Mist crouched in front of Song Heping and sized him up before saying, "Bro, you look pretty badly hurt."

After finishing speaking, he reached out to pull off his own hemostatic belt, placed it around Song Heping's thigh, and then tightened it.

"Damn, be gentle!"

Song Heping grimaced in pain towards him.

He originally wanted to ask Mist why he was here, but forgot due to the pain.

"Haven't you been trained in the Special Forces? Can't you bear this little pain?"

Mist teased him with a grin.

Song Heping said, "I raise pigs, when did I tell you I was trained in the Special Forces… Damn! Be gentle!"

Mist added a bit more force with his hands, making Song Heping grimace again.

"You're doing it on purpose." Song Heping said, "I've never offended you."

After helping Song Heping stop the bleeding, Mist began using scissors to cut open the camouflage uniform on Song Heping's foot and leg, taking out a hemostatic package to start treating the bleeding.

"You're lucky…"

He reached out to touch Song Heping's bulletproof vest, pulled out a bullet with force.

"The bulletproof vest is of good quality, ISA's stuff is not bad."

The pain eased a bit for Song Heping, who then asked, "How co you are here?"

"?" Mist was startled for a mont, then asked, "Didn't Niki tell you when you worked for her this ti?"

"I asked her about it when we t at the airport before, she ntioned it briefly, said you had an incident." Song Heping looked at Mist, who wore a camouflage suit with no military insignia, and continued: "But when I wanted to ask what exactly happened, she left without saying a word."

Mist silently treated Song Heping's wounds, then sighed and said, "I was dishonorably discharged."

"What?!"

Song Heping said in surprise, "Dishonorably discharged?"

"Yeah." Mist shrugged his shoulders, "That ans all benefits are cancelled, and I'm tagged as a wrongdoer."

Song Heping said, "Did you shoot civilians?"

Mist suddenly exploded: "You talking about shooting civilians!"

After speaking, he yanked the bandage hard, causing Song Heping to gasp in pain again.

"I was made a scapegoat."

Mist said angrily: "I think I was frad; they found a large amount of drugs in my locker, but I damn well don't do drugs!"

Drugs?

Frad?

Set up?

A series of words popped up in Song Heping's mind.

"Just for this?"

He suddenly rembered his previous experience in xico.

"Right, have you started working for the CIA?"

"How did you know?" Mist seed sowhat surprised: "Right, I heard you've been doing well in xico recently."

Song Heping nodded, "That's right, also working for the CIA."

Mist said, "I now suspect the framing has sothing to do with the CIA. Before the incident, I was transferred to a special operation group and then assigned to execute a mission for the CIA. Sothing went wrong midway, and when I ca back, I was frad and transferred away. After returning to the country, I was taken to a military court which held significantly responsible for the mishap during the operation and for violating military regulations, resulting in a dishonorable discharge."

"What operation?" Song Heping asked.

Mist thought for a mont, shook his head, and said: "This matter has nothing to do with you, mind your own business."

Song Heping wanted to say sothing, but eventually, he didn't.

They are adults.

Adults make their own choices.

If he won't tell, then don't ask.

"Then why are you in this small team?" Song Heping was very curious, "Aren't you already out of the army? How co you are with the Seal people?"

After Mist finished bandaging the wounds, he stood up and stretched out, "Who told you these guys are from the Seal?"

"Willie told ." Song Heping pointed to the back hall.

There was no noise from Willie in the back hall at the mont.

Probably too badly injured to move, he just waited there.

"Willie!"

Song Heping shouted toward the direction of the back hall.

"I'm here! Who are you talking to?!" Willie answered.

Song Heping loudly said, "We're safe now, my people have arrived, and they are currently engaging those bastards outside! I t an old friend, he's the one who saved ."

A mont later, Song Heping heard the sound of footsteps crushing gravel and rubble coming from the direction of the back hall.

Obviously, Willie was heading this way.

Mist said, "Can you trust this partner of yours?"

Song Heping sensed that he did not want to et Willie, so he said, "If you don't want to et him, I won't insist."

Mist pulled up a field scarf to cover his face.

"It doesn't matter, I'm not in the army anymore, I don't have so many restrictions."

Song Heping asked, "Mist, tell , who are these people? How did you end up with them?"

