"Dual operations..."

Wright murmured to himself, the pieces of the puzzle in his mind beginning to reorganize.

Song Heping deliberately released the news about boarding Turkish Airlines, leading them to focus surveillance on the airport, while infiltrating Romania through another route.

Once this idea took shape, other doubts were resolved as well—the GRU teams that just happened to be moving toward the Black Sea must have entered Bulgaria by water, then crossed the Romanian border to rendezvous with Song Heping in Krolassi!

That's right!

This is the intention!

The suspicious but ultimately inconclusive alerts from various channels before, all were smoke bombs.

"Notify the airport team to shift imdiately, all arrest teams except the one escorting Ferrari, follow to Krolassi!"

Wright commanded, his voice slightly trembling due to the adrenaline surge.

"Notify the Romanian Special Service to strengthen checks on all main roads leading from Krolassi City to Bucharest!"

He paused, suddenly realizing the most dangerous possibility.

"Prepare to transfer the prisoner, have the escort team depart early with Ferrari to Lithuania, we can't risk leaving him here."

As the agents hurriedly executed the orders, Wright stood before the map, his fingers tracing the route from Athens to Bucharest.

He felt as if he was playing chess with an invisible opponent, and the opponent had just made a move he hadn't anticipated.

But there was one thing he was sure of—regardless of which direction Song Heping was coming from, the ultimate target was only one: the abandoned factory where Ferrari was held.

Because this is where Ferrari was detained, to rescue him, they must co to Bucharest, so evacuating Ferrari imdiately is the correct decision.

However, at that mont, an agent suddenly reported to him, "Sir, there's a call request online."

Wright stared at the suddenly popping-up video request on the screen, his brows furrowing.

"A video call from Langley Headquarters, it's the Director."

The agent's voice sounded from behind, carrying a hint of tension.

Wright took a deep breath, adjusted his jacket, then clicked to connect.

The screen flickered, and Director Vincent's face appeared on the display, his expression as stern as ever, with his graying temples particularly sharp under the cold light of the screen.

However, what made Wright's pupils contract was—Simon stood right next to the director, arms crossed, eyes sharply staring at the cara.

"Simon?"

Wright's voice carried a hint of undeniable surprise.

Wasn't that guy supposed to be under review?

Though the Yen operation's failure ultimately had no direct evidence pointing to his mistakes, according to CIA procedures, he should have been suspended for at least three months.

And now, he was standing next to the director, even participating in this operation?

"Wright." Director Vincent's voice was low and steady, "Simon volunteered to assist, he believes his understanding of Song Heping can be of help."

Wright's fingertips tightened slightly, his knuckles turning pale.

He tried to keep his expression calm, but inside a wave of mistrust surged.

Simon?

Help?

He was played around in Yen by Song Heping, and now he even dares to provide guidance?

"Report your progress," Director Vincent ordered.

Wright sighed helplessly, then quickly reported the current situation—MI6 intercepted Turkish Airlines intelligence, suspicious figures on the Athens flight, and the current abnormal activities of the GRU teams.

He deliberately did not ntion the transfer plan of Ferrari, after all, with Simon present, he did not want this information to be leaked.

However, as soon as he finished speaking, Simon sneered.

"Wright, you've been fooled."

Wright's gaze instantly turned cold.

"What do you an?"

"Song Heping won't go to Krolassi," Simon said decisively, "He will definitely take that Turkish Airlines flight and arrive in Bucharest on ti."

Wright nearly sneered.

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because I know him too well," Simon said, his voice low and firm, "Song Heping's favorite tactic is to do the opposite. He knows we would suspect that MI6's intelligence is a smoke bomb, so he deliberately acts according to the original plan."

Wright's finger gently tapped on the table, the inner irritation growing stronger.

"So, you're suggesting we should continue to lie in wait at the airport?"

"Exactly," Simon nodded, "Plus, I suggest you don't move all the forces to Krolassi, otherwise Bucharest will beco an empty city, and if Song Heping really cos, you won't be able to stop him at all."

Watching Simon acting like an operation chief, domineeringly issuing commands and advice, Wright finally couldn't stand it.

"Simon, you're still under review," his voice was icy, "Your judgnt was proven faulty in Yen, and now you're interfering with my operation again?"

Simon's face instantly darkened.

"Things in Yen aren't that simple, Wright."

"Enough," Director Vincent interrupted the two, but his gaze lingered on Wright, "Wright, Simon's suggestion is worth considering."

Wright's heart jolted.

The director was actually siding with Simon?

"Director, with respect," Wright controlled his tone, "Song Heping couldn't be foolish enough to leak his flight information to MI6. Based on our past experiences, anyone with even a little training wouldn't do that, let alone a cunning fox like Song Heping! This is clearly a decoy!"

"Or, he's hoping you'll think that way."

Simon added coldly.

"He's betting on your disbelief!"

Wright slamd the table and stood up abruptly.

"Simon! You're in no position to be part of this operation!"

The agents in the safe house fell silent instantly, and the air seed to freeze.

Director Vincent's gaze sharpened.

"Wright, calm down."

Wright took a deep breath, forcing himself to sit back down.

But inside, he had developed a full-blown hostility towards Simon.

What exactly is that guy trying to do?

His mind raced.

If Song Heping really follows the original plan?

Then by redeploying all the forces, Bucharest would beco an empty city, and Song Heping could easily break through the defenses.

But if Song Heping really went to Krolassi?

If he doesn't move, he will miss the best opportunity to capture, and once Song Heping leaves Krolassi Airport, it would be nearly impossible to find him again.

Damn it!

He hated this psychological warfare.

And what made him more uneasy was—whose side exactly was Simon on?

"Wright," Director Vincent's voice brought him back to reality, "I suggest you split the forces, with so staying in Bucharest and others going to Krolassi."

Wright glared fiercely at Simon on the screen, gritting his teeth, "Understood, Director, I'll make the appropriate adjustnts, but I still stand by my view, Song Heping couldn't possibly take a Turkish Airlines flight to Bucharest! Unless he's a complete fool!"

Now, he had made up his mind—he would never act entirely according to Simon's advice.

After the video call ended, Wright imdiately issued new orders.

"Group A, leave four people to continue airport surveillance, the others join Group B to head to Krolassi, Group C to escort Ferrari for an early transfer."

The agents quickly sprang into action, but Wright's heart was left hanging.

He was taking a gamble.

If Song Heping was indeed at the airport, then Group A would be enough to hold him off.

If he was in Krolassi, Group B would give him a "surprise."

But what troubled him most—was Simon's advice sincerely helpful, or was there another agenda?

He gazed out the window, it was already daylight in Bucharest.

But this chess ga had just begun.
