Now reading: Chapter 664 - 606: Two God Killers from Mercenaries, I Will Be King, a Action novel by Yan Qi Guan.

In the dense forest on the hillside, Damir stood gasping for breath next to a large tree like a dog with its tongue out.

"Okay...okay..."

He looked at his subordinates behind him, panting heavily.

"How many of us are left?"

"Hasmar... take a look... check the numbers, organize, if their sniping failed, by now they must... surely want to run away..."

He paused for a mont to steady his breath before continuing, "We must pursue them! Reinforcents will be here soon, they won't be able to escape in half an hour..."

Fear still lurked in Hasmar's eyes.

The shots from just before had terrified him to the core.

He had seen accurate shots from a sniper rifle before, but never shooting both fast and precise.

Just ten ters away.

Yet four lives had been lost.

That didn't even include those picked off consecutively after the convoy was attacked and blocked on the road.

He began to count the number of people.

As he counted, his hairs stood on end.

Originally when they set out, he rembered there being thirty-five n.

That did not include Curtis.

Now as he patted shoulders and counted, he found only twenty-one n were left.

"We are left with only 21 n..."

"What?!"

Damir almost jumped on the spot.

"21 n?! Are you saying we just lost 14 n?!"

"It seems like..."

Hasmar's voice trembled slightly.

Damir hesitated.

Should he pursue the enemy or not?!

If there had been over thirty n, he wouldn't even need to think.

He could've directly ordered a manhunt.

Thirty soldiers familiar with the highland terrain, skilled in navigating these mountains, ambushing two snipers would've been a piece of cake.

But now...

There were only 21 n left.

Could they really handle the enemy?

He actually hesitated.

Had it been before, he would have definitely pursued.

But this ti, he suddenly felt an inexplicable fear.

Flee?

That word seed too hard to utter.

Over twenty n being chased and killed by two?

That would be a disgrace to Alta!

Alta is an expert at guerrilla warfare!

"Damir, what do we do?!"

Hasmar actually wanted to flee, but he didn't dare to say it.

"Wait for now."

Damir was still hesitating.

He was unaware that his hesitation at this mont would eventually co at a heavy cost.

At this ti of night, within the forest on the hillside, Song Heping and Willie, like two beasts out on the hunt, were racing toward their target through the trees with the help of top-notch night vision goggles.

Fortunately, this was not the primitive jungle of South Arica; instead, it was the highland region of Central Asia, with not too many trees, no endless forest of vines and shrubs, nor thick layers of decaying leaves.

Due to the dry weather and rare rains here, the vegetation wasn't very tall and the ground was very dry.

Under these favorable conditions, the two n pushed forward at great speed.

In the blink of an eye, they had closed to within three hundred ters.

At that ti on Damir's side, he finally made up his mind.

"Take them out! We can't let them go just like that! This is Ba Country territory, if we can catch Arican Special Soldiers here, tomorrow will be a news sensation around the world!"

He had finally weighed the pros and cons and potential gains at this mont.

If they managed to kill two Arican Special Soldiers here, then the US Military and even the White House would have to explain to Ba Country, causing a diplomatic crisis that could rival the value of Curtis!

"Hasmar, you take 10 n to lead the assault, the rest follow , we'll cover and if a fight breaks out, we'll make a tactical judgent!"

"What about ?!"

Curtis seed very eager, starting to volunteer himself.

"Give a gun, I want to fight alongside you guys!"

"Brother Curtis," Damir said, "you are too important, you can't go, you must stay here, and wait for us to bring their corpses back!"

At this mont, Damir suddenly found his confidence.

What did he have to fear?!

Twenty-one n against two.

That's a ten-to-one advantage!

The advantage is absolutely mine!

I really just scared myself for nothing just now!

He even began to mock himself from a few minutes ago.

This is my turf.

It includes the mountains here, the trees here; they're all too familiar.

The moonlight is good tonight, bright enough, and there are few trees here with not many hiding spots.

If I open fire head-on, a crushing victory would be certain.

As he was indulging in the fantasy of how he would triumphantly drag back the bodies of two US Special Forces mbers or capture two prisoners, sudden bursts of gunfire ca from ahead.

Da da da—

Da da da—

Dada dada—

Peng peng peng—

Peng peng—

Boom—

Boom—

There was even the sound of Hand Grenade explosions.

Damir was startled: "How could it be so fast!?"

By "fast," he never thought the enemy voluntarily approached and attacked; instead, he wondered why his n found those two Special Soldiers so quickly.

Up to now, he still hadn't realized that the two maniacs opposite had already launched a crazy assault on him.

Killing the first ten n didn't really take much effort from Song Heping.

The enemy was completely caught by surprise.

They were just charging forward with guns in hand and heads down.

They probably never expected to run head-on into those they were chasing after just a few dozen ters.

Then...

There was no 'then.'

The ones at the front were shot down by incoming fire before they could even raise their guns.

The HK416 assault rifle with a silencer sounds very crisp when fired at night, but the decibel level is very low, purely the tallic sound of the gun's action hitting.

Song Heping took down 6 people, Willie took down 4.

Standing over ten ters apart, the two nodded at each other as a tactical summary, then gestured with a hand and continued to advance.

At that mont, Damir began to panic.

The battle was happening less than sixty ters from him, sothing he had never anticipated.

He could even see the flash of gun muzzles flickering through the sparse trees nearby, on and off in the darkness.

In less than a minute, it then stopped...

"Hasmar! Hasmar!"

He began to shout the nas of his subordinates anxiously.

However, Hasmar was already lying under a tree, with his eyes open; he had gone to Heaven.

"Spread out! Defense!"

Damir finally reacted.

He yelled, instructing the remaining eleven n to spread out.

"Find cover, hold this position!"

At this point, the several Alta ard mbers hurriedly scattered.

Curtis stayed by Damir's side.

The two crouched behind a raised mound of earth, using the terrain as cover.

A thought suddenly occurred to Damir: "Curtis brother, who do you think is pursuing us? Delta!? Or Seal Six?"

The two units he ntioned are both top-notch T1 level US Special Forces.

In his view, only mbers from these top-tier Special Forces would dare to take on more than twenty n with just two of their own.

"It's possible... but... that's not right... it could be the action branch of ISA..."

Curtis was uncertain himself.

Because at the mont, although Delta and Seal were deployed in Afghan, their location was not to the southeast.

Diverting them here and deploying them so swiftly to the border, then infiltrating this area, seed almost unbelievable.

Since when did those Pentagon bureaucrats work so efficiently?

While the two were talking, suddenly sothing flew over, landing with a very dull sound, like a ripe fruit from a tree hitting the ground.

"Hand Grenade!"

Damir was quite alert, imdiately responding by flattening himself to the ground.

However, he soon heard another dull sound of sothing landing.

The sa muffled sound.

Boom—

Boom—

The two objects that landed did not explode violently as he had expected, but emitted a very piercing noise that made one's eardrums tremble. The nearest Alta mbers were dazzled instantly, losing their vision in a mont.