Only then did Mist rember the content of their recent conversation, and said, "Oh, they are not part of the army, they belong to a private force."

"Private force?" Song Heping was stunned, "rcenaries?"

"Not exactly," Mist said. "They don't have to hustle like you do. They have big shots backing them, plenty of funds, and advanced equipnt, no less than any US Special Forces unit."

"You're saying they aren't part of the Seal Team?" Willie appeared at the doorway.

He clearly heard Mist's words.

"Impossible! I've seen their tattoos, so of these guys have been in the Seals."

"I've been in the Seals as well, but I'm not active duty now," Mist said. "Indeed, many of them have served in the Seals, all deployed overseas, with plenty of combat experience, but they are not regular soldiers, and they belong to a secret society."

"A society?" Song Heping was even more puzzled. "Why would a society be after us?"

Mist said, "The society I'm talking about isn't the kind of fraternity you're thinking of. It's a secret society ford by an interest group. As for why they are after you, I don't know. My squad was only ordered to deploy here, but when I saw the mission brief and realized it was you, that's why I intervened and saved you."

Song Heping asked, "Is this going to cost you your job?"

Mist laughed, "Do you know why I joined this operational squad? It's not because I'm out of jobs. I could find a job back in the United States, even join companies like your PMC - plenty are vying for it, but I want to uncover the truth! Earlier, I ntioned that failed operation, which is where I was frad, so I've been investigating it. Niki has helped a lot, and she discovered that the attack on my squad during that operation was related to this 'Satan' organization, but she later found that as we dug deeper, a lot of information involved Level Five Secrets at the CIA; she would need to apply to see them, couldn't continue to dig unless she wanted to quit, so she could only help so far, the rest is up to ."

"So you joined this organization?" Song Heping was surprised. "They dared to let you in?"

Mist said, "Is it hard for Niki to create a fake identity for ?"

Song Heping thought about it and feeling that this guy had a point, then jokingly said, "You won Niki over, right? That's why she helps you so much."

Mist disdainfully said, "That's my personal charm!"

Song Heping burst into laughter, laughed for a while, then composed himself and said, "But still, thank you for the enormous help, I've rembered this information, I will also investigate this matter, damn, I almost got killed by them!"

"Be careful."

Mist warned, "I haven't been inside for long, but this organization has very strict discipline. The operatives are retired special soldiers who work for money, but nobody knows who the boss above them is, what kind of organizational structure Satan has, who is in charge, who is involved, I still have no clue. All I know is that there is an Elder Council in charge of orchestrating the organization's operations, and those who can stay in the Elder Council are all highly influential and powerful individuals. It's said that many in the White House and Congress Hill are their people."

Song Heping keenly caught the words "Congress Hill."

"Hold on, you an there are their people in Congress Hill too?"

"Exactly, and it's more than one or two," Mist said. "This is also what I've heard, I don't know how reliable the source is. I wanted to continue to stay undercover to see when I could find out who was behind that Afghan operation, but unfortunately, it's all been blown now for saving you."

Song Heping apologized, "I've rembered this favor. If you ever run into any trouble in the future, you can find , you'll always have a desk at my company."

Mist sighed, "We'll talk about it later, I'll co to you if I really have nowhere to turn."

He looked outside, then said, "The gunfire has started to stop. Your n have won."

Willie asked, "Why are you so sure?"

Mist snorted and said, "You withstood three waves of attacks, do you know who these people are?"

He pointed to the bodies on the ground.

"Rangers, Delta, Seals, all of them."

Saying this, he himself laughed.

"Kid, you're really sothing. Originally, the organization thought sending three squads would finish you, but one team was taken out by you a few days ago; unable to handle it, they sent us too. They thought two groups would be enough to kill you, sending three was just extra insurance, but they didn't expect all to be wiped out. I'm from the last group, only two snipers and two leaders left there, they won't last."

"Help up."

Song Heping reached out his hand.

Mist pulled him up from the ground.

"Well, are you coming with us, or what?"

"I'll go on my own; I can't be seen right now," Mist said, then waved his hand, "Goodbye, kid. I hope the next ti we et, you won't be in such a dire situation."

As he was about to turn and leave, he suddenly paused, taking another look at Song Heping, then clicked his tongue twice and said, "You're one tough kid, not going down even like this."
