Song Heping picked up the stack of docunts on the table without changing his expression and looked over them very thoroughly.

"What brand of cara?"

He suddenly blurted out a sentence that caught Simon sowhat off guard.

"What?!"

Simon thought he had misheard.

"What did you just say?"

Song Heping picked up one of the photos, turning it toward Simon.

"This one is taken with high precision,, artistic level is also very high, it's as if from three or four stories high. So I wanted to ask what cara you used, I might buy one myself, might need it in the future."

Simon stiffened like a statue.

After a mont, his complexion beca increasingly unsightly, as if covered in a layer of dark mist.

It might have been the lighting, but his pale face seed sowhat distorted and misshapen.

He suddenly swung his arm, snatched the docunts from Song Heping's hands, slapped them hard on the table, then raised his index finger like an upright gun, almost pressing it against Song Heping's forehead, and roared like a wild animal, "Do you think this is funny?! Huh? Do you think you're being tough?! You really think you can run circles around and I can do nothing about it?!"

Song Heping shook his head, his gaze locking onto Simon's eyes: "No, I do not think so."

"Then explain this to ! Are you buying SA-9 missile launch systems?!"

Simon viciously shouted, "You better answer honestly. Don't think just because you survived waterboarding last ti that I have no way to handle you. This is the CIA, we have hundreds of ways to pry your mouth open!"

He withdrew his finger, and jabbed forcefully at the stack of photos, making the table thud loudly.

"Even without your testimony, just based on these I can have you sent to Guantanamo, and the Old Witch Nancy you rely on can't do anything about us!"

Song Heping sighed, reached for the photos on the table, and then selected one, saying, "Isn't it clear from the photos you took? Why do you still need to interrogate ? Yes, this one is about my discussion with Yousuf regarding the purchase of the SA-9 missile launch system. Correct, I bought the complete set, including the carrier vehicles, paying him $500,000 per set."

After that, he picked up another photo, "This one, was it taken tonight? You saw as well, the trucks are from my company, the cranes too, and you are right, I purchased three sets of the SA-9 air defense systems."

He smiled and threw the photos back onto the table.

Song Heping's confession completely bewildered Simon.

He had not expected Song Heping to be so candid, without any attempt at concealnt or evasion.

Even without bothering to offer an explanation, he just admitted he was trafficking in arms.

"What are you using these three systems for? Are you planning to provide air attack capabilities against the US Army for the Illiguo rebels?!" Simon pressed on.

Since Song Heping had admitted it, he might as well clarify and obtain stronger evidence to keep him in Guantanamo longer.

"Hahahaha!"

Unexpectedly, just after he finished speaking, Song Heping burst out laughing again, bending over with laughter, sitting in his chair like a cooked prawn.

Seeing his uncontrollable laughter, Simon was thrown off again.

At least he was professionally trained and typically wouldn't lose his composure.

But he had never encountered soone like Song Heping.

Others who entered the CIA interrogation room usually turned pale, nowhere close to how Song Heping could laugh one mont and toy around with him the next, hardly behaving like a normal person.

"What are you laughing at?! Answer my question!"

Simon suddenly felt a sense of powerlessness.

Actually, he could just have soone take Song Heping away and lock him up, arrange a flight in a few days, and have a squad escort him to Guantanamo, as most CIA actions involving terrorists were handled this way.

Once in Guantanamo, most "tough guys" turned into "softies," so even becoming ntally unstable.

That hellhole was no place for humans.

Nevertheless, Simon couldn't explain why he just wanted to get every single confession out of Song Heping's mouth.

Perhaps his previous failures had already made him sowhat paranoid. Song Heping was like a nightmare deep in his heart. If he couldn't overco it, he would forever be trapped under that unseen, intangible shadow.

Suddenly, he pulled out his gun, cocked it, and pressed it against Song Heping's forehead.

This action shocked the two GRS team mbers next to him, who wanted to intervene but dared not.

Song Heping stopped laughing, looked into the black muzzle, and said calmly, "Station Chief Simon, I laugh because I think you are truly foolish. You are a station chief for the CIA, a mid-level officer in the world's largest intelligence organization. Haven't you ever thought how naive your question was just now?"

Simon was stunned again.

Song Heping continued, "Where did you capture ? Which direction was I heading?"

As the confusion in Simon's eyes gradually cleared, suddenly, his face flushed red, and his gun dropped down.

Song Heping looked at him with a smile, knowing Simon had figured it out.

When they captured him, the convoy was heading south.

The southern part of Illiguo was relatively safe, with most ard Resistance Organizations located in the southwest or northwest.

Moreover, since Simon could capture him tonight, that ant many days of preparation had been done.

Thus, Simon must have known that these batches of SA-9 missiles had already processed regular exit procedures.

If they were exiting the country, how could Simon not know they were being sent to Africa?

If they were exiting, then they certainly wouldn't be sold to dostic Resistance Organizations.

Simon was just confused by his own stirred thoughts, which led to a loss of basic judgent.

