Song Heping was most proud of that ti he bagged an MK18 from a loot drop.

The MK18 he got from the loot drop was truly a complete model, equipped with every accessory it should have.

Not a single silencer was missing.

He had also heard that the MK18 was specifically designed for US Special Forces, and not only was its performance superior, but its silencing capability was especially impressive.

Moreover, at that ti, he even managed to loot two magazines of subsonic bullets.

But such things are hard to co by.

Later, Song Heping stocked up on so MK18 ammunition, but since he still had two full magazines of subsonic ammunition, he didn't bother to get more.

Two magazines were enough.

After all, they were specialized ammunition and rarely used.

But tonight, they were exactly what he needed.

Several tis, Song Heping used his scope to lock onto the soldier from the Madheh Army responsible for guarding the rear of Naxin's team, simulating an attack.

The other party didn't realize at all that he was lurking not far behind them.

At this mont, the only way to describe Naxin's feelings was "complicated."

He was eager to have a decisive battle with Song Heping.

But so far, he had not seen a single one of the "Musician"'s defense personnel.

It was as if they had disappeared into this oil field.

They hadn't even made any defensive setups on the periter.

Clearly, they had taken advantage of the vast area of the oil field to hide their people.

The oil field covered more than five hundred square kiloters.

Finding a few dozen people hidden within was not going to be easy.

Suddenly, Naxin realized how foolish he had been.

Indeed.

At least in front of Song Heping, he was foolish.

He had planned an operation limited to one hour, but had not considered that the opponent might adopt this kind of "hide-and-seek" response.

Initially, he thought that the vastness of the oil field area would be disadvantageous for Song Heping and his n, making it difficult to organize a defense.

But now, he realized that leading over two hundred n made him overconfident while actually searching for a few dozen people in an area of more than five hundred square kiloters proved to be incredibly difficult.

His previous anger had actually influenced his tactical arrangent.

He was determined to confront Song Heping directly.

But it turned out that Song Heping didn't plan to engage directly at all.

What was initially an offensive strategy had now beco passive.

He wanted to retreat but was reluctant to do so.

Now, it couldn't be said that the rice had already been cooked into a al, but it was at least half-cooked.

"I made a huge mistake…"

Naxin wasn't a stubborn person.

As an officer of the Persian special forces unit,

he was definitely adaptable.

If the road ahead was blocked, then it was ti to change.

Change tactics!

"All squads, attention, stop advancing imdiately, do not continue the search, all follow my orders, find valuable targets on-site and detonate, and evacuate imdiately after demolition!"

"Instructor, what if we don't have enough vehicles?"

A subordinate raised the question.

Right…

Vehicles.

Many of their vehicles had already been destroyed.

"Count them, how many vehicles do we still have?"

"Blue Team has 2 SUVs, 3 pickups, 38 personnel…"

"White Team has 1 SUV, 1 truck, 24 personnel…"

"Green Team has 3 SUVs, 2 pickups, 31 personnel…"

"93 people, I have 37 people here, a total of 130 people… but I have no vehicles here…"

Naxin went through the counts in his mind.

130 people, 6 SUVs, 1 truck, 6 pickups.

If they squeezed in, the 6 SUVs could hold about fifty people, the truck could fit about thirty, plus the 6 pickups...

"It should be enough…"

So, he made up his mind imdiately.

"Follow my instructions! Do not attack the living area anymore; we have lost enough tonight!"

Naxin had made a decision.

"Demolish the facility and then gather to the north. My vehicle is gone; co pick up. I have over thirty people here."

Once the order was issued, the mbers of the other squads also breathed a sigh of relief.

Continuing to search towards the living area was clearly unwise.

Not to ntion the waste of ti.

Even if they reached the living area and found the enemy, the rcenary guarding this site would have the advantage, and a bloody battle could lead to nurous casualties.

Moreover, whether the enemy was currently in the living area was still unknown.

Now that all the attack squads had penetrated several kiloters into the oil field without spotting a single enemy.

The previously high morale had now deflated like a balloon punctured by a needle, losing most of its buoyancy.

When US Air Force support would arrive was also unknown.

If any of the US attack aircraft ca, not one of the more than a hundred brothers would escape!

"Understood!"

"Let's execute imdiately!"

The squad leaders' responses carried a tone of pleasure, all reflecting a sense of profound relief.

When Naxin changed his mind, it was Song Heping's turn to be dumbfounded.

The team that had been rapidly advancing towards the living area suddenly stopped.

Song Heping quickly hid in the shadows to see what the others were up to.

He imdiately noticed sothing was off.

A few Madheh Army soldiers started to remove the tactical packs slung on their backs, rummaging through them and pulling out several dark objects.

At first, Song Heping couldn't make out what they were.

After all, night vision goggles aren't in color.

And he didn't understand Arabic.

He couldn't comprehend their chatter.

"Musician, has your team stopped moving as well?" he whispered.

"Yes, I was just about to contact you. They've stopped, seems like they don't want to advance to the living area anymore."

"Sa here," reported Hunter quickly.

Grey Wolf, of course, wasn't to be left out: "You all experiencing this? What are the Madheh Army up to on your end?"

Suddenly, Song Heping had an epiphany as he watched the few Madheh Army soldiers, who seed to be setting up detonators.

"Shit! They're going to blow up the facility!"

This ti it was clear.

Song Heping had to admit Naxin wasn't foolish.

He finally realized that continuing this way would completely trap himself and his n here.

But a smart opponent wasn't good news for him.

"White Bear, tell the brothers in the living area to split into four teams and head in different directions to co help. Musician, Grey Wolf, Hunter; we need to act first, we can't let them finish setting the bombs. If they detonate, causing extensive damage to the facility, our contract is screwed!"

"Hang in there, we're on our way!" responded White Bear.

"They've got a lot of n..." Musician said.

"A lot or not, if you want the money, forget about life; if you want life, don't take the money!"

Song Heping raised his gun, aiming at the group of Madheh Army soldiers who were huddled together installing the bomb.

"Let's do it! Hit them!"

Musician gritted his teeth in response, ready to risk it all.

Just as Song Heping was about to open fire, Naxin pulled back with a few n, squatting beside the Madheh Army soldiers.

"Are you done setting it up?"

"Almost."

"Where do you plan to blow up?"

"Instructor, there's an oil tank just nearby," one of the soldiers setting the detonators said, pointing to the right.

About twenty ters away, there indeed was a large oil tank.

The tank was part of the storage equipnt, and also a large apparatus.

Blowing it up would an a significant loss.

And if there was any leftover oil inside, it could cause a massive fire.

"Damn it!"

Song Heping suddenly changed his mind.

He took out a grenade, pulled the pin, calculated the distance and timing, released the spoon, and held it in his hand, counting down—

"1, 2…"
