"Song! What the hell are you doing!? You can't just kill these people willy-nilly!"

Wilson frowned in reminder, "This is xico!"

Song Heping said, "So what if this is xico? These are drug traffickers' people. If they catch you guys—"

He turned to look at the surrounding Marines.

"Do you think they'd be polite to you? Why do you think you're all wearing masks, don't you have any idea? Isn't it because you're scared of retaliation? Stop acting so goddamn sanctimonious in front of . If we catch Shorty and his cohort, you'll be safer than you've ever been. If we delay and they escape, that's when you're least safe!"

Finishing his words, he turned back and aid at the gang mber's head.

Bang—

The second shot.

The second person.

The gang mbers lying on the ground began to whimper, collapsing in sobs.

Song Heping approached the third man, the gun barrel still aid at the guy's head.

He noticed a puddle of liquid beneath the pants of the third gang mber.

"Pissed yourself?"

The corners of his mouth curved up like an uncontrollable AK.

"Tell , and you can live."

The guy trembled even more violently.

Song Heping said, "Rember, I have no interest in your life. I'm not even after your boss's head. I'm looking for Balrot. Anyone who stops from catching Balrot tonight, I'll put down."

The killing intent blazed within him like flas.

The surrounding Marines and Wilson felt it too. Despite the burning fire around them and the high temperature, they still felt a chill down their spines.

"I'll talk—"

The gangster on the ground could no longer bear the torture, shrieking loudly with a sobbing voice.

"I'll talk! I'll talk!"

"Who is it?! Get up and point them out."

Song Heping pulled him up from the ground and turned him to face his fellow thugs.

"Tell , who?"

"Third row... fourth one..."

He shakily glanced in that direction, then hung his head in fright.

Song Heping pushed him towards the Marines, "You guys should give him so protection."

After that, he went straight to the fourth gangster in the third row and demanded, "You, stand up."

The man rose sluggishly from the ground.

Song Heping saw his face, with a knife scar on the left cheek, and eyes full of ruthlessness, high cheekbones.

Clearly a hardened criminal.

"Just kill !"

His opening statent was fierce.

"If you dare, shoot in the forehead!"

Upon hearing this, Song Heping cracked a smile and turned to Wilson, "See? A tough guy!"

Then he asked the man, "What's your na?"

"Kofi."

"Kofi, let tell you sothing worse than death." Song Heping said smilingly, "Tomorrow, the newspaper will feature a report with your na, claiming you were our insider. They'll credit you with breaching the manor and finding the tunnel. Then we'll let you go. You surely have family. Don't worry, the police and the military won't bother your whole family. You'll be quite safe."

He said, lightly tapping on the scarred side of the man's cheek.

Then he gave a thumbs-up and chuckled, "A tough guy, right? Heh."

Kofi's face turned pale.

He began to chatter his teeth.

"You're a devil!"

After a mont, Kofi squeezed out these words through clenched teeth.

Song Heping spread his hands, "If I'm called a devil by a drug trafficker, I'll take it as an honor."

"Northwest, the last exit is 11 kiloters from here. There's an exit in Leimo Town, next to the dam..."

Kofi confessed.

He could feel the breath of death.

Song Heping wasn't joking; he would really turn himself into a traitor to the organization.

Kofi wasn't afraid of dying, but Song Heping's tactics were more unbearable than death.

"Leimo Town, got it?"

Song Heping turned to face the stunned Wilson, spreading his hands, "What are you spacing out for? You waiting for to intercept them myself!?"

"Ah..."

Wilson finally snapped back to reality.

"Team B, DEA assault team, imdiately board the helicopter to Moller Town's dam for interception. Additionally, all units in charge of patrolling in the northwest, converge near the dam. Secure the dam tightly, don't let even a bird fly out!"

Finally, Song Heping could breathe a sigh of relief.

He had killed enough.

He didn't like to kill.

But sotis you have to kill.

Tonight was just such an occasion.

He turned and walked to the side, plopped down on the edge of a flowerbed, and let out a long sigh.

Wilson leaned in and asked, "Everything's arranged, what do we do next?"

Song Heping looked up at the captain of Watcher Team B, feeling a mix of amusent and disbelief.

"You're the commander, why are you asking ? My only request is to bring Balrot back to !"

After that, he stood up and walked toward the armored vehicle, pulling out a satellite phone along the way to call Jiang Feng.

"Old squad leader, how's the situation on your end?"

Jiang Feng sounded quite worried.

"It's fine…"

Song Heping had a lot to say, but found himself at a loss for words.

Tell Jiang Feng that he had almost died earlier?

Or about how much effort it took to breach the estate tonight?

Or brag about how he had kept his cool amongst the drug lords and turned danger into safety?

None of it mattered.

Song Heping thought to say sothing, but in the end said nothing.

Everything suddenly seed so dull.

Even though Jiang Feng was his confidant, spilling these details was aningless.

The world of rcenaries is like that.

The victor is king; the loser is the outcast.

You win, and without a word, you are revered as a deity.

You lose, and no matter how eloquently you speak, in the end, you're just a loser.

"Hurry over to the villa, by any ans necessary. What about the helicopter? Get one over here now, I don't trust these bastards!"

The progress was too slow.

"Hurry up! What's wrong with you all?! Can't you run?!"

Little Leva turned back to look at his fellows with their potbellies, feeling a surge of frustrated anger.

"I've told you before, how did you all start out?! You've all forgotten your roots!"

"I can't… I can't go on…"

Joaquin panted heavily, sweat drenching his head, looking like a dog that had lost its ho.

He turned back to question Balrot, "Damn it, didn't you build this tunnel? How many kiloters long is it?!"

Balrot, too, was close to running out of breath.

The estate indeed had a tunnel, which he had built, but he had always co to survey the construction progress by car, both arriving and departing by vehicle.

He had never before tried to walk from one end to the other, the total length of the passage was sothing he knew, but when it actually ca to running through it, that was a completely different story.

"11… 11.6 kiloters…"

Balrot gasped for air.

"We're almost there… almost…"

He glanced at his watch; ever since he and the group of drug lords had entered the underground passage, almost two hours had passed.

Two hours should an they were close to the end of the ten kiloters.

"Balrot, is the exit safe?!"

"Safe! Absolutely safe!"

Balrot was confidently assured.

"I had them set the exit near the hydroelectric dam, nobody would think my tunnel could go under the riverbed…"

Seeing Balrot so confident, the others finally let out a sigh of relief.

Before, when they saw the helicopters strafing the ground, each one of them was terrified out of their wits.

Drug lords are flesh and blood, not immortals, not bulletproof.

"Let's go, let's get out of here. The villa might have been breached already, my n won't hold out much longer."

As the host of the day, Joaquin still had a bit of self-awareness.

Although he had purchased a large number of weapons, compared to regular armies and the United States Special Forces, the gap was imnse.

The group followed the faint light towards the exit.

Balrot inford everyone that the exit was nearby.

Near Moller Town dam, in a field of wild grass so three hundred ters away, a pile of grass moved slightly.

Then it was pushed open.

Balrot was the first to erge.

He looked up at the bright moon in the sky, then surveyed the surroundings.

The air of freedom was so fresh.

"Co out, hurry! We need to leave this place!"

Balrot always believed his tunnel was very safe.

Just as everyone and the bodyguards were coming out of the tunnel entrance, suddenly, the entire weedy wilderness lit up like daylight.

A voice from a loudspeaker echoed in the air—

"Shorty, surrender. You're surrounded by the Marine Corps!"
