The guards imdiately gathered around Abdul and Song Heping as they left the tent and headed eastward in the camp.
Along the way, Song Heping casually surveyed the environnt of the camp, noting the terrain and the deploynt of forces.
Finally, the two n were brought to a hidden makeshift warehouse at the back of the camp, where four SAM-6 missile systems were neatly arranged, each including a launch vehicle and accompanying radar equipnt.
"I have to check the goods."
"No problem, it's genuine, authentic Soviet rchandise."
Abdul was confident in his rchandise.
Song Heping pretended to inspect the weapons but was actually quickly noting all the deploynt details.
"The systems are intact, but they lack the thermal imaging module." Song Heping frowned, "This will affect night combat effectiveness."
Abdul shrugged, "Add five bars of gold, and I'll tell you where to get the parts."
"Hey! Brother." Song Heping pretended to be upset, "That's not the price Elvin discussed with initially, you're raising the price on the spot."
Elvin was an intelligence broker.
It was through Elvin that Henry contacted Abdul.
And then brokered this deal.
"You didn't ask !"
Abdul showed his gold teeth again, looking like a rogue.
Song Heping stared at him, already harboring murderous intent in his heart.
The greedy bastard deserves to die.
"Fine! Bad luck for !"
Song Heping feigned an air of helplessness, "But I don't have any extra gold bars with now. Can you let see the thermal imaging module first, and then I'll have soone send the cash over?"
"Pay first, then see the goods!" Abdul said, "If I don't see the money, I have no obligation to show you the module."
Song Heping spread his hands with a cold smile, "Custors always see the goods before buying, why would they pay first? Moreover, you've already broken your promise once, I must see the goods and discuss things clearly before I can send you the money, otherwise, the deal is off. I can go sowhere else, as far as I know, the Sahel region isn't the only place with such quality goods."
Seeing Song Heping seemingly angry, Abdul calculated in his mind and decided it was better not to ruin this deal.
After all, he was making a huge profit with the added price of five gold bars. He initially created obstacles everywhere because he was worried Song Heping was setting a trap.
Now, after several tests and observations, it seed that this Chinese-Arican in front of him wasn't sent by other intelligence agencies to set a trap, but was genuinely interested in buying the goods.
"Alright, alright!" he chose to compromise, "I can show you the goods first, but you must call imdiately after seeing them to have the gold bars sent over."
"I can only send cash," Song Heping said, "You never ntioned adding five gold bars before, I don't have that much gold."
"Fine, fine, fine!"
Abdul acted magnanimous, "Cash will do, for Elvin's sake."
In fact, he was quite pleased inside.
Feeling more at ease than before.
Song Heping's behavior obviously matched common sense.
If he had promised full of mouth to send five gold bars imdiately, Abdul would suspect he was lying.
"Go, bring the thermal imaging module!"
At this point, the deal seed to be proceeding smoothly until Song Heping noticed an ard individual quietly exiting the corner of the hangar.
He signaled to Jiang Feng with his eyes, who subtly nodded and moved his hand towards his waist where his gun was holstered.
"We'll bring the remaining gold bars tomorrow to pick up the goods."
Song Heping said, suddenly drawing his gun and firing at one of the guards.
Bang—
The guard couldn't understand what happened as his head exploded.
The remaining three guards were stunned.
The sudden upheaval caught them off guard.
In that one second of hesitation, Song Heping and Jiang Feng had already fired several shots, sending the remaining guards to the Netherworld.
Having finished, Jiang Feng rushed to the warehouse door and threw a flashbang outside.
Abdul squatted beside the missile vehicle, trying to draw his gun while shrieking, "Quick, get them!"
Before he could finish, Song Heping's gun was already pressed against his forehead.
"Move again and I'll kill you!"
Abdul imdiately fell silent.
Song Heping took out a satellite phone and pressed the ergency button, sending out a pre-set ssage.
Then he grabbed Abdul by the collar and lifted him off the ground.
"Tell those outside loudly not to co in, or the next second you'll be a cold corpse."
"Don't co in! Don't co in!"
Abdul was very obedient as he was dragged to the warehouse door, shouting to those outside, "Don't shoot! I am Abdul! Put down your guns!"
Song Heping sneered and said to Abdul, "Order your n to send a few drivers over to drive these missile launch vehicles away. We'll follow behind, and you leave with us. Tell your lackeys not to follow, I'll let you go back when we're safe. Understand?"
Abdul was still bewildered at this ti.
It felt like a dream.
Being held hostage in his own camp?!
And by just two people?!
It's like a movie plot no one would dare to make.
These two Chinese-Aricans in front of him were insane!
Weren't they afraid of dying?!
"How do I know if you'll keep your promise and let go?"
Abdul struggled a bit and raised his doubt.
"I want the missiles, not you. You're worthless, I have no grudge with you." Song Heping smiled, "Killing you would be a waste of a bullet."
Abdul felt the cold gun muzzle at his temple.
But he still stubbornly said, "Such a promise is completely unsecured! You said you ca to buy missiles, but it turns out to be robbery!"
Song Heping said, "Weren't you also temporarily raising the price? We're even."
Thud, thud, thud—
Suddenly, strange noises ca from outside.
Followed by explosions.
Boom—
Boom—
Boom—
Judging by the sound, the explosions were in the camp.
Seeing this, Song Heping imdiately said to Jiang Feng, "Let's go."
Saying that, the two quickly tugged Abdul into the car, closed the door of the missile vehicle's driver cabin, and sat inside.
Jiang Feng quickly took a gas mask from his backpack and put it on, then handed one to Song Heping.
After both put on their masks, the utterly bewildered Abdul seed to sense sothing was wrong, but he couldn't tell what.
Suddenly, yellow smoke began pouring into the warehouse...
The smoke started spreading, and soon it filled the entire warehouse.
Gunfire outside intensified.
As if soone was attacking the camp.
Abdul tasted a strange sll.
Suddenly, he understood and turned sharply to Song Heping, "You're using gas!"
"That's not poison gas, it's an anesthetic gas," Song Heping said, "If I were you, I'd hold my breath. This anesthetic gas is Russian, supposedly powerful, with severe side effects. It can be fatal."
Hearing this, Abdul panicked and wrapped his scarf around his face.
"Brother, brother... do you have an extra gas mask... give one..."
He begged with a near-tearful face.
Song Heping spread his hands and imitated Abdul's tone when he raised the price, "Sorry, you didn't ask before, so I didn't prepare one for you."
Just as Abdul was about to curse, Song Heping butt-stroked him with a gun and knocked him out.
After knocking him out, Song Heping looked at his watch.
"The chef said it would take effect thirty seconds after inhalation..."
He said, looking outside the warehouse.
The gunfire was gradually subsiding.
After another ten minutes, the camp seed completely quiet.
"That strong?" Jiang Feng was a bit surprised.
Song Heping nodded, "Moscow's stuff is crude but effective."
He glanced at the warehouse door and pushed the car door open, "Let's go, take a look."
The two jumped out of the car, with Song Heping dragging the thoroughly unconscious Abdul out. The two carried him one on each side and walked to the front of the warehouse.
Cautiously, they peeked out.
It was deathly silent outside.
A thin mist-like gas still lingered throughout the camp.
But there were no longer any people moving around.
"Indeed effective..."
Song Heping couldn't help but marvel.
"We'll have to ask the chef for more good things in the future."
