The escaping militants and Samir's vehicles almost collided head-on.

They only spotted each other when they were less than a hundred ters apart.

At that mont, the morale of the militants here plumted dramatically.

However, Samir was also facing problems here.

The few dozen local rcenaries led by him and Arif also lacked combat effectiveness.

Both sides were evenly matched, opening fire on each other upon eting, staging a farce of ineptitude in the wilderness.

Song Heping's main worry had been about the local rcenaries they had recruited over the past few days; most were forr governnt army soldiers, so had been kicked out of the ICDC forces for poor performance. While they had experienced handling guns, which made them slightly superior to the local security who had never touched firearms,

the recruitnt ti was too short, without any coordination among them. Describing them as a mob wasn't an exaggeration; they could serve as sentries or cannon fodder, but their combat effectiveness might well be lower than that of the mbers of the ard organization, especially in terms of combat will.

Luckily, at this ti, the other side was also desperate to escape and had completely lost their will to fight. Thus, in a confused state, they surprisingly gained the upper hand, managing to blow up the tires and engines of the two fleeing SUVs, leaving them immobilized.

During the stalemate, Song Heping arrived with the cooks from the rear, and directly stabbed the enemy in the back.

The "Musician" rcenary Group resolved the combat in less than ten minutes.

Song Heping and the cooks spread out in a fan shape, circled around, and surrounded the two SUVs.

"Be careful, there might still be people alive inside their vehicles!"

Song Heping issued a warning.

Without a word, White Bear raised his hand and sprayed one of the SUVs with a PKM machine gun.

Ratatatatata—

This light machine gun had been purchased by White Bear from Harvey after receiving a bonus of five million. Harvey had better light machine guns available, like the Arican-made 240 or M249, but White Bear still chose the classic old-style Soviet PKM machine gun.

In his words, it was simply — handy!

"Stop! Stop! Stop!"

It was already too late for Song Heping to stop him.

The SUV had turned into a beehive, and screams could be heard from inside.

Grey Wolf cautiously approached and pulled open the car door; a body rolled out, landing directly on the ground, bleeding profusely from nurous bullet holes, already lifeless.

The body was very fresh…

Clearly, it was White Bear's recent handiwork.

"Fuck!"

Song Heping couldn't help it and started fiercely berating White Bear.

"White Bear, do you guys always have to go this hard?! Not leaving a single survivor?!"

White Bear held the smoking barrel of the PKM machine gun, looking perplexed.

"Why leave any survivors?!"

Song Heping was speechless…

"Tongues! Do you know what a tongue is? A live one is called a tongue! I need to figure out who sent them, which ard organization they belong to, what they intend to do with our oil fields, and what their latest action plans are. This is all intelligence! And you still say you're a paratrooper, haven't you learned anything about reconnaissance?!"

White Bear shrugged and said, "I'm a machine gunner, not a scout!"

Song Heping was speechless again: "…"

Grey Wolf said, "There might still be soone alive in the front SUV, let's check."

The group tightened their encirclent and moved towards the second SUV.

"Anyone still breathing, get out!"

White Bear yelled at the SUV.

Seeing no response, he turned to Song Heping and said, "No one's answering, just to be safe..."

As he raised his gun to fire another burst,

"Fuck! Wait a mont!"

Song Heping hurriedly stopped him.

Then he said to the cook, "Call out in Arabic."

The cook shouted in Arabic, "If there's anyone alive in the car, co out now, or we'll shoot!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the side door of the SUV opened.

Soone really was alive.

"Don't shoot! Don't shoot!"

The man shouted in Arabic, raising his hands and crouching in the car.

White Bear quickly stepped forward and dragged the man to the ground.

Song Heping said, "Tie him up and take him back for interrogation."

After checking the scene, he said to Samir, "Collect all the weapons and ammunition, and take back any vehicles that can still run; don't waste them."

The cook, watching, couldn't help but say, "No wonder you China People make money wherever you do business, Song, you're really thrifty."

Song Heping didn't bother to argue with him about it.

Every country's military style is different, and he had seen what Da Maozi's was.

Rough and violent, but also wasteful.

Starting a business is tough!

Being economical is sothing Da Maozi would never understand.

"Cook, if you were in charge of logistics, you'd probably use up a week's worth of ammo in one day."

Samir's n rummaged around and found quite a few good things in the vehicle.

The firearms these people carried even included two M4A1 assault rifles, which are definitely not sothing ard organizations could buy on their own; the only ways to obtain them are through capture or by scavenging from the dead.

This clearly indicated they had previously attacked regular US Army troops and looted this equipnt from them.

Generally, the equipnt for scouts is pretty good.

The small unit that appeared here tonight was definitely a scouting squad from an ard organization.

So, of course, their gear wouldn't be poor.

After taking the people and equipnt back to the oilfield work area, Song Heping had Samir and his n continue to set up guard posts, while he and other core team mbers stayed to interrogate this sole survivor.

"What's your na?"

Looking at the shivering ard man tied up on the ground, Song Heping reassured him, "Don't worry, as long as you honestly answer my questions, I can let you live. After all, I'm not a killer."

The cook translated this, but the captive glanced nervously at White Bear beside him and continued to tremble.

Song Heping understood and said to White Bear, "White Bear, step outside for a mont; he's afraid of you."

White Bear chuckled and then turned to leave.

"You see, the big guy is out now; you don't have to be scared anymore, right?" Song Heping said. "What's your na?"

"Ali."

"Which ard faction do you belong to?"

"Freedom Alliance..."

"How many of you are there?"

"Over 300."

"Where is your camp?"

At this, Ali fell silent.

Song Heping asked twice more.

Ali still did not speak.

Obviously, he could disclose who he was, and to which ard faction he belonged, but he could not reveal where the camp was.

This would be equivalent to betraying his faction's stronghold.

Song Heping thought for a mont, stood up and said to the cook, "You try to pry his mouth open; I'm going to contact Ferrari for so information. He's in your hands."

After speaking, he turned and shouted outside, "White Bear, co in for a mont!"

"Coming!"

White Bear eagerly returned to the warehouse.

"Song, what do you need?"

"He's yours now," Song Heping said, then approached Ali, patted his shoulder, and added, "You have the right to remain silent. Good luck."

Then, without another word, he turned and walked away.
