"This is the place!"

Song Heping, who had sprinted two kiloters away, finally stopped at the side of the road.

Ti waits for no one!

If his guess was correct, Sayif and Angel would be on the phone by now. He wondered how long the Western girl Angel could keep Sayif, the old fox, occupied.

He swiftly took off the RPG rocket launcher from his back, unfastened his tactical pack, and fished out two broadsword mines. He quickly screwed on the fuzes and purposefully placed the mines to the left and right.

The positioning was ticulous.

There wasn't much cover here, so the mines had to be buried farther from the side of the road to avoid detection by drivers. Also, the two mines had to be cross-placed to point forward, forming a fan-shaped coverage area.

After planting the broadsword mines, Song Heping quickly set up remote detonators for the devices.

It must be said, the goodies from the loot were really useful.

He had everything he needed.

Country M is Country M, after all—the gear a Special Forces' soldier carries can always surprise you, unlike a poor rcenary like him who would hesitate to spend on such expensive remote-controlled mines.

Having done all this, Song Heping quickly withdrew to the side of the road, found a pile of dirt to his right, and hid behind it.

Then he checked the RPG rocket launcher again, took off the safety, and placed it beside him before swiftly examining his ammunition.

At that mont, Angel's voice ca through the earpiece again.

"He hung up the call! I couldn't hold him off any longer!"

"Cook! Make your move!"

Song Heping promptly issued the command.

He could wait no longer.

By now, Sayif, hiding in the farmstead, must have grown suspicious, probably realizing that Angel wouldn't be fooled, hence considering his own situation perilous.

It would have been fine for him to escape on his own accord.

But it was crucial to make sure he fled northward.

On receiving the signal from Song Heping to take action, Cook and the others hesitated no longer. White Bear, manning the M2HB heavy machine gun, targeted the patrolling Suicide Squad mbers by the fence and opened fire.

Thump thump thump—

The M2HB heavy machine gun didn't have a high rate of fire, but it carried an ever-present sense of hefty calm.

The .50 caliber machine gun is always an infantry's nightmare.

Several Suicide Squad mbers patrolling the fence, ard, were mowed down by the relentless hail of bullets, and those not hit in vital spots lay on the ground, watching their limbs bleed out, their screams piercing the night sky, sounding especially chilling.

However, they didn't suffer for long.

As the second round of gunfire swept over, a bullet usually carried them away, ending their pain instantly.

The Suicide Squad mbers responsible for farm security scread and started searching for cover with their weapons.

Unfortunately for them, a firepower ambush relies heavily on aggression.

There weren't many places to hide on the farm.

Most were just haystacks and wooden carts.

These provided no protection against the M2HB heavy machine gun.

A few Suicide Squad mbers who took cover behind obstacles were promptly brought down by bullets that pierced through, and they quickly went to et their maker.

Cook wasn't ssing around either and started with an RPG—aiming at one of the buildings that looked like a warehouse, he fired a shot.

The power of an RPG rocket isn't particularly great, but the high temperatures ignited the dry straw inside, causing a fiery explosion.

The blaze illuminated the area, bringing more convenience to the "Musician" rcenary Group mbers.

Cook, having discarded the RPG launcher, then picked up his RPD light machine gun and comnced a new round of reaping.

```
At the beginning, the rcenaries indeed had the upper hand.
The mbers of the Suicide Squad were stunned by the sudden attack and couldn't mount an effective counterattack in a short ti.
In the makeshift garage underground, a bodyguard rushed into the secret room and said to Sayif, who was still in a daze with the satellite phone, "Commander, we've been ambushed!"
Upon hearing this, Sayif broke out into a cold sweat.
He had just finished talking to Angel.
She had been hemming and hawing, beating around the bush about all sorts of things, saying she was worried about safety issues, telling him to show himself first, that she was just in the distance and would appear as soon as he did.
Could he even show himself?! He wasn't in Sajir at all.
After minutes of nonsense, Sayif suddenly realized—there was a trap!
He quickly terminated the call, turned off the satellite phone's power, and put an end to any possibility of signal tracking.
And now, with the bodyguard reporting an attack, how could Sayif not be frightened out of his wits?!
"It must be the Special Forces from Country M! Or people from the CIA!" he concluded.
The bodyguard hurriedly said, "Commander, I think we should retreat now, before they seal off all our escape routes!"
"Good!"
Sayif knew that if they encountered an attack from Country M, they had to retreat as quickly as possible, or they would not have a place to bury their bodies.
The farm was a secret hiding spot.
It had been specially managed to have escape tunnels underground.
The tunnel extended from beneath the main building to a shed dozens of ters behind, where two SUVs and two pickup trucks were ready for escape. These vehicles were fully fueled, with a heavy machine gun mounted on the pickups in case they encountered obstacles that needed clearing out.
By the ti Sayif crawled through the tunnel, moved through dozens of ters of passageways, and finally erged from the shed, he hurriedly got into the second SUV.
The lead vehicle ramd open the wooden gate, rushing northward like a roaring beast gone mad.
The machine gunners in the back of the second vehicle turned their guns and began firing at any place where they thought rcenaries might be hiding.
Sotis the purpose of fire attacks isn't to hit the target accurately, it's the suppressive effect created by the firepower and density of the bullet rain of large-caliber machine guns.
If they could force the enemy to stop firing temporarily and take cover due to pressure, they would be successful.
However, the heavy machine gunners in the pickup didn't expect that about four hundred ters to the west, a Soviet-made SVD sniper rifle had already quietly aid at them.
Pop—
Queen Julia didn't hesitate to pull the trigger.
In the scope, the last machine gunner in the pickup sprayed a mist of blood as a 7N1 sniper bullet pierced his skull, instantly claiming his life.
The other machine gunner on the pickup, upon seeing this, imdiately turned his Desheka Heavy Machine Gun towards Queen Julia's location and began to fire wildly.
The machine gun, also a Soviet-made product, was as powerful as the M2HB.
But without night vision goggles in the darkness of night and at a dium range of over 400 ters, such blind firing couldn't really be called accurate.
All bullets hit the soft mound of earth more than ten ters away from the Queen, sending soil chunks flying one to two ters into the air—it was frightening but not at all threatening.
Queen Julia lay on the embanknt, steady as an old dog. The reticle in the SVD's scope danced over the torso of the pickup's heavy machine gunner, never leaving him out of sight.
After a brief control of her breathing, she caught his chest in the crosshairs, and the trigger, already preloaded, was gently squeezed.
Pop—
A steel core bullet with an initial velocity of 830 ters per second whistled out of the barrel.
In less than a second, that unfortunate machine gunner disappeared from the scope, never to rise again.
Queen Julia slightly raised her head to watch the departing convoy, and pressed the talk button to say in a low voice, "Angel, they're headed your way."