Under Song Heping's mocking gaze, Simon reluctantly holstered his gun, and the two GRS team mbers also secretly heaved a sigh of relief.

"So, who are you selling the SA-9 missiles to? Which terrorist organization in Africa?" Simon finally got his thoughts in order and returned to the main point.

Unexpectedly, Song Heping shook his head again.

"What does your shaking your head an?!" Simon suppressed his anger and continued to stare at Song Heping, issuing his query.

Song Heping calmly replied, "No comnt."

"Are you looking for death, do you know?" Simon said, "Here, if you don't speak, the interrogators at Guantanamo will pry the answer from your mouth. My interrogation here is quite civilized, the guards and interrogators at Guantanamo are not so courteous."

Song Heping smiled and said, "Then I thank you, but my answer remains the sa—no comnt."

The room fell silent again.

Simon stopped talking.

He searched for answers in Song Heping's face with his gaze.

The two GRS mbers behind him clicked their tongues in wonder.

It was their first ti encountering soone so resistant during interrogation.

One of the mbers could not hold back and said to Simon, "SIR, let's hand him over to the interrogation team to deal with this kid."

He ant well, advising Simon not to continue wasting ti on Song Heping.

Simon seed to be swayed.

He felt that Song Heping was a tough nut to crack, indeed challenging to break through using ordinary interrogation thods. They had subjected him to waterboarding all night last ti and couldn't make him confess.

Let alone having a civilized conversation here.

The photos and docunts on the table were sufficient to convict Song Heping.

Actually, there was no need to waste too much ti here.

They would rather check how the interrogations of the others caught with him were progressing.

They could probably gather all the necessary information and establish the entire case file before dawn, which would allow them to apply for Song Heping's transfer to Guantanamo Prison.

Song Heping was the legal representative of "Musician" Defense; incarcerating him ant that the company was also involved in the arms trafficking case. The military couldn't cooperate with a tarnished PMC company, and so they could legitimately request the military to cancel its cooperation with "Musician" Defense.

This ant that the task assigned to him by Councilman Charlie was accomplished.

Thinking of this, Simon suddenly felt refreshed, as if he had set down so burden.

At last, a smile appeared on his face, and he stood up to say to Song Heping, "Since it's like this, I'll just hand you over to the interrogation team. You can endure a lot, so endure so more suffering."

As he spoke, he started packing up the docunts on the table into a file bag.

"I've lost interest in wasting ti with you here, you've completely lost tonight, you're finished, do you understand, Song?"

Saying this, Simon couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Before his laughter had subsided, Song Heping suddenly interrupted his mirth, "Station chief Simon, I think you've celebrated too soon."

Simon's smile vanished as quickly as ice cream lts in the sun.

In a few seconds, his mind raced, pondering if Song Heping was bluffing him.

He couldn't hold back and blurted out, "You think you still have a chance to turn things around?!"

Song Heping said, "Station chief, you cannot trouble ."

Simon's expression changed, and he returned to his seat.

"Co on, tell , how can I not trouble you?"

While speaking, he picked up the file bag and gently shook it.

"With this, I can have you escorted to Guantanamo Prison tomorrow, thrown into a cell to rot for the next ten or eight years…"

"Don't be naive."

Song Heping interrupted Simon, asking very seriously, "By the way, what ti is it now?"

Instinctively, Simon actually looked at his watch and then inexplicably answered Song Heping's question, "One twenty."

Song Heping nodded slightly, looking towards the door.

He pointed his finger at the door.

"Let tell you what is going to happen next."

"Alright, I'll give you a chance to see what god you think you are, what ghost you can conjure!" Simon's eyes grew darker, "I'm eager to see what performance this clown still has to offer."

Song Heping cleared his throat and said very solemnly, "Soon, one of your subordinates will co to knock on the door, then tell you that an important visitor has arrived, soone you must see and cannot refuse. This person holds a higher rank than you and is a top-level military official. He will inform you within the limits of your authority about so situations; to what extent, I do not know. But—"

He paused.

Simon across from him wasn't so arrogant anymore, and a lack of confidence could be seen in his pupils.

"The key point is, although you are indifferent to the military officials, you could use the privileges of your intelligence departnt to refuse to release people and ask the military official to contact your superior for negotiation. But you will soon find that it won't work because your superior... it might be from the Operations Division, it may be from the Intelligence Division, or even might be a big shot like a Deputy Agency Director."

"He will call you and tell you to release imdiately, restore my freedom, and return my three SA-9 missile launch systems to , and also, to apologize to …"

"Impossible!"

Simon couldn't stand the grandiose claims of this person called Song Heping any longer.

He was telling himself a story.

And it was straight out of One Thousand and One Nights!

"Absolutely impossible!"

Just as Simon stood up and gestured for the two GRS mbers behind him to take Song Heping out and hand him over to the interrogation team, a knocking sound suddenly ca from the door.

Knock, knock, knock—

Simon was stunned.

Song Heping looked at him and pointed towards the door.

"Look, it's for you."
