The AUC's ard inclination is to the right; they exist to maintain the interests of the Colombian landowning class, and thus have always been at odds with both the ELN and FARC ard organizations. It is rumored they have military support in the background.
Song Heping had no doubts about that, having clashed with them before and witnessed military troops assisting the AUC in the pursuit and attempted killing of himself and his teammates.
From what Morins shared, it turned out that during the days when he and Morins were besieged in the jungle, everyone on the outside had thought Morins was dead.
As a result, the ELN was in a state of headless chaos. Seizing this opportunity, the AUC launched attacks on two of ELN's camps, killing over a hundred ELN mbers and injuring more than three hundred.
They directly took over a piece of territory near Northern Clavoh from the ELN.
The majority of ELN territory is located in the eastern part of Colombia, near the Venezuelan border, where there are many oil pipelines.
One of these pipelines, located near Northern Clavoh, belongs to the Colombian National Oil Company.
Any oil pipeline that passes through ELN's territory has to pay a protection fee, and although this infuriates the Colombian governnt, they have been unable to take control after a long siege. So, they could only swallow their pride and turn a blind eye, allowing the oil company to pay ELN the toll fees over the years.
Now that the AUC has taken over the territory of Northern Clavoh, it ans that ELN has lost the protection fees from this pipeline, as well as a source of inco.
Cutting off soone's financial road is like killing their parents, and what's more, the AUC is taking advantage of soone's illness to seal their fate, a classic case of kicking soone when they're down, which is what drove Morins into a towering rage.
"Alright, I think I understand now."
After listening to Morins vent his frustrations, Song Heping comforted him, "What you need now is military arms to fight them, right?"
"Yes! To beat them to a pulp!" Morins said, "I won't stop until I take back the Northern Clavoh region!"
"You're only thinking about taking back the Northern Clavoh region?"
Song Heping suddenly laughed.
He thought Morins was being too narrow-minded.
A hundred people killed, more than three hundred injured, and a piece of territory taken away, then just take it back and that's all?
How dull!
The AUC had stolen two million dollars worth of arms from him, and Song Heping had been keeping this in mind.
He had been planning to deal with the AUC anyway.

He was just nodding off when soone delivered a pillow to him.
Song Heping had been troubled by the AUC's force of eight or nine thousand n, constantly strategizing about how to wipe them out.
Now, Morins was on the sa page as him.
That was more like it.

"This land was originally yours. If the AUC pulls out, is that the end of the matter?"
Morins finally understood, but he hesitated, no longer angry as before: "You an to have annihilate the AUC completely? Song, do you know how many people they have?"
"I've looked into it," Song Heping said. "Around eight or nine thousand, and they also have covert military support."
"Do you know how many people our organization has?" Morins asked.

Especially since Ramas had ntioned when introducing Song Heping to him earlier, Song Heping led a small team into the AUC's hostage camp, not only rescuing the people but also taking out two helicopters belonging to the Colombian border patrol air squadron.
Thinking of this, Morins seed to see a glimr of victory.
"Song, you can't be joking about this, you know that if I agree, I'll have to justify it to my brothers later on."
"What? You don't trust ?"
Song Heping countered.
"No, no, no!" Morins hastily denied, "I just think it's a bit far-fetched..."
Song Heping said, "Although you are at a disadvantage in terms of manpower, if the tactics are properly employed and the weapons can be reinforced, then it is not impossible to wipe them out, or at least to deal them a heavy blow, to the extent that they wouldn't be able to recover in two or three years to oppose you."

Morins was silent again.
Although ELN had accumulated quite a fortune over the years through extortion and charging oil pipeline tolls, eight million dollars was definitely not a small number.
