, with your impulsive brother's temperant, wouldn't he have stirred up even bigger trouble? Would ntioning have helped?"

The Cook was taken aback by the scolding.

He had no rebuttal.

Song Heping was right.

He had repeatedly said to put this matter aside for now, but Ivan hadn't listened to him, and he hadn't listened to Song Heping either.

Seeing the Cook a bit embarrassed, Song Heping softened his tone and said, "Back then, our company had many more important businesses to attend to. Who had the ti to deal with this two million dollar deal? What does it an to lose sight of the bigger picture for sothing minor? Do you understand that now?"

"Understood."

Grey Wolf was sincerely convinced.

Hunter chid in, "Understood."

Both were thoroughly convinced, ti and again proving Song Heping's intellect was indeed sharp; following his lead was never wrong.

On the other hand, the Cook felt sowhat dejected.

Although older than Song Heping, he seed more immature in dealing with issues.

It wasn't that he had any complaints about Song Heping.

It was just an indefinable sense of loss.

As they were about to reach Baeza, Song Heping made a call to Dominic.

The phone emitted a busy tone.

It couldn't connect.

He tried several tis, all the sa.

"Why can't this number get through?!"

Song Heping was sowhat surprised.

The number was given by Chris Chen, and theoretically, it shouldn't be a fake.

The other side had no reason to play tricks on him.

He flipped through the paper, and besides the number, there was an address.

Song Heping handed the address to Grey Wolf: "Navigate to this place."

"No problem."

Grey Wolf quickly set the location on the GPS navigator.

Then, sowhat uneasily, he asked, "Boss, do you think that Chen could be playing us?"

"No."

In Song Heping's mind, the image of Chen surfaced.

"He wouldn't deceive ."

When Chen gave the address, he had also said if the phone didn't connect, then to go according to the address to find soone.

This address was on the outskirts of Baeza in a mountainous area, and from the navigator and the map, it seed quite desolate.

With a belly full of questions, after nearly two hours of mountainous road travel, they finally arrived at the location specified by the navigator.

"We're almost there..."

Grey Wolf, while gripping the steering wheel, cautiously scanned the surroundings.

"It should be around here; how co it seems like there is no one?"

Everyone was observing the surroundings.

Mountains were everywhere.

If it's about scenery, this place was stunningly beautiful.

It must be said, the jungles of South Arica are truly a vibrant green paradise.

Because it was pristine, those dense trees rose high into the clouds, obscuring the sky, and their trunks were so thick that they were breathtaking, so wider than the off-road vehicle.

Two Land Rover Defenders drove on the dirt road between the mountains, with enormous orderly trees on both sides, making the passengers feel as if they were being watched by two rows of giants.

There was no sign of any houses around.

Because you simply couldn't see any!

On both sides were trees, and behind those trees, more trees, bushes, and vines, various local plants, but no signs of people or houses.

"Should we go down and take a look?"

Grey Wolf stared at the GPS for a long while, then said, "The interference here is quite severe. It just indicated that we are almost there, and I'm afraid we will overshoot it if we don't stop soon."

"Stop the car; let's split up to take a look. Everyone, take your guns and be cautious."

Song Heping glanced at the huge trees outside the window; he had a natural wariness of jungles.

Even without enemies, wild beasts could appear at any mont.

But he loved these places the most.

As a forr special soldier who had undergone wilderness training, jungles ant vitality to him, especially the pristine ones, places where only the strong could survive.

The two off-road vehicles stopped by the roadside, everyone got out, leaving the Queen to watch the cars while the rest split into three groups and dispersed in different directions to scout.

The wind swept through the treetops, and the leaves rustled as if whispering ancient secrets.

Song Heping could even hear the murmuring of streams within the vast rainforest and occasionally the calls of birds.

Suddenly, sothing hit the ground near Song Heping's feet with a dull sound.

This made Song Heping quickly step back and crouch down, pointing his gun towards the canopy.

The object had been thrown from above, specifically from a tree to his right.

Within his line of sight, a capuchin monkey bared its teeth and scread at them a few tis, then quickly jumped from one tree to another as if mocking him.

"Damned monkey! You scared !"

Grey Wolf picked up the unknown fruit thrown by the monkey, annoyed, he threw it back at the monkey.

The capuchin monkey squealed twice, leaped away, and vanished from their sight.

"Boss! There's sothing here! Co quickly!"

The Hunter, walking in the opposite direction from the two, suddenly shouted.

Song Heping and Grey Wolf hurried over.

They were not far apart, just less than a hundred ters.

The Hunter had walked towards the right side of the road and climbed over a small hill.

Just on the other side of the hill, the view suddenly opened up to a valley, and on the opposite side of the valley was a hill with a wooden cabin on its slope.

"Let's go over and take a look!"

Song Heping took out his binoculars to observe and confird there must be soone living in that wooden cabin, because there was a sizable yard in front of the house with a fence made of wooden stakes, an old pickup truck parked inside, and distinct tire tracks at the entrance.

If it had been uninhabited for a long ti, considering the climate and conditions here, grass would have grown all over, and the tire tracks would definitely not have survived.

As the six of them crossed the valley and arrived at the base of the hill, Song Heping suddenly ordered everyone to stop.

He shouted towards the cabin, "Dominic! Dominic! My na is Song, referred by Chris Chen, and we co in peace, just seeking your help!"

After shouting, there was no response from the cabin.

The distance wasn't far; the hill was not very tall, only about thirty ters between them.

"Dominic! Are you there!?"

Song Heping patiently called out a few more tis.

Finally, the Cook lost his patience, "What are you yelling for!? Why not just go there and knock on the door?"

Song Heping shook his head, pointing ahead, "I feel sothing is not right, look at the slope and the fence around the yard, there seems to be sothing, I saw so vines that appeared to be deliberately placed on the fence, there might be traps here."

"Traps!?"

The Cook looked incredulous.

"That guy is a pilot!"

"Does being a pilot an he can't set up traps?" Song Heping said, "Maybe he lives here alone, setting these up not specifically against us..."

He lifted his gaze, focusing on the cabin.

"You all wait here; I'll go check it out myself."

Having said this, he directly unloaded his rifle and handed it to Grey Wolf.

"Be careful..." Grey Wolf cautioned, "If there's a remote detonation device, then..."

Song Heping understood his concern, but he had his own judgnt, "No worries, I have a feeling."

With that, he glanced ahead and slowly walked towards the house.
